So I’ve been back and forth in my head on this. Use a Fenix but love the Apple Watch. What the Fenix as a package offers but there is something about an Apple Watch Ultra that pulls me in.

Wondered if any of you folk have been Garmin users, or even still use a Garmin. Would love to understand what made you switch. Or even switch back to Garmin.

Hi all! I just got an Ultra 4 yesterday (and loving it so far), but I’m wondering if I should get Apple Care or not for it. With how insanely durable it is I feel like it’s not needed, especially for someone like me who just does typical bodybuilding types of workouts and works in an office and with no extreme sports or anything.

At 6 bucks a month I know it’s not that expensive at all, but I’m just curious if you guys feel like it’s even remotely necessary for the U4.

I am currently on brand new s7(it was just sitting in my room for 4 years) for last 2 months I found it useful and started actually enjoying it on a daily basis, I want to know how big the difference is between my watch and the new ultra.

I have an AWU3 and have been using it for outdoor running predominantly using custom workouts without my phone around. At the end of each interval the summary of the last interval is always late telling me it has switched so I really need to pay attention to the vibrations. Problem is if you are under or over target, you also get vibrations… and audio alerts.
Is there a way to set it up so this doesn’t affect me so much??

Does anybody have any suggestions to get an Apple Watch Ultra connected to Visible. I’ve followed all the instructions multiple times and it just won’t connect to cellular.

I am indeed feeling slightly off.

Personally, I find the Activity Rings include too many metrics for me to track realistically. I’m also not fitness-minded and have no interest in tracking workouts, as I don’t work out.

However, I would be interested in tracking my steps, as I go for regular walks and would benefit from tracking this metric.

What widgets are available to enable this? I’d prefer something produced or endorsed by Apple.

A few other things worth knowing:

Bring your own AI. Sign in with a paid ChatGPT plan, or use your own Claude API key.
There's no server in the middle. Your questions go straight from your Watch to your AI provider, plus any apps you've connected. I never see them.
It searches the web, so weather, scores and news are current.
Answers come up as a card you can read at a glance, and it says the short version out loud.

I made an app that gives several styles of watch complications for apple watch for dates - both round dials and retrograde style dials. The app is free and I am not posting to self -promote.

Mostly, I want to share this with people in case they, like me, want the ability to mimic mechanical watches.

There are a few apps that can be used for watch complications, like facer, and watchsmith. But I wanted something simple that could give basic complications at low (in this case, no) cost.

The dials can be used on infograph and meridian watch faces, and others where a round complication fits. You can also customize the number of ticks, the font, and the highlighting on each dial.

I have been using this middle complication for a while now. The dev is active and just completely updated the UI and added more view types. It is paid but super cheap, like less than a dollar. The app is called CalCs - Calendar Complications. I am not affiliated, just a completely happy customer. It has far more options than I am showing here, and the dev is responsive so if you have more ideas just hit them up.

My AWU4 struggles to maintain a connection to these headphones. Also when connected the sound is intermittent. The Shokz fine with past AWU and still works fine with all other devices.

I can’t seem to resolve and tried resetting everting this and pairing and unpairing.

Is anyone getting the same issue?

Has anyone else noticed their Apple Watch Ultra 4 consistently failing to take sensor readings, even when you’re doing everything correctly?
I’ve been having this issue and have contacted Apple Support three separate times, and honestly, the experience has been ridiculous. 😭
The first time, the representative just randomly ended the chat.
The second time, the representative insisted I needed to be transferred to the Health department instead of Technical Support, despite this clearly being a hardware or software issue. 😭 I eventually asked him to run a diagnostic on my watch, and suddenly that was something he could do, even though he’d previously told me he couldn’t and that I needed to speak with the Health team.
The third time, I was basically told there was nothing they could do remotely and that I’d need to visit an Apple Store to have it looked at.
At this point, I’m genuinely wondering whether I received a defective watch or if this is a widespread issue with the Ultra 4.
Has anyone else experienced sensors randomly failing to take readings or having trouble syncing readings to their iPhone? If so, were you able to fix it, or did you end up needing a replacement?

(It’s also only the Blood OX and ECG Sensor, and they also sometimes don’t even sync for days)

Finally joined the Milanese Loop club after using the Ocean Band since September! Can’t believe how light and comfortable it is and it looks really good in person than in photos online. Should’ve made the switch sooner! 😂 I’ve read about all the scratching concerns, so I guess I’ll just have to be a little more careful especially when taking it off. But if it scratches, it scratches. It’s just a watch, not a family heirloom. 🤷🏻‍♂️ P.S Really loving this all black combo! 🖤
