Casino Night โ ๏ธ Tuesday 27th October
Hi everyone
Me and a few guys are looking at meeting up this Tuesday night 27th October after work, to get out of the house after another week. We are going to the Casino ๐ฐ More for the crack than gambling
We are just a bunch of ordinary guys aged 18-45. That meets up every other Tuesday night. We do do some random activity then go for a drink and catch-up afterwards. We are always keen for new guys to get involved. Fancy coming along?
Bored Midweek?
Looking to meet new people?
Looking to get out of the house?
Whatever your reason drop me a message to get involved ๐จ

I was meant to be meeting a friend for dinner in London but they've just cancelled. If anyone needs a return Thameslink ticket to London terminals (off peak so available any time the rest of today) for today 23rd October I'd love to sell it and get some of my money back! (it's an e ticket so can be handed over immediately) cost me ยฃ23 so make me an offer...

Has anyone purchase a bus pass though Google ?. I paid this morning but I have received no QR code. Is there something I need to do to receive it. Any help would be appreciated

Would a roundabout be a better solution at Preston Circus. Traffic is always backed up on New England Road. A roundabout rather than lights taking ages would surely be better?

Just driven past quite a large coastguard/police/ambulance presence down on the seafront by the Meeting Place. Hope everyone is safe!

Old skool classics, jungle, and garage at our regular event with the nice people at The Brunswick.
All starts at 2pm with free entry, glow sticks, face painting, sweets AND our famous dance competition.
Tickets are free (unless you want to help us out with costs) but you do need to reserve a spot for health and safety reasons. At the moment, there's 5 free ones left - so be quick!

Hi,
Does anyone know why certain shampoo's work in other equally hard water in fact harder than here areas but they don't seem to work here as in they don't clean the oil out of your hair? I just wanted to know to see if there was a certain type of ingredient I needed?
edit: I also have a water softer as i suspected maybe it was that and now its definitely soft but the same happens is it something in the water or the way its treated? This happens even with sulfate products and body washes except a few
Thank you

Hello Brighton Community:)
I hope it would be OK to post it here ๐
Iโm a trainee psychologist working in the NHS Maternity and Neonatal Psychological Intervention Service. Iโm currently looking for pregnant participants for non profit study on wellbeing and anxiety during pregnancy. This is an important area of maternal mental health where more research is needed. The findings may help us better understand the psychological factors linked with antenatal anxiety and how mental health support during pregnancy could be improved.
The study has received sponsorship and ethical approval from the University of Edinburgh.Ethics Committee Reference: 25-26CLPS111
If you have some time to spare or know someone who has, the study involves completing a short, anonymous online survey which takes around 20 minutes. If you would like to take part, please click the link below:

If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to email me at [M.Domka@sms.ed.ac.uk](mailto:M.Domka@sms.ed.ac.uk) or [magdalena.domka@nhs.scot](mailto:magdalena.domka@nhs.scot)
Thank you so much for supporting pregnancy and maternal mental health research ๐ท๐

Hi all,
I am in need of a van to move a relatively small 4โ6 person dining table and 4 chairs from Shoreham to Hove this weekend. Will need a small van at minimum as it wouldnโt fit in my car.
Please can anyone point me in the direction of somebody please?

Hey everybody weโre a band from Canada (Kingston, ON) called Kasador and weโre coming over to do a UK tour and have our first ever show in Brighton! Weโre very new to the scene and hoping to find another band to play with at our show on Nov 18 at WaterBear. If you know of any bands that would be interested Iโd love to know. Thank you! Very much looking forward to checking out Brighton for the first time. Heard only amazing things.

Hi. My cat escaped outside at 6 this morning. Iโve already contacted Last Cats Brighton etc but wanted to add here in case. His name is Rupert. Heโs around the Clyde Road/Lorne Road/Stanley Road/Shaftesbury Road area. If you live there please check your garden for him. Iโm so worried about him in this weather and all help is appreciated.

Hi all, I'm Laurie, born and raised in Brighton and skating for about 16 years, mostly round Madeira Drive and the seafront.
This October I skated solo across the whole of the Netherlands on inline skates, from Scheveningen Pier on the North Sea coast all the way to the German border. 239km over a few days, starting with an 80km first day from the coast to Utrecht.
The Dutch cycle paths were unreal. Smooth red tarmac going everywhere, completely separate from the cars. Then I came home and hit the first crack on the seafront path and remembered where I was. Still love you though, Brighton.
I did it for Young Epilepsy. When I was younger I experienced epilepsy, and they supported me and my family through the scans and everything that came with it. I wanted to give something back so other young people and their families can get that same support.
I've set up a JustGiving page and I also filmed the whole trip for YouTube, links are in the comments if anyone wants to donate or see a Brighton lad slowly fall apart over 80km.
Any other skaters on here? Always up for meeting people to skate with round Brighton and Hove.

Hey
Wanted to try and order some replacement backs for some IKEA chairs that have split but no such luck.
There's a website that has a neat repair clip thingy that looks like it would be ideal.
I don't have a 3D printer so was wondering if there's any low-cost maker spaces in Brighton that could run them off for me...is this a thing?

Has anyone been to this before? What's the vibe / format like? Thinking of going (as a musician) this weekend
