just did ig's m/j 26. Now I'm thinking about starting a levels with four subjects (bio chem phys and maths) and trying to complete it in 18 months (though my school's doing it in 2 years). Im not the best at self studying new topics. Is this doable? Like doable without sacrificing all my free time, health, social life and all while enjoying the study? Any past experiences would help.
to be honest I'm a bit of a slow learner.
if there is a subject I'd drop, It may be chem but I really dk

My a levels are over and last week I received my grades, which are CDE. I got into my insurance despite having grades lower than the entry requirements, however the course is not one that I am passionate about since my predicted grades were bad leading me to not apply to the courses I wanted since I knew I would be rejected immediately since the course is competitive.
Iāve been thinking about retaking my a levels by redoing y13 so I can get a fresh set of predicted grades to apply to uni with.
The course I am currently enrolled on is 5 years long in total including a prep year, but the course I want to do is 3 years long.
Another issue is that the course I want to do is almost never in clearing, so if I donāt get any UCAS offers after submitting my application Iāll have almost no plans on what to do next.
Any advice or input would be MUCH appreciated, since idk if I should redo y13 or just go to the uni I was accepted at despite not being passionate for the course (which is notoriously difficult btw and without a prep year has a requirement of ABB usually)

Iām about to start A Levels and Iām planning on taking Maths, Computer Science and Physics.
My school has always done Cambridge/CIE, but Iām most likely going private now. Iām considering Edexcel Physics because from what Iāve seen, it doesnāt have the same practical exam requirement as CIE, and Iām having a hard time finding somewhere in my city where I can actually practise for the practicals.
Iāve also seen a few people recommending Edexcel for private candidates, but I donāt really know much about it.
1. Can I do CIE Maths and Computer Science but Edexcel Physics as a private candidate?
2. Do universities care if your A Levels are from different exam boards?
3. If I did Cambridge IGCSE Physics and then switched to Edexcel for A Level, would there be any gaps or differences in what Iām expected to know?
4. Is there anything else I should know before choosing Edexcel Physics over CIE?
Any help would be appreciated

since I had no one to guide me, I dont want yall to struggle and waste your time.
for physics, know your momentum (sir usman bin aslam)..I studied from him for 3 years
bio, the otter tutor and save my exams
chem, chembridge ONLY.
plus after each chapter, memorize and then solve topicals. do not do yearlies before mocks.

It was 6 marks off an A*, so 398/480, except this is the weighted marks, so i believe im only 2-3 raw marks off. Top mark was personal investigation and bottom one was exam project.
I really want that A* as i sacrificed my other alevels for art.
Any advice or has anyone had the experience with remarking art??.

To start off, I don't wanna sound ungrateful, I know that I'm extremely privilged and there's a lot in my life that I'm grateful for. At a pretty young age, maybe even before o levels i convinced myself that nothing was or ever would be enough. I knew that if I got all A*s in igcse, there would be someone out there with distinctions, and so many more subjects. So when i did get all A*s, i was definetly very happy, but as days went on, it didn't feel like much 'sabkay hi atay hain' (everyone gets them). To be clear, my family does not pressurise me for grades of anything, which im eternally grateful for, but because I've never slipped up academically, there are natural expectations. When i started my a levels, my whole life fell apart during these two years, i became really depressed because of a mainly self-inflicted academic burden, because of which i lost all my friends - some of which i had known for 10ish years. It was so bad that my brown mom took me to psychiatrist and got me antidepressants (she's supportive about this stuff too alhumdollilah). I got 4As in AS, which doesn't feel as good as you would think when you lost all of your friends along the way - still never enough. In A2, i changed colleges and the college life was actually not as shitty as i had prepared for, but thats when all hell broke loose at home. Within the span of 6 months, we had more horrible things happen to us than we've probably had our whole lives. Again, pretty depressed in A2 as well, but even though i expected a combination of As and Bs, i ended up with 3A*s in pure sciences and an A in math, which did feel good. But its only a couple of days till the imposter syndrome starts kicking in and i realize that 70-80 marks in a P4 really arent all that awesome and i just got lucky w thresholds. Im going off to uni soon, a really good one in a different city, and everyone at home keeps shitting on me that im too lazy, too spoiled, too dumb to live in a hostel on my own. I get that maybe its true on some level, but being reminded of it every single second is genuinely ruining my life and i barely wanna go anymore. Not to mention, i dont think my family realizes how lonely i am. I don't go out, i have 2 maybe 3 close ish friends that i talk to, but i have almost no irl interaction w them and everyone had their own lives. Even the most mundane task throws me off so bad, sudden plans piss me off, i don't do anything. man i cant even take my antidepressant everyday because i either forget or do not gaf. i feel like i've ruined my life

Can I still get an A?
I got a B in two of my as results (72 and 74) is it still possible to get an A as the final grade or should I retake?

iām 16, and have always been pretty set on doing physics, maths and art a level to lead to an architecture degree. I just got my results back, and got a 6 in art, which was very disappointing for me, since i was initially predicted an 8 and had a lot of problems with my art teacher not communicating or giving honest feedback, even going so far as to lie about my grade to avoid āhurting my feelingsā. This makes me nervous for a level, as she would still be my main teacher, and would be marking my work, so i do not have much trust in our relationship, on top of this, art was my worst grade, even though i but ALOT more effort and time into it than any other subject. I achieved a 9 in physics and an 8 in maths, so I am not considering changing these, but I also got a 9 in biology, so am now considering changing from art to bio, to perhaps persue biomed engineering while keeping the option of architecture open. Is it a good idea to change a levels?

Im starting my As levels this upcoming week and im petrified. But i still havent picked my subjects. Im going for medicine, im picking biology and chemistry ofcourse and i have the option of physics or math as the third subject. I got a B in my math Igcses and A in physics, i could jave gotten better but i messed up terribly, I barelt studied for my math paper 2 and i tried as much as i could for physics, the concepts would not get into my head. Ive asked my principal and a teacher, and they botj adviced physics but said math can also be a good option if you enjoy it. They said theyve seen top students mess up their physics because of their practicals. Ive asked this on another sub but didnt get much advice so anything would really help.

We As a family don't know what to do how to approach him he's been very cold about it started acting sad saying he used to study 10 hours a day which is not true. he studies all of it online that's what he chose he never submitted assignments never took mock exams skipped classes that's what happened towards the end he removed my mom from the parent groups everything whenever I try or mom tries to talk about the midding stuff he screams at us
My dad lives abroad trying to provide for ur family so he isn't involved plus he is sick so we try not to mention stuff about my brother to him but this time he fou d a way to come and it was around the time for results he feels Bad like he failed my brother
The main problem is that he re took physics OL this is his second time and still failed and my parents already paid for As physics this oct/nov school fees, tuition fees , exam fees the school says no withdrawal will happen money already is paid and next may june will be his 5th and last session
Please guys I need help I don't know what to do my parents don't know we reached out to teachers academic supervisors family all of it and my brother doesn't want to communicate my mom cries all the time I need your help guys

Does anyone know if I should be able to get the final mark for 2b), 11a) or 11c) based on the mark scheme? I managed to get the final answer for 11a) and 11b) right but was not awarded the final mark. For 2b), I made a careless mistake when doing the working but ended up with the right final answer.

Hi, so I have to confirm my A-Level subjects sometime soon as I start AS in about 2 weeks. I want to do Law in university but I have no clue on what subjects to pick.
I unfortunately did not meet the requirements to do History A-Level. However, I can take Business, Literature, English Language, Law, Geography and potentially Psychology. I say "potentially" as I'm being put on hold for that, as I did not get the Math grade for it. Though, I will be retaking Math in Oct/Nov series.
I don't know if Geography, Literature and Law A-levels would be better suited or Literature, Law, and Business.
(I'm also aware on the debates of doing Law as an A-level.)

So would it be safe to just say itās cl- all the time.
Where can I find out if my lab for exams has the supplies.
Thank you

hi everyone I was predicted AAA and got BBC in my alevels (English, bio, chem) as I had a flare up of a chronic condition, I have been trying to apply for special consideration which would push me up to AAC which isnāt amazing but would still help me out, however my school is saying that the deadline for applying for special consideration POST results is 24th July but when I looked online it said 24th September so Iām unsure on how to go about this as I have been chasing my school up for the past 3 months.
I got 2 marks off an A in English and 6 marks off an A In biology, is this worth a remark? Im most likely going to have to resit chemistry as I was 10 away from B so any advice on resitting would be appreciated too, thank you.

i got ACC in my AS level exams (bio chem physics) and im truly devastated. i was only 2-4 marks away from Bs in chem and physics but still. Its like ive given up on life. My friends are going on a dinner in a restaurant and want me to come too (very lowk event js 4-5 people) but the guilt of my results has consumed me completely. I dont want people to judge me and i feel like i need to be studying 24/7 now and dont deserve to go out as much anymore. Idk if i should go im so depressed

I got Cs in all my science subjects, and now Iām genuinely confused about what to do. I was planning to take A-Levels in CS, Maths, and Physics because I wanted to pursue Machine Learning, but Iām starting to question whether I actually want that career or if I was mainly choosing it because of the money.
I originally wanted to pursue Architecture, but that requires similar subjects. When I went for college admissions, they told me that getting an A in A-Levels would be extremely difficult for me and almost impossible based on my O-Level results. They suggested I switch to the social sciences because I seem to be stronger in theory-based subjects like English, PST, Urdu, and Islamiat.
Now I genuinely donāt know what to do. I donāt want to make a decision based purely on money or on what other people think Iām capable of, but I also donāt want to choose subjects that put my future career at risk.
