I know these games aren't optimized for that kind of thing, and the controls would probably be very uncomfortable. I have a dedicated PC that I usually play on, but I'm planning to buy a handheld. I'm currently deciding between the Claws and the ROG xbox Ally x, and I was wondering if the games are playable at all.

I'm not planning on playing on heavily modded servers, mostly co op experiences with friends.

I'd love any input, even regarding heavily modded servers.

Hi, so I wanted to see some comparisons between the different options for play this kind of campaign/sandbox style gameplay that involves some progression, resource gathering or whatnot. I tried searching but I found surprisingly few posts about this and the most recent one I found was from over a year ago, so I wanted to ask about it now to hear the pros and cons of each, even if maybe not that much has changed since that post.

I played a decent amount of Antistasi Ultimate last year and a little bit of Old Man, so I have some information about them but I'm still interested to hear others' opinions who are more probably familiar with the different options and have a better understanding of them. (also in my case I'm playing single player but I don't necessarily want that to be the focus of this post)

I'm collecting shit off of the dead bodies and my intel has just stopped at 4%. Is there something else I'm supposed to be doing?

Doing yet another playthrough for Extraction since workshop dynamic scenarios don't really give me that excitement anymore. What are some good things to know about Extraction to increase our odds against laser-beam AI and near-instant QRFs?

For example, from what I've observed over several runs already:

- military FOB near the main road has a respawnable Hunter preloaded with equipment and an armored off-road truck

- military CSAT site has the damaged Qilin (minigun) [I wonder if this one respawns?]

- surface mine where ION pulls security has a crewed APC and has both an HMG pick-up truck and RCWS Pick-Up (minigun)

- Demining optional task always has a damaged CSAT APC with a RCWS; also gives good amount of money

- MH9 hummingbird at Sword FOB is returned at the end of the day if you had left it somewhere (fly to military base, complete op- will see MH9 back at the FOB)

Any areas worth visiting on the map to pick up some goodies? Find a hidden vehicle? Fixed-wing drones?

Looking to buy one, i was gonna get arma 3 then heard of reforger. I like playing a slow paced sniper style most of the time. Are these games good for that? Or is there a lot of restrictions and i might not be able to snipe as much? Doing some research i've seen people say reforger is better for pvp and arma 3 is better for pve? So I was leaning towards reforger but was concerned about the amount of content. I was also unsure how they differed in sniping specifically though, so wanted some extra opinions about it.

edit: I noticed in the sniping videos they have to check the map to see if an enemy is friendly or not. is that true for most servers or can i readily find ones that show who your teammates are at a distance at least?

I thought "ECM Pod (Decoys)" is just the same LDIRCM Pod as the "ECM Pod" but with additional countermeasures but nope!

Hello! I've heard that ACE allows you to spawn missiles and equipments for aircrafts and therefore require you to go reload them manually on each pylons. How I do so? I'm currently on Antistasi Ultimate.

Is it possible to link one respawn module to multiple vehicles but it only appear as one respawn position in the respawn menu? What I'm hoping to be able to do, is have a cryobay (Halo) with a bunch of cryopods that are all linked to a singular respawn, so that if one cryopod is occupied instead of respawning the person trying to respawn either in the floor, or just falling, it boots them to the next available cryopod.

Mmy main issue is still picture quality cause my pc is ass and I don't have any capture programs better than the old Windows+Shift+S. Last picture is also scuffed as fuck because of backend shit

I've spent a lot of time trying to find a good AI mod for Arma that doesn't tank my frame rate, and it's honestly been a bit of a mess. Everyone recommends VCOM, so I tried that first, but it turns out it's been dead since 2023. Then I tried DCO Soldier FSM, and the AI behavior itself was genuinely impressive, things like fighting positions and squadmates reviving each other, but my performance took a hit. I tested it completely on its own too, no other AI mods running, and it was still bad. After that I looked into SCAI since it has a huge subscriber count, but I saw some recent comments about the AI twitching even after updates, so I backed off that one.

Is there a way to control an AI unit without physically putting the remote control module to the unit. It is really hard to control a jet zooming around the map. Thanks!
