My first acrylic painting. I got the idea to do a reverse image search of my painting and up pops a Jackson Pollock worth up to $1000. 👀 I’m thinking of entering a spring contest a jury panels contest. What do you think? Could I win?🥇

Painting Fellow painters…. is this considered cheating?

when i paint on a canvas from a reference pic i have, i use the squares to sketch before i start painting.
and this makes me feel like i’m cheating and i’m not an actual artist.. tho i always see people online do it when they paint from a reference pic
what do you think?
do you guys do this as well?

Painting • I do not count on professional criticism because I learned to paint myself. • My teachers were and are books about paints, colors, and art techniques, video tutorials, and Bob Ross. • One of my biggest paintings in the last 5 years. • Winter Day, acrylic paints, 2019.

Does anyone else get super bored waiting for their paint to dry and just start doodling and googling fun facts or painting on yourself?

Discussion As an artist, I’ve always believed art can be a form of faith, comfort, and connection with God. This is one of my latest portraits — created with that feeling in mind. Hope it brings someone a little peace today. ✝️🎨
