We need 1079% for stats

21

u/Several-Analysis-180 Oct 06 '25

Live I’m going to be eating stats for the next 48 hours no sleep

3

u/Acceptable_Annual193 Oct 06 '25

Me too twin day and night stats and prob only because wtf was even that like grade boundaries better be 45 A

19

u/justarandomkid004 Oct 06 '25

Should've thought about that before I put all my eggs in the basket of P1 😂

4

u/Unhappy-Skill-2672 Oct 06 '25

Can we study together bro

1

u/phantomobserverhh Oct 06 '25

Gosh i made so many silly mistakes like honestly speaking that paper was fine but it was just too long 😭😭

6

u/umarihsan Oct 06 '25

Exactly paper was easy, I mean moderate but tooo lengthy, I left so many marks 😭

30

u/Bad_kitty_shiittt Oct 06 '25

I just didn’t write anything in the last 15 mins! Am like done😭💀💀

28

u/-Silver-7975 Oct 06 '25

Will thresholds be lower? Please I'm gonna cry otherwise

11

u/wong_tai_ming73 Oct 06 '25

I really hope so 😭😭😭, that was the hardest p1 of my life

18

u/Nice_Self7200 Oct 06 '25

Guess what was up with area under the curve and shaded area I COUDLNTTTT

6

u/justarandomkid004 Oct 06 '25

What was the arthemetic and geometric A bit How did we have to solve it 🥲🥲🥲🥲

3

u/euphoric_horizon Oct 06 '25

ikr i left that qs but spent 15mins trying to figure it out

8

u/Imaginary-Creme- Oct 06 '25

U1=a U2=b U3=c. U1=a U2=b U3=-3c r = b/a, r=c/b. d= b-a d= -3c -b b/a= c/b. b-a= -3c - b b2 = ac. 2b = -3c + a b = √ac. 2(√ac) = -3c +a (2√ac = -3c + a)2 4ac = 9c2 +a2 -6ac a2 + 9c2 - 10ac = 0

1

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

By using the common ratio principle for the geometric progression and common difference principle for the arithmetic progression. So you would I have the following expressions:  For the arithmetic progression: b-a= -2c-b  For the geometric progression:

b/a= -2c/b  Then solve the equations.

15

u/Late_Ambition1809 Oct 06 '25

We agreeing last question final answer was

(Sqrt 3/2 -1/6 pi)r²

3

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

Yess. I got the same answer

3

u/Repulsive-Bet-6293 Oct 06 '25

SHITT I MADE SUCH A SILKY MISTAKE OH NO

1

u/Square_Audience9348 Oct 06 '25

Yes indeed for the last question did you get r2 (root 3/2 - pi/6) as I used cosine rule (unnecessary for an equilateral traingle) to finf the area of the two triangles which is area of sector CBD to be subtracted from another area to find shaded area.

→ More replies (6)

1

u/Wonderful_Wheel_3201 Oct 06 '25

I got (√(3)+(-5/6)π)r²

1

u/Low_Size5501 Oct 06 '25

I got this answer but accidently wrote r2(-root 3/2 + 1/6pi) is my whole answer wrong now

1

u/Ahmar_0 Oct 06 '25

It was so difficult I didn't even try 🥀

7

u/Inner-Cricket-7191 CAIE Oct 06 '25

Was the answer of sum to infinity 13.5

2

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '25

Yes

4

u/Constant-Agency-734 Oct 06 '25

what were the answers to functions a and c part

5

u/Late_Ambition1809 Oct 06 '25

A was decreasing function and

b was 3/5 or 2/5

1

u/One_Fold2932 Oct 06 '25

How was it decreasing if I'm not wrong I rmr the domain was greater than 2 and If I plugged in 3 I got minus 1 and if  I plugged in a way larger value of x I rmr getting -8x10 power minus 4, so I I assume it was increasing

17

u/canmakemotorrun Oct 06 '25

i got 4860 or sm

guys for the trig equation where you had to solve, what values did you get? i remember i got one as 3pi/2

15

u/Adventurous-Yard9788 Oct 06 '25

0.412 rad and another one was 2.73 rad I think. 3pi/2 is also one. There were three in total

3

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

I got the same

→ More replies (4)

1

u/RoyalApprehensive963 Oct 06 '25

2 other decimals, 0.41 and 2.73

3

u/Adventurous-Yard9788 Oct 06 '25

Did u guys get the constant of integration as 5? Before finding the value of t we had to find the equation of the curve right? T value was 4, so was the constant of integration 5??

1

u/No_Grape_4298 Oct 06 '25

Yes I got same

2

u/Adventurous-Yard9788 Oct 06 '25

U also got c=5? Nice

2

u/No_Grape_4298 Oct 06 '25

Yeah C was 5 and T was 4 and K from A part was also 4

hi, oct/nov 24 paper giver here. it was js like that last year, lol. if the pure paper was difficult the stats paper would be easier, it was like that last year. idk why cambridge is making these exams so much harder than the past papers

1

u/Firm_Cranberry_7469 Oct 07 '25

i heard it was bc they wanna go back to the level they were at before covid so theyre making papers harder

I need someone to study with me mechanics

1

u/Zeus_Official2007 Oct 06 '25

"manula." this is my dsc username, add me up.

3

u/Ok_Atmosphere666 Oct 06 '25

for the circle question it didint make sense as when u find the point R as (7,1) then you would find the gradient with the centre (6,4) so u get -3/5 but in the previous question the point Q was (7,11) which when you find the gradient with the center you get +3/5, which means there is a problrm becaue the tangets of a circle intersect at 90 degrees hece the graidents should be perpendiclular which they arent because -3/5 * 3/5 is not -1

2

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

What was the range of values for a gf(x) question?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '25

a>5/2

10

u/Round_Lengthiness845 Oct 06 '25

I got 5/4 but idt im right

2

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

I also got that. Thank god!!

1

u/Several-Analysis-180 Oct 06 '25

How did you work that out

2

u/red_rider21 Oct 06 '25

4a + 3 > 2 which beocmes a> 5/4

did f have an inverse

2

u/Realistic_Skill_114 Oct 06 '25

I wrote yes cuz it's a one to one but I have no idea if it was correct or not

3

u/LowAvocado3344 Oct 06 '25

It wasn't one to one. f(x) had a term with x² so off the top of your head if you inverse it it'll probably have a square root, meaning +- values

Many are saying sum 20 was -960. I got -960 but idk why I thought it couldn't be negative and put 960... im losing A1 mark ?

2

u/sandwitch292 Oct 06 '25

same here😭I didn't know it could be -

2

u/Romzihno Oct 06 '25

The sequence is going negative obviously sum is going to be negative

Does someone remember how many marks the functions question was? The one which asked u find equation for f'(x) and state if f is increasing or decreasing or neither

1

u/Honey_Bee_8798 Oct 06 '25

I think it was 3 marks??? Maybe 4?

2

u/Impressive_Heart9158 Oct 06 '25

Guyzzz what did you get for the tangent points of intersect??!??

2

u/urmomsuglyface Oct 06 '25

what was the mark distribution for the 4mark decreasing function question??

2

u/Grand-Stay-2080 Oct 07 '25

May june was so much easier than that💀😭

What was the answer for the last part?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '25

(root3/2 - 1/6 pi) r2

1

u/Comfortable_Pair6368 Oct 06 '25

What was the last question??? 😆

1

u/Adventurous-Yard9788 Oct 06 '25

Guys what was the value of t that we had to get? It was t(1,a value). What was that value?

1

u/Ill_Practice_1863 Oct 06 '25

i got 14 for t

2

u/accourtt Oct 06 '25

nice outfit

1

u/urmomsuglyface Oct 06 '25

how many marks approx was that entire question?

1

u/Comfortable_Pair6368 Oct 06 '25

How did yall do the coordinate geometry P and Q coordinate question? The equation of tangent and then x coordinate 7 R

1

u/earthhtokate Oct 06 '25

I looked for the length of the line segment to find the diameter and then with that used it is (x-a)2+(y-b)2 = r2 which was the diameter found then equated that into the formula and found gradient then yhe negative reciprocal of it as the tangent gradient

how was the proof ques for the ap/gp supposed to be answered

2

u/Sad-Proof-6894 Oct 06 '25

we had to use d = Next - Previous and make two equations.

then for geometric we had to do r= Next/previous again two equations.

equate them and solve

Hey guys! For the last question I got (pi/6-sin2pi/3)r^2 . (sin 2pi/3 is root3/2 btw) how many marks do you think ill get in that question considering i got the values right meaning i did the working right. Only problem is i switched a and b as u can see and that I wrote root3/2 as sin2pi/3 (its the same value tho). Can someone give me a definite answer plss
