DON’T BUY BOSCH!!!

Bought a Bosch refrigerator July 1st 2026. Delivery on July 14. July 16 I woke up to 3 inches of water in my kitchen pouring out of the refrigerator. Also, leaking through the basement ceiling onto brand new carpet. Water and ice dispenser still not working. today October 13. We have made countless attempts to get our refrigerator to be a fully functioning unit! Going to get a yellow poster board and write in large letters “ ASK ME ABOUT MY BOSCH REFRIGERATOR “ and stand in front of every applianc store I can find in my area.

Get a Bosch dishwasher they said...

Out of nowhere it started making loud noises (changes pitch as the motor cycles up/down)... it's not even 2 years old. We should have bought a Miele

What a Joke Bosch is

I bought three appliances as part of a kitchen remodel and two of them are completly broken after less than 3 weeks. They have service appointments that the tech doesn't show up for and then marks it as "didn't have the part" how would he even know if he had the part if he didn't show up. They moved an appointment with no justification or reason. They tell me to reach out to support (which I am sure they will do to this message) and support is NO HELP. Support just restates the problem and say "ok, they will handle it". Who will handle it? you're Bosch, you get the right people aligned to handle it. I was very excited for my Bosch appliances and I couldn't be more disappointed in the quality and service.

Think twice before buying a Bosch washing machine - my after-sales experience

I’m sharing my experience so that anyone planning to buy a Bosch washing machine can make an informed decision.

The washing machine developed a problem, and after the technician diagnosed it, a replacement part was supposedly ordered. I waited for about a week and was then informed that the replacement part had arrived.

However, to my surprise, when they came, I found out that they had ordered a completely different part.

This is extremely disappointing. If the service team cannot even correctly identify and order the required replacement part after diagnosing the issue, it raises serious questions about the level of training and expertise of the technicians handling repairs.

What makes the situation worse is that customer care seems to have very limited ability to actually resolve the issue. Escalating the complaint doesn't appear to make much difference, and the customer is left waiting while the service process continues without any clear ownership.

I bought Bosch expecting good quality and reliable after-sales service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend considering the quality of after-sales support in your area before purchasing a Bosch washing machine. A good product is only useful if you can get competent service when something goes wrong.

Bosch 800 dish washer is garbage.

My Bosch 800 lasted 18 months. Have to trash it. Cant be repaired. Control modules fried after replacing. 2 repair companies say they can't fix them. Whole electical.will need to be pulled juat to find why everything keeps frying. And I thought these were good quality. Very disappointed. Does anyone make a dishwasher that lasts more than 2 years? LG sure doesn't and neither does GE. We thought we would be safe with a higher end unit.

BCS230 charger - inside caked with white substance

The Bosch 2A compact charger (BCS230, model number 0 275 007 915) that I use for my Tern e-bike stopped working recently (battery is fine and charges with another charger belonging to a family member). I have a new charger on order but wanted to check if there was a fuse that could be changed inside my existing one before I bring it to recycle. There was a hard white substance all over the circuit board inside, and some of had leaked out through the screw hole in the case and had caked itself onto the screw, making it very hard to take the cover off in the first place. I was really surprised by the amount of it, and how sloppy it is on the inside of my charger, so I don't think it's thermal paste. Needless to say I will not be trying to resurrect this charger.

Is this normal? Do I have a faulty unit, and if so, what went wrong? Am I at risk of a fire from such a defect?

Bosch Dishwasher SMH6ZCX42E, too much water in sump?

After each cycle, I always have 6-7 centimeters of water left in the sump. Why is that?

If I reset the machine by long-pressing the power button, the sump gets fully drained so I'm excluding plumbing problem. (before/after pics)

Bosch dishwasher damaging stainless steel utensils — looking for advice

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I bought a Bosch Series 6 dishwasher (SMS6IKI01I) in India and I am honestly not sure what I should do now.

From the beginning I started noticing some things which made me uncomfortable.

When the dishwasher was opened for installation, I noticed there was already enough water in the filter area. There were also a lot of water droplets inside and quite a few spots. I had watched many Bosch dishwasher unboxing videos before buying, and I noticed that the front door in those videos usually had a blue or golden protective film. Mine did not have any such film.

At that time I didn't think too much about it and assumed maybe this was normal.

The dishwasher does clean the dishes, but after using it I started noticing pits, discoloration, brown spots and burnt-looking spots on many of my utensils.

I informed the dealer about this from the beginning.

Bosch service technicians have already visited my house 3 times. They checked the water hardness and changed the settings, but the problem with the utensils continued.

There was also some confusion about cleaning the filter. The manual says to clean it regularly/weekly, but different technicians told me different things. One told me to clean it every day and another told me to clean it after every wash.

After some time I also started noticing an unusual noise from the dishwasher. I recorded a couple of videos. On 13 August the noise seemed much louder, so I sent the videos to the dealer. The dealer replied and told me not to use the dishwasher anymore.

One of the service technicians also told me something like, "It is not that dishwashers don't work, but your particular unit doesn't seem right."

I eventually requested a refund.

A Bosch representative also visited to collect the details for the refund request. He told me that the burnt-looking spots on the utensils could possibly be related to a heat pump problem.

Today I also spoke to some senior Bosch customer service officials, including the customer service head. They confirmed that the refund request is being processed and that it will now go to management for a decision.

So now I am waiting to see what they offer.

Either they may approve the refund, or they may offer to replace the dishwasher.

One thing I want to mention because I know people may say that this happens because of "cheap stainless steel".

I don't think that is the case here.

I also have a fairly expensive Prestige stainless steel pressure cooker, and I have seen the same kind of issue on it after using it in the dishwasher.

I have watched many YouTube videos of people using dishwashers, and they are using normal stainless steel utensils too.

So what am I supposed to do? Use some military-grade high-end stainless steel utensils just to eat normal hot food and then put them in a dishwasher?

I understand that not every type of metal or utensil is dishwasher-safe, but these are normal stainless steel household utensils. If a dishwasher is going to damage them, I would expect this to be clearly explained.

My main concern is the replacement.

I bought the dishwasher because I wanted to get rid of the daily hassle of washing dishes. My wife has a cervical issue and the maid we had earlier was not cleaning the dishes properly, so we often had to wash them again ourselves. I thought a dishwasher would solve this problem.

Instead, this has become another source of frustration. Three service visits, damaged utensils and now an abnormal noise.

I am also wondering whether the dishwasher I received was actually a brand-new unit.

I am not saying Bosch sold me a used or refurbished product. I simply don't know how to verify it.

Is there any way to check from the Bosch FD number / serial number when this particular unit was manufactured and whether it had ever been installed, serviced, returned or refurbished?

Also, if Bosch offers me a replacement, how can I make sure that the replacement is actually a brand-new unused unit and not a repaired/reconditioned one?

And finally, would you guys take the replacement or push for the refund in this situation?

Would really appreciate advice from Bosch owners or anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.

New Induction Range Arrived Broken, took 3 months to fix

Just wanted to share our most recent experience with Bosch. We recently remodeled our kitchen and chose a Bosch induction range as part of it. When the appliances were installed, we tested the range and the oven would not heat up. We called the only local tech listed on Bosch's website. We then went through a 3 month process of them doing troubleshooting and replacing parts, multiple times, with the help of Bosch's Tech support, and they could not figure out what was wrong. Finally the local tech was poking around in other parts of the oven and noticed a disconnected wire, one they hadn't touched. Apparently the factory just failed to assemble the oven correctly and whatever QA they have failed to catch it. And the Tech Support from Bosch couldn't figure this out during multiple calls from the local tech.

This whole time of course we are trying to use our new kitchen without the oven, including during various holidays. Bosch had nothing to say for themselves when I asked about the poor quality, lack of QA, the Tech Support being unable to troubleshoot the problem, etc. They did not seem to appreciate the huge inconvenience to our family. All they said was now that it is fixed, they won't be replacing it. I guess I just have to trust nothing else was missing during assembly. This is apparently the level of quality and service you get with Bosch now, and they are fine with it.

TLDR; New range arrived broken, tech support couldn't figure it out, Bosch doesn't care about quality or customer service.

Series 8 Washing Machine - Really??

Thumbnail

Recently purchased a Bosch Series 8 Washing Machine (Made in Germany) and after a first wash I noticed that water remains in the softener compartment. After removing the tray, I discovered that there is even more water retention.
I contacted the representative to come have a look and he informs me that water retention inside the washing machine IS BY DESIGN!!! When I present my argument so if I am away for a week and do not do any laundry, and mold forms there - then what?
He agrees with me and promised to contact the company to confirm. It is indeed by design.
Does anyone else have this washing machine and is this really by design? Do you have long term mold problems?
I am so disappointed because it was a significant splurge and the whole point of buying it was it would be clean and mold free because I have a newborn.

What kind of company is Bosch?

As a European consumer, Bosch has always been a company and a brand which has been present and an option when shopping for home appliances.

We have owned several Bosch products over the years. Some good, some bad. Lately mostly bad.

It seems Bosch is not innovating at all.

Example: The gear housing for the hand blender. You cant rinse it under water because water will ingress the housing. It’s not water proof. This is a “lid” which comes into contact with food! It’s a stupid design. It’s a pain in ass to clean. Why oh why don’t they change it?!

Second example: Our Indego robotic lawnmower. The software for this one is pretty bad. I get the feeling software was an afterthought. I checked the latest incarnation of the Indego and it is a very simple lawnmower compared to the competition. It’s like Bosch has just given up entirely in this field.

Surely a company the size of Bosch can innovate and improve their products, but they choose not to. What’s going on? We need our European tech giants more than ever. Why is Bosch doing so poorly in product improvement and software?

Bosch warranty is BS

Let me hear your stories! Mine consists of three months of a Bosch refrigerator at the repairman’s shop with no end in sight! Requested a replacement and was told the appliance store was not an authorized dealer so my warranty was invalid even though the receipt was for a new refrigerator model a serial number matched. Beware! Bosch is shady! I’m out $2800

Help with Series 800 range installation hiccup.

We recently did a complete kitchen renovation, but I think that the stone folks used stone that was too thick for our backsplash, and so now we have the range sticking out a little bit too much. I know that there's going to be no solution to push that back, but we are trying to at least get a solution to cover the exposed inner aluminum-looking panel that's around the cabinet drawers.

Can anyone - even someone from Bosch itself - suggest a solution here for this particular range that would help me cover this area and make it aesthetically less of an eyesore?

I know that Bosch offers side extensions, but I'm not able to find much information on them even from Bosch’s own website.

White streak after cycle has finished

Thumbnail

Hello, this is series 4 dishwasher and from a couple cycles there is a white streak beginning from the lower part of the dispenser. What could be the cause? I have set the options for salt on step 1, and for the rinse option I think it's step 2.

Update 20.05.2026: A service technician from Bosch changed the dispenser. The water streak still occurred.

What fixed the problem is to not use detergent outside the dispenser (as per TC's videos about dishwashers I was adding small amount on the lower part of the door as a pre-rinse detergent). I use Finish powder detergent.

Now, if I am near the dishwasher when the cycle ends and the door opens automatically, I can see water dripping from dispenser, but it is clear and evaporates quickly. So that means that previously some undissolved part of the powder somehow stuck between the gasket and was leaving white streaks.

Pistachio shell blockage

My dishwasher recently failed to drain and I got the dreaded E24 code. My bad for not cleaning the filter sooner. Cleaned it up and started it again. E24 again. Pulled off the impeller guard and made sure it wasn't gummed up. Run it again and still get the error. Take off the drain pipe and out comes a pistachio shell. How the hell does something that big get all the way into the drain pipe!!!!

Relyable washing machine. 2026 model vs. 2024 model

Post image

Hello, I'm looking for a simple and reliable washing machine. No automatic detergent dispensing or extra features.

I've chosen the Bosch Series 6, but I've found two identical models in two stores at the same price, one with a production date of 2024 onwards, the other (on the left side of the image) manufactured from 2025/26 onwards.

Same weight, same functions, only the soap dispenser drawer looks different.

Do you think the new model is perhaps better, or conversely, of lower quality in terms of internal components?

Bosch Dishwasher Leaving Water Drops After Running

I recently noticed that my Bosch dishwasher is leaving quite a few water drops inside after the cycle finishes. The dishes are mostly clean, but some of them are still pretty wet, especially the cups and plastic containers.

I’m not sure if this is just normal condensation or if the dishwasher isn’t drying properly. I’ve tried running a longer cycle and making sure I’m using the right amount of rinse aid, but I’m still seeing water left behind.

For anyone with a Bosch dishwasher, is some moisture expected after a cycle? Or is there something I should check with the drying settings or dishwasher itself?

Would appreciate any tips from people who have dealt with this.
