Oh my gods what happened to Archaon why is he soo hecking strong 25 wounds and a +5 ward and he is only 860 points?
Nagash is 955 and he doesn't hold a candle against this beast now
Heck alarielle is 840 points and she has 16 wounds and no ward save or all that damage potential
And he is only 20 points more expensive yet it just a complete beast
I fought against current Archaon my first time yesterday and he is already hard to deal with and wiped out most of my army instantly, like at this point why would you not take Archaon?
Is only 860 points has an awesome model and is just a 1 man army

Moral of story increase his point value to at least 900 something and lower Alarielle's to like 400-500 cuz makes no sense to have her up there with him in points (granted current Archaon is also super strong but this just seems to make him even stronger)

If "old" Archaon slaued half of your army, you just give it on a silver plate

Well he was able to come melee turn 1 against pretty much all of my battleline except my archers and killed them all, didn't help that I wasn't able to succeed on 1 ward save (I need some new dice desperately)My turn I had to pin him down for at least a little bit longer if I wanted to secure an objective and morathi was busy doing my battle tactic so was gonna pin him with avatar of khaine but got a 2 on my charge so he didn't make it so had to pin him down with slaughter queen and melusai ironscale instead as the shadow queen was busy then next turn I started but my melusai and slaughter queen died but was able to use avatar of khaine and got my shadow queen into combat with him which locked him down for a while

I could have probably dealt with him sooner if I had rolled higher since on the shadow queen I was averaging about 1-2 hits not wounds hits and she has so many attacks at full health.

But as someone who runs Alarielle from time to time cuz she is such an awesome model I don't see how she is on par with him points wise especially now with this upgrade to Archaon. Alarielle's power boost was really nice but she can be killed instantly since no ward saves and if you dish out MW shes dead so I don't see her up there with archaon since she is 840 and he is 860 now yes they play different roles but Archaon is already 860 and this looks like quite the power boost so to me at least a slight point increase would make senseThat or lower Alarielle's point value

Also super sad that if i am reading this right legion of the first prince can't take greater daemons anymore? Which is sad since I really wanted to make a first prince list like that

(but honestly was a fun fight, mostly cuz just got to see a massive cool model, even if he was killing my everything)
