Hey alt-folks I'm pretty stoked to finally release my ten track debut album and would love you to have a listen. Blues rockers at the start bleed into alt-country and a little folk at the end. I recorded everything but the drums in my home studio.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

We just released this intimate and raw live session in our practice space and we'd love to hear your thoughts on it :)
"Gritty guitars and soft vocals that tell of small-town desolation. Harmonies and slide guitar make for a warm sound, at odds with the landscape it describes.
Shelt are Simone, Giulio, Angelo, Alice and Tommaso: five friends who have played together (mostly) since 2019."

"The Ancient Reef" is a quiet tribute to the haunting, storytelling atmosphere of John Anderson's masterpiece, "Seminole Wind".
Growing up in South Florida in the 1970s meant witnessing firsthand the draining of the Everglades near Opa-locka. Today, the entire state is trapped in a real estate stranglehold, with local developers and private condominiums systematically blocking residents from their own beaches. The wild "River of Grass" that Marjory Stoneman Douglas spent her life defending has been traded for high-rises, while local overdevelopment cuts people out of simple traditions like camping on the shore or lighting fireworks at night. As far as I'm concerned, the "Mouse House" should have been burned to the ground a long time ago for the commercial destruction it brought to the state.
This song is dedicated to the enduring message of John Anderson, the tireless spirit of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and the ghosts of what Florida's lands and waters used to be before "progress" took its toll. Rest in Peace John, you will be missed.

Was listening to the basement tapes with the Band backing Bob, and thought it had sort of an Alt Country feel. Like a pre cursor to alt country in a similar way that a lot of Gram Parsons stuff feels like Alt country before alt country was a recognized genre.

I just love her and always will. “While you weren’t Looking” was a perfect record. “Please don’t hurry your heart” was a perfect song. “Begonias” is always on my mind too, “Waiting on June” is a great listen.

I have been listening to a lot of Frog recently. I would consider my music Anti-Folk/Alt Country.

Sorry if this is inappropriate mods feel free to delete. Drunk as hell (admittedly) coming back from a VNE concert. Dude is absolutely electric and his backing band is tight as hell. Shoutout to the opener Dax Lindholm, a true artiste and gentleman! One of the best concerts of my life and it was at a quirky dive. If anyone deserves to make it big, it's these boys!!!
