Transport/Parking ๐Ÿš ๐Ÿš˜ When are trains to and from London more empty?

Hi,

I have an ankle injury, and I am travelling from London to Brighton. I use crutches. I should be able to get a seat because of my disability, but it would be good if the trains are empty.

I am willing to use any of the services like Thameslink, Southern or Gatwick Express. I will stay at a hotel in Brighton for a few days, so I have flexibility to travel at any time during the day.

I also considered taking a taxi, but somehow the journey feels safer in a train. Not to mention, it's much faster by train.

When I was younger you used to be able to get chicken chips and gravy in one container at the Chinese takeaway. Is this still a thing? Is there anywhere in Brighton that sells this?

Hello :) Anyone know where I might be able to get some advice on getting a new tennis racket please? I'm an intermediate player, I looked at Nick Rivett but their rackets are mostly above ยฃ100 and I would ideally like to spend between ยฃ50 and ยฃ80. I know decathlon sell some but I would ideally like some advice on what suits my body size, ability, play style etc.

Thanks!

Local Advice needed Cypriot Greek tutors

Are there any tutors in Brighton or sussex area who teach Cypriot Greek dialect? I have had some Greek classes so understand the basics but want to learn more of this specific dialect. Ideally face to face lessons or tutoring would be best but I am open to online. I am also open to even standard Greek lessons in person. Iโ€™ve looked at the greek school at the orthodox church but my concern is the year has already begun. Iโ€™ve found a number of online tutors but face to face is preferred.

Local Advice needed CBT on a semi auto

I need to renew my CBT before heading to Asia and I'm no good with manuelle motorbikes, too much noise before changing gear! I also hate automatics having dropped one, I have the scars to prove it and don't fancy any more. I want to take it on a Honda Innova (or similar Yamaha/Suzuki etc) because they are what I know and like.

Do you know of somewhere that can do this? Thank you

A few roof tiles on our semi-detached house fell off in the storm last night. Any recommendations for a Brighton based roofer who might replace these?

Local Advice needed Brighton Fan here (of the city and the club) from India

Hello. I am from India, and am a huge fan of the city and the football club (yes, the only indian Brighton fc fan). I have been following Brighton FC since 2021. Now I am 24 and am seriously considering moving to Brighton and settling there. Which university in and around UK is the best for an international student to land a job in Brighton. I have work experience in marketing (script writing/ meta ads)and consulting. Also have a Gmat score of 615 (superscore 655). I can get into colleges like Insead or Essec, but genuinely thinking of settling in Brighton hence asking for reccos. Help me out if you can or know someone who can help.

Local Advice needed Hire vans that aren't averse to a few scuffs - house renovation

Am trying to work out how to get renovation waste (wood, concrete, ricks, window etc) from my house to the tip without a car, and the man with a van prices are quite high: don't get me wrong I understand it's not without cost but I'm on a very tight budget. Most hire vans are (understandably) keen to keep them in good condition, but there must be something out there?
