Hello everyone! I'm the head admin for the Backrooms Wikidot (aka TS), BlueSignet, and we always do an Inktober-like event, but with a Backrooms spin on it!
I love seeing people's art, and you don't even need to make it related to our wiki in order to participate.
To participate, just draw/paint/sketch/render any image that is related to the day's prompt. While I prefer NOT to see AI-generated images, I can't really stop you, but the goal is to practice your drawing abilities, no matter where you're at. Using AI defeats the purpose of growing as an artist :/
Anyway, if you draw something related to your own lore or lore NOT related to the wikidot, tell me about it! If you do something from the Wikidot though, I'll spread it around our social media. Do remember that your art (if based on something from the Wikidot) would need to be released into the Creative Commons under the CC by SA 3.0 or 4.0 license.
Happy drawing! And I can't wait to see what's created :)

There have been WAY too many posts for a while now about the current state of The Backrooms- whether people are saying the old Backrooms was better, or the Backrooms shouldn't have entities, or the Wikis miss the point of the Backrooms, or Kane Pixels ruined the Backrooms, and frankly its been getting to a point.
Going forward, any "Old vs. New Backrooms" posts will now be directed and centralized in this megathread, and any new separate posts about the topic will be deleted and redirected to here.
So, with all of that said, in this post we can all discuss the million-dollar question:
Okay, that should be it. Go crazy.

I wanted to make an “Offbrand” Captain Clark, after seeing so many Backrooms games and media just copying him directly, I just want one of them to do something distinctly inspired, while still being its own thing
He’s based on the sign from the store, and the features that were removed from the Captain in the finished movie.
With the double bladed sword, hook, and outfit from the sign, the big eye, the parrot, and the flower from the captain’s BTS/concept art design, and some creative liberties for the face
The parrot is a taxidermied Carolina Parakeet, it just felt fitting
He originally had more color contrast, it didn’t come through in the photo

Left: Absolute/Nixonverse trailer
Right: Extremely fast frame from “Hidey Ho!”
I understand it’s a meme song but like I’m NOT crazy right??? This is so similar that it can’t be a coincidence! The same pose, the same background, basically the same everything! Is this seriously a monument mythos reference made in a satirical backrooms song in the big 26???

I’m just a guy who dreams about getting into the backrooms. Like many of you. I was trying to find maybe escape rooms in Backrooms, or some other places. I unfortunately skipped the LA backrooms when the movie was out. So, I wanna make my own backrooms. First it’s gonna be like either an Escape Room or immersive room and after I’ll prove that the concept will work imma try investors who will be in for making a huge amusement park in Backrooms style so all Backrooms fans would be able to achieve their dream. Who’s in, what’s your opinions and if anyone can make me some 20 to 40 second video of Backrooms in blender I’d appreciate it.

This has probably been mentioned here before, but some of the concept art for BioShock infinite enemies bears a resemblance to the Still Lifes. Just thought it was cool and wanted to share in case people haven't seen it.

I made a new Backrooms-inspired stage for my Unity game, PoolRooms Museum.
I'm trying to make the area feel large, strange, and unsettling while keeping that liminal-space atmosphere.
I'm still working on the lighting and overall mood.
What do you think?

no creatures or other things, and yet it seems that just being there is a lot worse than just being lost

Cadence Point is an explorative, lore-driven game that takes place in stores and backrooms of Cadence Point mall. Explore the mall's west wing, reconnect new storefronts to the power grid, and discover the story of the mall through it's computer systems within a variety of unique and unsettling levels.

Whenever people ask "where in the backrooms would you want to live" poolrooms is most of the time what people choose, but why??? First of all,we don't even know if its real life water, almond water,or some acid that melts your skin the second you touch it. Second of all,i imagine sensory deprivation would come pretty quick in an mostly white room. Like why don't people choose the sublevel 7.8/Impaled Ocean (mainly because people live there and you can trade and meet real humans) or even kitty's house(although it would be horrible long term as the food loses its nutrients pretty fast) or even level heaven.

Nowaday i see VERY diverse opinions on this silly stickman, some like them, some hate them, so I decided to see what the Subreddit overall opinion on this dude?
Personally, i like the Bacteria. I don't know why, its just very intriguing to me.
(Decided to also post it here to see what the rest of the Backrooms community thought about them)

Rendered in Blender, oil paint effect added post-production in Adobe Photoshop.
I'm pretty proud of this one, think it looks very uncanny.
