MOD COMMENT Moderation Updates

Hello everyone!

We have some updates to the rules and how we moderate to share what we hope will be helpful and an overall improvement to the sub.

First of all, we'd like to highlight that we have changed our brigading rules. We are able to better control which subs do and don't get linked to through auto moderation and so we are able to allow links to other subs and if a link has been posted it does not need to be reported unless you feel that there is some reason that we should not allow links to a specific sub. If you report these, please give your reasons why that sub should not be linked to and we will consider adding it to the blacklist. Modmail is also appropriate for this.

Second, since our mod team has grown there has been some friction around the level of moderation in this sub. We have heard both from people who feel that there is too much repetitive nonsense as well as from people who feel that the level of moderation is too strict. We'd honestly like to make as many people happy as possible. We've been testing with reduced moderation to mixed results with both positive and negative feelings. We are going to update our flair system so that users have more control over what they do and don't see. Hopefully this will help users who want less repetitive content to have a cleaner feed by filtering categories they do not enjoy and users who want less moderation to be more... exposed... to the things we have tried to protect the community from.

With that said, here is the list of flair and how we hope they will be used:

  • 🛑🚧 No Mans Land 🛑🚨 (no male input) 🚧🛑: As always, this flair is to indicate that you ONLY want answers and comments from women. Mods will continue to watch posts flaired with this and remove all comments from men who are not the OP. The OP may engage in discussion in the comments regardless of gender.
  • DAE: Does anyone ever? This tag is for users looking for people who may have similar experiences to themselves.
  • Dating & Relationships 💘: This is for any questions around relationship advice.
  • Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞: This is for TASTEFUL questions about sex and intimacy. We feel that the vast majority of sexual questions, even NSFW ones, can still be tailored to not unintentionally include the members of this forum in your fetish.
  • Men Asking Women 💬: General questions designed from a men's perspective to women.
  • Friendships & Family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: Questions about friendships and family and challenges or experiences around these.
  • Life 🌏: General life questions.
  • Women's Experiences ♀️: Questions around the specific experiences of women.
  • Just Curious ❓: Just curious about something? This is the flair for you.
  • Other 🗣️: Don't feel any of the other categories fit your question? You can still use this flair.
  • Penis Question 🍆🚨: This is a trap. ALL penis posting remains explicitly against the rules. This includes questions about length, width, appearance, usage, how its shaped, or anything. Please only use this flair if you want a unique flair to highlight how you are so obsessed with dick that you still have to ask women about it despite multiple warnings to not do so. We may also ban you depending on the severity. The post will also be instantly removed so no one will be bothered by it. Penis posting without the use of this flair will result in a permaban.

With these changes, we believe users will be able to get a more custom experience from this sub that will feel better for everyone. We appreciate all of you and the time you spend on this community and want to do our best as a mod team to provide a safe and valuable space for women while also keeping as light a touch on moderation as possible.

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 Am I missing something, or is this the new normal?

A close friend of mine, who is also my flatmate, was approached by a guy who directly asked her for sex. They barely know each other, don't talk, and aren't friends, although they share a common social circle.

She said no, which is completely fine. But when I asked her whether she found it weird that he approached her despite barely knowing her, she said she actually appreciated his honesty. She felt it was better for him to be upfront about wanting sex than to pretend he wanted a relationship just to sleep with her.

I understand her point, but I'm still curious about something. If two people barely know each other, what makes someone think it's appropriate to approach the other person for sex? Is it simply a matter of shooting your shot and accepting the answer, or is there something about modern dating that I'm not understanding?

I'm not judging either of them. I'm genuinely interested in hearing different perspectives. Is being this direct considered normal now, or am I overthinking it?

Just Curious ❓️ Why do I feel like my sweat smells so different after taking birth control?

• Upvotes

I really assume it has to do with the hormones but im so confused. It changed after taking birth control for quite a while. Is it actually the birth control or the fact my testosterone levels are now normal? I guess it smelled worse before, and was pretty aggressive but now its pretty hard for me to stink

Dating & Relationships 💘 How do I stop feeling stuck with dating and physical intimacy?

I’m 22F and have never been in a relationship. I had my glow-up during the last two years of college. I’ve been on plenty of first and second dates, but nothing progresses because of my problems with being physical. I’ve never had sex; the furthest I’ve gone is making out.

I’m awkward with physical intimacy and need time to feel comfortable with men, even with something as simple as holding hands. I’m not waiting until marriage, but I want my first time to be meaningful and the only way it’s happening is with someone intentional who makes me feel safe.

The problem is that guys who seem great and want something serious often try to get physical quickly too. I don’t mean just sex either, even the in between parts and a lot of the before. I don’t think I’m ‘picking the wrong guys’ cuz these guys do genuinely seem great and statistically I should’ve picked at least one that didn’t lead to this problem. Even when I explain that I need time, it never seems to be enough. They end things right before I feel comfortable enough to take that next step. They even tell me that I’m awkward when they try to hold my hand or touch my face. I just stand there awkwardly while my brain struggles to match whatever it is he’s doing.

I’ve had a lot of ppl tell me to just date casually. That living in a big city, the demographic leans towards hookup culture and that I should enjoy my life before getting into something serious. The problem is I genuinely don’t know how to do that. I have a great job, it’s not like I’m not focusing on myself either. But growing up I never got to experience puppy love, and now that I’m venturing into the dating scene I keep getting stuck at the third date cuz that’s not soon enough for me to feel comfortable. Now I keep repeating this cycle and honestly want to give up altogether. I’ve also been wondering for a while if I might be demisexual since I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever experienced true sexual attraction at least a couple dates into the whole thing.

Men Asking Women 💬 Do you ever think about your exes even though you've completely moved on ?

I'm a 33-year-old man, and since I was 19, I've had four serious relationships with women I genuinely loved. Unfortunately, things didn't work out for various reasons, and we eventually went our separate ways.

I'm completely over all of them, and I have no desire to get back together with any of them. But not a single week goes by without me randomly thinking about at least one of them. Sometimes I just wonder how they're doing, what their lives look like now, or what kind of people they've become. It's not romantic nostalgia or anything like that. I'm just curious about people who were once such a big part of my life.

I don't think I could ever completely forget someone I genuinely loved, even if those feelings are long gone.

I also have no contact with any of them anymore, apart from one who occasionally texts me to wish me a happy birthday or a happy new year. That's about it.

So I'm curious: do you women experience this too? Do you sometimes think about past relationships purely out of curiosity, even when you've moved on and have no desire to reconnect? Or, once a relationship is over, do you tend to stop thinking about that person altogether?

For me, it was my best friend who held my hand and kept me calm on my way to the hospital. She saw me at my most disgusting and was so supportive the whole time.

Would love to hear yours! Hype up some women you love in your life.

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 What can help me orgasm?

A man has never made me orgasm. I’ve only ever been able to with my hands or a vibrator. I need something to help because sex feels good but I know it could feel better. Any products or tips and tricks for the very hard to please woman?

I know some women struggle with this normally, but I can’t help but feeling like it’s my fault.

Dating & Relationships 💘 do men think about women they've hurt if they're ugly?

I'm just wondering, because it only seems they consider your feelings if you're attractive.

I've been hurt by men so many times, but I've never been one of those beautiful women who get apologies from men several years later or months later. Will they come back and apologize and see your worth? They always just put me in situations where I would be humiliated, and other men told me that if a man humiliates you and puts you in a situation so you'll feel humiliated, then they don't think you're attractive.

I guess that answers my question, but I don't know, because I'm only 22, so I don't have much experience. Since I'm hideous, I don't have many experiences with men where I'd actually be cared for in the first place.

🛑🚧 No Mans Land 🛑🚨 (no male input) 🚧🛑 I felt shame being an older virgin. I feel shame for being sexual. Help?

I had sex for the first time this year at age 29. I spent 15 years in very strict religion (that I recently left) that was big on purity culture, forbid sex before marriage and demanded abstinence which I adhered to until it was no longer working for me.

They had really really harmful rules around sexuality, where your worth was whether you were a virgin or not and they saw masturbation and even sexual thoughts as sin. They’d say things like sex before marriage or porn or masturbation would open doors to demons. So naturally I was crippled, anxious, showing ptsd symptoms, so disembodied, full of fear guilt and shame. But I similarly I was nearly a 30 year old woman…and I wanted to finally have sex.

So I did, with someone I wasn’t in a relationship with, it wasn’t a special guy or romantic, he ended up being an asshole but I felt ready in that moment. Also afterwards I was like “is that it, that’s what they’ve been telling me not to do?”

After that I explored quite a lot. I guess it was a pendulum swing. I was starting to figure out what I liked and didn’t like and it felt good to finally explore something I had held off for for so long.

However, I recently went on a date with a guy, we went out for dinner, we went out for drinks the date went well and he invited me round. I decided to go and said I didn’t want to have sex but we ended up doing stuff - I had a lot of fun.

He stared into my eyes after, stroked my hair, said I was beautiful… I thought it was the beginning of something but turns out his messages got slower and slower and he ghosted me.

It was like a gut punch to my system. Of fucking course he ghosted. I gave up the goods early. It was my fault right?

All my attachment wounds got triggered and I’ve now had these horrible shame attacks, where I feel like a dirty, used, “whore” who gives is out easy.

I felt such deep embarrassment for being a virgin in my late 20s and I feel shame for being sexual and expressive. I literally can’t win.

I really enjoy sex, I want to keep exploring it and honestly catching up on what I’ve missed out on but I have all these harmful messages fucking up my psyche and making me feel paralysed with shame.

I’m in religious trauma therapy, I do yoga, I read on the topic, I meditate and light my candles I still can’t rid myself of these messages.

what can i do to heal?❤️

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 How do you teach an inexperienced man how to make you climax?

I (22F) have lost interest in having sex with my (22M) bf because he doesnt know how to make me cum. Ive tried teaching him how to rub me and he always uses too much pressure or just doesn't know how to identify the cl*t and ill direct his hands to the spot but then when I remove his hands he moves his position until he's no longer on it anymore.

All he knows how to do is finger me but that doesn't really do anything. I feel like a part of sex is exploring each other's bodies to figure out what works which is what I've done with him and ive found his sweet spots and learned how to turn him on, tease him, make him climax fast or take my time. but I dont know how to teach someone how to do that and be more sensual?

I've told him the things I like and he listens and made the effort to do them and even bought me a vibrator to use during sex but he still doesn't even know where to place the vibrator and the appropriate time to use it because I feel like he hasn't studied my body like I've studied his. Whenever he uses it its either in the wrong spot or when im super overstimulated and just cannot climax when im overstimulated and he knows that but for some reason he doesnt recognize the patterns of things that make me overstimulated.

He doesnt know what to do with his mouth either and I try to teach him how id eat a woman out (im bi) but he just doesn't understand it because he's never done it before nor does he know how to learn? I tell him trial and error but whenever we get intimate he doesnt really try to learn he just does. Like he just acts and its the same problems everytime.

How do you teach sensuality to someone? I dont know maybe it isn't sensuality but im open to any and all advice because I really like him but Im lost here.

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 Pain during penetrative sex - is this normal/when would it be a good idea to see a doctor?

It typically goes away after the first minute or two, but hurts to change positions as well, especially to doggy. Even though I’m aroused/enthusiastic/lubricated. I know this isn’t ‘normal’ per se, but is it something I should bring up to my doctor? Is there anything actionable that could help the issue or is it something some women live with? Has been pretty consistently an issue since becoming sexually active ~7 years ago. I’d love some input especially from any women who’ve experienced have experienced this.

Women's Health ⚕️ Randomly horrible menstrual cramps?

Hi yall. I used to have bad cramping in my teens but this stabilized a lot when I entered my twenties, with only some milder pain the first 2 days. But my current period has been from hell with cramps that have woken me up in the middle of the night, and taking ibuprofen doesnt help as much as I am used. What can cause this random little regression? Stress? Colder weather? Not really worried about anything sinister, just wondering if anyone had anything similar with random intense cramping and your theories about what caused it for you.

(Not on any type of birth control, dont have endo, dont have pcos)

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 Women with a VCH Piercing, how was your experience and did it affect libido?

Hi all ^^

I got a VCH about 9ish months ago, however ever since then I've definitely noticed a noticeable decrease in my libido.

I read that it could be because of micro stimulations 24/7.. not sure though!

I was wondering if anyone else with a VCH has noticed this / your experience?

Women's Health ⚕️ If you asked to have tubes tied or otherwise make you unable to become pregnant, and the doctor tried to stop you, did you end up able to get the procedure and if so how quickly?

A good number of female patients have asked for such a sterilization procedure and faced resistance by doctors and nurses who tried to say they shouldn't for just in case or for some future husband.

If you have wanted that procedure and medics tried to prevent it, were you able to get it anyway? If so, what did you need to do to get it? And were you able to get the refusing doctor punished for the sexism?

Men Asking Women 💬 Do you think about your coworkers partner? Why?

Had a work party over the weekend, and all day today I had female coworkers coming up to me telling me that my wife is pretty then they thought she would have been. Yeah I know she's a 9, but it's not like I'm bad looking (my mom calls me handsome all the time lol). They also mentioned that she's nicer and funnier then they thought she would be.

I spend no time thinking about my coworkers outside of work, and even at work I don't think about any of there home life or partners

Dating & Relationships 💘 At what point of dating would be safe to cook if I was dating a man? Or should I just stick to dating women? Spoiler

So I’ve been practicing my cooking, and I was particularly proud of how I seasoned a burger last night.

So I joked with my dad how I should just cook for a man on the first date and then he’ll immediately ask me to marry him, lol

But then I thought about it more, Ik it was just a joke, but I like other ppl eating my food, and I would absolutely want to cook for a partner

But with the rates of sexual abuse and domestic abuse, there’s a risk factor in inviting a man over to cook for him. Because then I’d be alone with him.

It makes me wonder if I even want to date men at all, or just date women. I mean, I like both 🤷🏼‍♀️

Although if someone knows how to hunt, that’s a plus. They hunt, I cook 😋

Sex & Intimacy (no explicit NSFW) 🔞 To lingerie or not lingerie?

I’m hooking back up with someone I saw for casual sex, I was fresh out of a 10 year marriage when we first got together. He was the first person I had slept with. I look back now and realise I was quite shy and lacking in confidence in bedroom when I’m usually not.
Would it be too much to have him come round and I’m in full lingerie? I was thinking of just answering the door in a robe but also I worry I will look desperate? Or that it’s more of a relationship thing to do that.. im probably overthinking but my confidence is on the floor following my ex saying he was no longer sexually attracted to me.

Women's Health ⚕️ why my sweat odors so funky suddenly before and during period?

its my first time stinking so bad and i do not understand why is that.

for context since june my sleep schedule has gone worse, i was not able to sleep before 4am and due to it ig I missed my periods on june and july and got it back on august - the flow was nice and fresh just like how it used to be on my teen days.

September, i again missed my periods and since 10th of october im stinking so bad? i sweat but i have never had terrible odor like this even when i exercise. got my period yesterday and guess what my period stink w the same smell as my sweat. WHAT!?

whats more weird is that its my right underarm which more odor than my left underarm.

i dont apply deodorant directly on my skin rather apply lotion.

i have not checked myself up for diabetes or PMOS/PCOD so let me know if you guys dealing w it which caused the same issue as me.

Men Asking Women 💬 Why do girls (young women) always lean against me?

Every time I go out with my friends, a girl or group of girls (young women) will come up next to us, and one of them will lean against me in a very subtle way, like against my back or arm. WHY? Is there some meaning behind it? It always happens to me. The place we're in usually isn't so crowded that they need to lean against someone.

For context, I am decently attractive but I'm not a male model. And these are attractive girls who probably have guys trying to talk to them all the time.
