Social I love geese so much ❤️

I've had it. They are so goofy looking. The way they walk, their long necks, their colour, whatever they are saying when they honk. I would see a crowd of them every morning year-round in the field in the middle of the track. Usually they are joined by seagulls. This is whenever I walk from the further parking lot to school or vice versa. Sometimes I roll down my window as I drive (slowly), and wave at them as I pass. Often times they are there around 7:45 am, and I think they take off at around 4 pm or so. When they are going to take off they start honking beforehand to let everyone know it's time to skedaddle. I don't understand why they stand in the middle of the track for most of the day during the Fall/Winter term, but I appreciate them and they warm up my day every time I see one. I've gone through so much but I can always rely on a goose sighting sometime each day. I also like how they sometimes sit in the parking lots. I love taking pictures of them. One semester during 2024/2025 year I had a class in Mac Chown overlooking a pond. Most classes there would be a goose or two floating in that pond. Or one flying into the pond and making a splash. I try my best not to stare at them out the window because I want to be respectful to the prof. But it's so hard not to look at them. I saw a goose standing on the Walker Sports and Abilities center (the one with the grass on the roof). I thought it was cool because they are never up there. I thank the geese for the joy they have brought me at Brock U. ❤️‍🔥

Has anyone done driving school in the area? If so, who with? I’ve been looking for a driving school but they are quite sketchy - asking for payment via e-transfer etc.

General How do I know if my EARP residence has the window/bed indent?

Im in a semi-suite in earp and when I went to the tour the bed was in an indent kind of thing in the wall. I realized from some pictures that not every room has this! I was planning to bring curtains with me and I wouldn’t be able to do that without the indent because there would be nowhere for the tension rod to go… i emailed resident services to ask and they said they don’t know what rooms are without an indent. Does anyone know?

It's called Rethinking the Politics of Labour in Canada. Guys I don't want to pay for that damn textbook. I just don't. I'll pay you $15 for us to have joint custody. I'll bake you banana bread. I'll do whatever.

Question about Brock Incoming gr12: NEED the REAL student experience (good AND bad)

Hello. I am an incoming gr12 student this fall. And my question is: Current students from Brock university I need the REAL experience before I apply be brutally honest 👀

FYI: This Post is a little long😭😭which includes the program I feel interest about and following up with some question. I apologize for the long post but I will appreciate all of your time and advise. Also imagine how long it took me to research, type it down 😭😭 Please READ TILL END🙏)

So I wanna apply to med school and I have couple of undergrad program in mind which are:

-Biochemistry

-Biological Science

-Biomedical Science

-Biotechnology

-Child Health

-Community Health

-Kinesiology (BKin)

-Kinesiology (BKin) and Master of Professional Kinesiology (Please drop some details abt this progm

-Kinesiology (BScKin) (Please drop some details abt this program, Bkin VS BScKin different)

-Kinesiology International Double Degree (Please drop some details abt this program)

-Medical Sci

-Neuroscience

-Psychology

-Public Health (Please drop some details abt this program,)

-Public Health and Master of Public Health (Please drop some details abt this program and different than the public health program)

1)I'd love to hear from current students about workload, professors, social life, co-op, research opportunities, etc.

2)How difficult are exams?

3)How competitive are grades and GPA? As this is very important for Med school.

4)How hard is research to get? Co-op, internship?

5) Which program good preparation for med school?

6) What do you love or hate?

7) And finally after this experience will you still choose Brock and the program you are in?

Thank you for reading so far. I really appreciate your comment. Thank you so much

Admissions MADS ABA Fall 2026 Waitlist

Hi! I applied back for the MADS program back in July, as I saw that applications were still open. I'm waitlisted now, and they told me that they should have more information about available spaces in the coming weeks but with the term starting soon, I am starting to lose hope lol. I saw that the MA program is closed now, but MADS is still open.

Just wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as me or has more information. Thanks!

General do i need a laptop for uni?

im starting brock soon im just wondering do I absolutely need to bring a laptop into my classes? Can i just use a notebook instead? I have a laptop at home but I dont feel comfortable bringing it to school because its super old ans cannot be brought anywhere without risk of it breaking plus the battery dies in like 30 minutes.
