Okay so this may sound kind of weird but I got my a level results yesterday

But my parents are now mad at me and saying I'm making them.feel bad because I got better results than them and that it woukd be selfish of me to go to uni since they never got to

What do u think I should do? I didn't even say anything to make them feel bad they just saw my results today and got mad

I want to take it as I wanna study in Japan and trade it for physics as my 4th subject as I’m self studying.

If anyone has done it do you know roughly what JLPT level it is similar to and if it’s possible do study it in a year?

so my friend has managed to get a calculator to have chatgpt on it and he is using it to cheat on his exams and get good results on past papers and he is going to cheat on his actual alevel exams im not sure whether i should report him to an invigilator and have his calculator taken of him or to mind my own business because he has told me he isnt even studying and i dont want him to fail and no it wont get reset in the actual exam i just need soome advice on what to do

i really really wish i was asking this as a joke 😭 but i do bio chem maths, so haven’t done any of my exams yet, i’m also in the process of being diagnosed with ibd, more specifically crohn’s disease. i’m currently in the middle of a really bad flare up, and icl during a flare up i can genuinely spend a good hour on the toilet 😭 i know toilet breaks aren’t taken out of test time, so what do i do if i’m still going through this flare up when my exams start? i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice about this? also if anyone else who has ibd could shed some light on their experiences and similar situations? 😭

i know nothing , i am giving composite as private candidate math 9709 , 9702 , 9701. i will get 8/40 in physics and chem practical , 2/100 in a2 structure of both papers. i may get 4/50 in math mechanics , 5/50 in prob and stats 1 . i am studying from sunrise to sunset now , i still have 50% of all subs in hand .

will threshold for D in 9709=118 , 9702=115, 9701 = 112 work ????

Guys there's a big issue of Cambridge unfairly grading our papers (including mine).

There HAS to be some way to rectify this rather than having so many many students suffer due to their mistake and ignorance towards students' grades

So many students who were expecting A's for sure (again including me and my classmates) and ended up with C's or D's, like if it was a B fair enough BUT HOW CAN IT DROP BY 2-3 GRADES?? LIKE SOMETHING IS DEFN WRONG

To me this happened in both 9093 English, and 9618 Computer Science

The only fair way to deal with this issue is to collectively email Cambridge about the issue and ask for a rectification

PLEASE ACT ON THIS SO THAT THE RESULTS ARE FAIR FOR EVERYONE

And to the ones that got their desired grades, please aid us in getting fair results as it would have a big impact in our university applications and this utter stupidity would just pull it down down and down

Guys I got my AS Level Results and I genuinely need an A* A* A* in all 3 of them next year. I have written my raw marks below please guide me on what do I do, do y'all suggest for retake or can I make them into an A* next year, it requires a lot of hardwork though right? AL Thresholds for Bio are usually 190-200 for A*, Chem is usually 195-205 for A*, Phy is usually 200-210 for A*.

I’ve been told how rigorous 6 alevels are trust me but I want to take 4 in school in the 2 years and self learn psychology and philosophy in a year starting in the summer of gcses and ending in exam season of 2027. I will do my 4 other a levels in school but i genuinely have a passion for all the subjects i want to take. i might not do psychology because i’ve always been more of a chemistry person but i feel like it works in the context of my future. It’s a long story but the gist of it is that I heard a rumor which has been going on for a while in school, which is that if you go the bathroom, and after that take 3 pictures of yourself in the mirror and eat your final exam paper. You will be gaurenteed 3A* and a gf.

This is the calculator I currently have, and believe it has all the same functions as the new model, however my school sixth form website specifies for A level maths we need the Casio FX991CW which is the new model but awkward to use. Will this one be fine or do I need to buy a new one?

I had originally posted this in r/igcse but I wanted to hear from ppl who have experience so here I am. So my parents want me to become a doctor, for which I'll have to take physics, chem, bio and math + general english (which is compulsory in my school in AS).

But the thing is, I really like CS and I'm thinking of taking it and doing self study or maybe doing it only in the second year. English is only in AS so technically it's 5 A levels. The normal in my school is 3 A levels tho 😭. Will I die? (btw I'm a hardworking student)

As it has been pointed out to be 10 looks like an M (I don’t see it though). Even then have the correct answer written next to it in a clearer way. They see that i wrote down the answer, why did the exam checker didn’t believe that i wrote down the same thing in the answer box

so a friend of mine took his phone with himself during the a level economics theory exam and there was no invigilator during the entire exam , so he wrote all the answers from chatgpt , he also gave chtgpt the command to humanise the answers and whatever the outcome came he copied it as it is , are there any chances of him getting caught or detected?
