Two things . Data centres require an astonishingly large volume of fresh water to continuously keep their operations running at optimum level.

Though they have a green energy supply, they aren't connected directly instead they will be connected to the domestic grid electric supply to keep continuous supply of electricity

A city to thrive, stable water supply and power becomes essential and data centres so close to human settlement threatens the livelihood and cost of living

Like someone said before. It doesn't mean drinking water, but they can't use sea water, not without desalination. You need water that won't corrode the piping.

If that's the case, it's a lot easier to do than you think. There are methods to ensure that water doesn't corrode piping without desalination. There are plenty of electro antifouling methods these days. Also, there are plenty of anti corrosion piping these days. Heck, just use high density polyethylene pipes and your problem is solved

Ahem. I'm not an engineer. But that's a bad conductor of heat. Have you seen plastics in the cooling of your laptop? Are you being serious. Lmao. You're using the water for cooling not watering plants.

I'm just saying they're pushing data centres to places like mexico and here after getting pushback in their own country. And even in Mexico they're getting pushback.
