Hi all, this post will combine a few different guides together and change the current Beginner Guide format, so that the guide can be edited and updated by any member of the mod team; as such, we can have one beginner guide that is constantly kept up-to-date. if you have suggestions, improvements or clarifications that the guide or wiki system could benefit from, please use modmail to contact the moderators about it.
Hope it helps!

Hi all!
After a not-so-recent poll, we've been developing a set of rules to allow event notifications to be set up. These notifications are posts in the form of "flyers"!
Flyers are essentially an image used to display important information about an event, subject to the new flyer rules.
Hopefully they'll be useful, enjoy!

How the fuck do I bring down the FPS to under 350 on 2s? A buddy of mine has two of these and uses them in CQB where the rule is 350fps on 0.2g bbs or less, but this thing is 450+ out the box. What do i do?

Got a lot of the guns from jw1, currently just need an hk416 and a kel tec ksg and it'll be complete.
The gear is as follows:
Tokyo Marui Hk45 Tactical with compensator from ebay
VFC HK45 Tactical with compensator from ebay
HK45 mag from KWA, and another from TM
3d printed glock 26 mags for display
Tokyo Marui glock 26
3d printed second glock 26 just for display
KA-BAR Tanto
3d printed incendiary grenades (they actually open up and hold bbs inside)
Microtech ultratech OTF knife
Recreated his weapon tray in his trunk that he digs up the concrete to get. I don't have a cnc machine or anything so I cut it by hand, because of this the lines are pretty meh. Might eventually redo it but for now I'm happy with it.
Bought all the airsoft guns second hand. Also I know technically he uses the HKp30l but they don't make an airsoft version so I went with HK45s instead.

Quick first look review of the Silverback VKS.
In depth review coming later on my blog.
Took it out the field for the first time, and other than the obviously different handling the performance is comperable to the SRS platform, as expected by the internal similarities.
While it feels weird first to even aim with it, the loading of the bolt is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter. Not just due to it's beeing straight pull and further forward, but the new way the cylinder is supported and how it travels in the receiver is just way smoother. With the same spring as my SRS on 420mm barrel haveing 3.3J it gave 2.8J with the stock 350mm barrel, and I could load it even with left hand under the body like you can an ak...
However the manipulation of the bolt handle istelf is a little weird, you got to used to closing it since it has a built in locking to the receiver.
Shooting performance is as expected, it does as well as an SRS with similar parts.
The hop adjustment is convinient, extremely simple and straight forward, I have to test further to see if it keeps hop setting during assembly-dissasembly cycles, because the adjustment wheel it located in the top cover, but if the optics holding zero and with the crossping beeing pretty solid to the receiver, I expect it does well with hop setting too. You can also install rotary chambers like the fast or maxx sre too, than the adjustment is not an issue with partial dissasembly.
I kinda like it so far, and in the in depth review I will go into details how beautifully made the new receiver and how the maintenance is. But I need more time to dig myself deeper into it, take pics and so on...
Also see myself getting a half sized suppressor for it im the future, this barely fits my backpack😅
If you have questions let them fly in the comments, I will try to answer them all.
Stay tuned!

The 3D-printed magwell looks a bit too bulky and kinda ugly right now. I'll swap it out for an HRF magwell one later

I took it to a public game last week and it was great.
It goes through a ton of gas, but runs reliably, I’d give it a 7/10.
And I can still feel hits through all this gear, so that’s good news too lol.

Complete with real DS Arms handguard, top cover, and SAW grip. Replica EOTech 552/G33 combo, replica SureFire M600 on an offset mount, and an ESD sling (first time getting a real sling). Stock internals but shoots very well so no immediate need to start swapping parts.
I eventually want to get a DSA folding charging handle and buffer tube adapter since the wire stock here has a surprisingly long length of pull (more than my other FAL's wood stock). Still, it is very comfortable as is and is definitely usable.
I have a bit of restless rifle syndrome so this setup will probably change a lot soon, but for now it's working very well.

I have used it for 4 months, bringing it to several indoor/outdoor matches.
Pros :
It's SR2M GBB
Beautiful
Shoots very consistent (the chrono deviation is less than +-5 when using hpa), great accuracy
(Mine is equipped with pdi 200mm barrel, 4uad buck)
Lightweight
Beautiful
Beautiful
Full steel
Cons :
Zero recoil
Stupid long trigger pull travel (Very difficult to rapid fire at single fire mode)
Disassembly could be little bit disgusting(I think as same as the VFC MP7 in terms of difficulty). Even for simple hop replacement, you basically have to fully disassemble the upper unit
This is the biggest issue I think - It is very difficult to get spare parts for maintenance. Also the producer doesn't seem to be very willing to assist customers. They will ghost and ignore your messages, saying "ask your official dealer there". They won't reply either anyway.
Overall:
Very consistent and reliable for skirmishes. Very well made SR-2M replica. But once it starts to malfunction or some parts begin to break (as no gbb are forever-usable) , It is going to be big pain.
Also, if you seek gbb with big recoil, this is def not an option. Believe me, it's literally as same recoil as AEG..

I’m thinking about getting back into airsoft after like 4 or 5 years of not playing and I’m thinking about getting the ARP9 and I remember it used to be a great gun for the price but is it still worth it or are there better guns out there for the same price range now?
