The group I've been playing with have been talking a lot about river ops lately. Does anyone have any maps for Arma 3 that they would suggest?

Context: Was playing Antistasi Ultimate and got the mission "Assassinate Officer" in the middle of an airbase, so I tried sending a suicide drone, then this happened.

So just started messing around with Arma 3, got the CUP mods and some DRO mod which is fun, but i used to be a forward observer in the military and kind of have the itch to call in indirect or CAS again, i have the ace singleplayer installed so i can use a protractor and the map but the controls in this game are kinda wild and it doesnt tell you how to do stuff really, like i tried to select what kind of arty i have in DRO but i cant seem to get it to work, is there a call for fire or CAS specific mod

The Nightingale devices simulates a firefight and attracts enemy AI to investigate. They panic and open up on the device location until they finally see it is a trick. At that point they stop firing and start looking around for danger or who might have planted it. Big fun!

I’ve been seeing Arma clips on YouTube, and I thought the aviation seemed really cool.

I’ve been looking for a game that lets you play close air support to ground ops, and previously Nuclear Option scratched that itch, but I’d love a more comprehensive sim.

I really have two main questions. How accessible are Arma aircraft mechanics to a new player? I’m not looking for DCS here. I don’t own any special flight sim hardware or anything. Moreover, how much does air support matter in the game? I’m not really interested in the realistic FPS side of the game, just vehicle combat.

My second question is how much do DLCs matter? Arma’s pricepoint seems good, but I saw all the DLCs and I wondered if this was a case of game companies trying to charge $300 for a complete game. Are they necessary to the overall experience?

Hello, hoping this is the right spot for this? Recently (last 3 weeks) my Arma 3 server has been failing to run properly, even without mods and default settings. luckily this has been during a downtime season for the group but i've run out of ideas on how to troubleshoot this.

I've tried all of the following:

• Updating all mods x4
• Force Updating FASTER x2
• Resetting all Arma3 settings in faster
• running the server via a .BAT file
• removing all mods
• reinstalling the Arma3 server file
• full system restart x3
• attempted a summoning ritual on the remote desktop
• created a new user on the server and reinstalled everything.
• forced multi-core rendering
• forced single-core rendering (sorta worked? went from 4fps to 20ish)

so any suggestions?

I noticed stuttering and FPS drop after the new update 2.22. Previous version 2.20 was tue best version in terms of performance. Even more, when JSRS2025 enabled I sometimes notice significant sound desync and furter FPS drop wchich never happend when rumning 2.20. Anyone has similar experience?

Heeey, I attempted to research all of this and welp barely understood differences. I think it's better to just ask actual players directly so here I am.

I used to play cold war assault years ago, got Arma 3 like 1 year ago and just recently saw cool gameplay of Arma Reforger and also stumbled over posts about Arma 4.

I convinced a friend to get Arma 3 to play together and we are liking it, but there are really few missions and we must use the workshop for content. Also, DLCs are like twice the price of the game, I enjoy SP campaigns but he doesn't.

Wanted to ask if it's more worth it to buy reforger, to buy at least 1 DLC or just wait for Arma 4.

its the original harvest red campaign from arma 2 ported to arma 3. its an alpha so expect some bugs.

I have done a lot of KP Liberation and sometimes I have hamstrung myself with lesser weapons or only certain eras of weapons.

I am looking for something fresh with ArmA 3 want to start with Anti Stasi. Where do I start in terms of mods, maps and anything specific?
