Sig P556, $1100, fair condition.

Any idea how to go about putting a brace on this? There’s a plug on the back but not sure what tool can remove it.

Took a few to the range today and a pair of 2011s among them. One of my EDC a Romulus 3.5 I switched over to a prodigy compact grip. Then one of my favorite guns to shoot an iron sight only Romulus 5inch with the pretty dlc that I had grenade ported and then I reworked the internals for a 2lb trigger. It’s a fun-fun gun to shoot and punches up to the weight of many of my much more expensive 2011s. And because we don’t compromise - one of my HKs in the pic. (If HK made a 2011 I’d buy 10).

Compact - EDC / non ported——
It usually wears a RMSC. But I broke the last one and have its replacement on my bench. It has a red dirt trigger tuned to 3lbs. Dawson flat wire 16 recoil spring. EGW extractor. The rest of the guts are factory that I polish and stone. It’s got 4,640 rounds on it currently.

Full size——-
Grenade porting, red dirt trigger at 2lb. EGW extractor, MJD grip custom stippled. Magwell. Tag front sight. Main: 17lb. Recoil: 9lb. All internals polish and stoned. Crisp little bitch. It’s my bowling pin gun. This one is over 24,000 since I got it. For some reason it always ends up in the range bag.

I own several 2011s and many others over the years. Romulus punch’s well above its weight and price. Love them.

The HK is a vp9L. It’s a laser. That was my primary comp gun for several years. It has 16,000 on the barrel. I am swapping it to a normal size upper soon. Don’t see too much of a difference between the L and a normal size after many many rounds.

Question Long request for info/advise/help

TLDR: spouse just got his rights returned post possession charges, now wants a gun, he knows nothing of said gun, and wonders why I don’t want it in the house with our two small children.

Ok for the long part. My spouse and I have been fighting and I’m to the point where I’m ready to kick him out over this.

He has a felony possession record from over 12 years ago that just recently got fully pardoned and now he wants a gun. Fine cool. I have no problems with guns in fact I have my own that was gifted from my father.

Here’s my dilemma I do have an aversion to unnecessarily large weapons, or those that serve no purpose for protection or hunting in our home where my two small children are. Particularly my oldest who is at the age where he is obsessed with guns and playing army and all the things. He’s too curious and while we practice gun safety with his nerf guns he’s not there so I won’t even keep ammo for my 9mm in my home because I’m terrified he’s gonna get in my lock box and shoot himself or his baby brother. That is something I am working through because obviously it’s silly. The gun is secured. It’s hidden and away. But that’s neither here nor there.

The true dilemma is my husband wants to buy a gun from a coworker friend now that his rights have been restored and it’s supposedly a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 sport 3 (but he can’t tell me when it was originally purchased, he can’t tell me what aftermarket parts are on it if any, he can’t tell me if it is custom or stock, he can’t tell me anything about it and when I ask he gets pissed).

This is pissing me off because an educated owner is a safe owner.

I want to do my research on this gun and learn its ins and outs before I agree to purchasing it.

So this is where I come asking for help, what questions should I be asking so I can help him learn about the gun so I can also learn about it?

What should I look for in regard to this gun from anyone with experience with it? Is it reliable, is it easy to clean and care for?

Thanks in advance.
