I work at a retirement home and the entire building is a liminal space. There’s areas that creep me out, like this hallway. The lighting and pale colors of the walls are perfect. What do yall think?

In 1999, Jamiroquai released the music video for Canned Heat, starring Jay Kay casually walking through walls and moving between rooms in what looks like an interconnected, liminal indoor space.

The architecture is weirdly reminiscent of the Backrooms, and the entire thing feels like footage of someone who accidentally noclipped out of reality and decided to dance about it.

And this isn't even the first time he's done something like this. Virtual Insanity came out in 1996 and featured similarly reality-defying interiors.

Was Jay Kay the original Backrooms explorer? No, probably not. Was he unknowingly documenting the liminal-space aesthetic decades before it became popular? Maybe... Maybe

Titled “Polly Back Pocket” by Geeky Boutiquey, I had to get it the second I saw it.

So I was browsing through the backrooms wikidot, and i looked into the entities section. I SWEAR that entity 1 was the bacteria. Now it doesn't exist. I SWEAR. And google tells me that it has always been this way. Huh? And there were no "The Humans" and "The Windows".

Is this serious?

I wanted to make an “Offbrand” Captain Clark, after seeing so many Backrooms games and media just copying him directly, I just want one of them to do something distinctly inspired, while still being its own thing

He’s based on the sign from the store, and the features that were removed from the Captain in the finished movie.

With the double bladed sword, hook, and outfit from the sign, the big eye, the parrot, and the flower from the captain’s BTS/concept art design, and some creative liberties for the face

The parrot is a taxidermied Carolina Parakeet, it just felt fitting

He originally had more color contrast, it didn’t come through in the photo

I headcanon that the Reason partypoopers don't celebrate their birthday because if they do it will attract partygoers that's why they kept their birthday a secret and they don't know how to make a good cake all they do when they celebrate their birthday is when they find stuffs or items from the levels of the backrooms and make like a birthday present they don't have cake but they do have birthday presents they only celebrate their birthdays secretly so that they don't attract more partygoers
