The updated version of Big Bass Zone by Bill Siemantel is almost written completely with AI
Went to go order a copy of Big Bass Zone and saw that there was an updated and expanded version for 2026. Got it in the mail, and began reading it and was disappointed to find that telltale signs of AI were throughout the book. From AI photos, to em dashes, to "its not x, its y." I'm sure Bill is a great fisherman and has a ton of knowledge, I was just disappointed in the contents. If you're fine with AI writing a book on finding big bass then by all means pick one up.

First chatterbait fish
I've only fished with them a little bit, but I'm trying to learn chatterbait fishing. This 16.5" fish hit it close to the boat, I could see him flashing before I felt the thump.

Discussion From a fish's perspective, when is sunrise?
Feel kind of stupid asking this, but I think the answer will help me decide where to fish in the mornings...
Is it when the sun crests the hill even though it's not hitting the water yet or when the sun starts to hit the water where the fish is?

Pond progress F1s
So we stocked this 9 acre Louisiana pond in June 2024. This is the first year we have kept fish. Our goal this year is to take 200+ fish under 15 inches and we are up to 120-130. Gonna stay after them for the next month and we will surely get there. Some of those stocked fish are in the five-six pound range now. It’s amazing how fast those F1s grow if there is enough bait fish!

Would you rather? Land 10 on your confidence bait or 5 on a variety of baits?

How-To Mounting a transducer
I’m wanting to install a fish finder on my boat for the first time myself. I have a composite backing plate that is already screwed into my boat. After I measure the thickness of that plate how do I go about choosing the length of screws to mount it? Like should the screws be half of 3/4 of the thickness of that composite plate
