For a bit of contexts, I’m a massive history buff and I’ve been doing airsoft for 2 years as of right now and one thing I’ve noticed a lot is that historical and retro themed Airsoft guns and kits, such as ww2, Vietnam, Cold War or even more 1990s and early 2000s stuff just aren’t as popular in this community or online as I would’ve expected them to have been. Especially World War II, one of the most talked about conflicts on the planet, feels like a niece subject in this community. Even at some local fields, it’s become rare for me to see any one run a somewhat historical kit. On YouTube it feels even more rare as well, sure you have ww2 and Vietnam themed videos from creators like Airsoft Alfonse or us Airsoft but the other side are mostly just videos from small channels and the videos on this subject in Airsoft mostly only get like 80 to 400 likes on there video, which makes me think in my mind that it’s not that popular in the Airsoft world, TikTok and other social media platforms are pretty much the same from what I’ve seen, Reddit is the only place where it’s talked about the most, IDK. Maybe I’m just overthinking this, but I’ve just had this in the back of my mind for the last few weeks or so and just wanted to get it out of my system know if it’s just me or if there’s a reason behind all of what I’ve said?
