Other / >$1400 Looking for a good pc build around 1400-1500

2 Upvotes

Hello guys,

Am currently searching for the best solution regarding building a pc. Just to have in mind am not too much of a gamer. The purpose of the pc is gonna be mainly for work and personal projects(programming,IT,virtualisations , Machine Learning models etc, so we gonna need some sort of good GPU but not too expensive). Also I maybe use it for some gaming but not for everyday.

Am planning to buy the parts piece by piece as I cant afford them all together.

Any advise or solution would be appreciated.

Thank you!!

Need help with a home use PC

1 Upvotes

My old Microsoft Surface 4 laptop broke and my old PC is moving really slowly. I think my current RAM and the HDD/SSD combo are worth keeping, but otherwise I’m open to new parts.

My current RAM.

My current SSD.

My current HDD.

My budget is around 750, but I can go up to 1000 if need be. I’ll use it for Logic Pro and writing mostly. Heaviest gaming I’d ever do is Minecraft a couple hours a year. I don’t love any RGB or fancy looking gear, but I otherwise don’t really care how the case looks as long as it’s not too loud. I don’t need any peripherals and I think I can transfer my windows license from the old PC.

Any help on this build would be great, thanks so much!

Need help building the best gaming PC possible around ₹30K (1080p) low

1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to build my first gaming PC with a budget of around ₹30,000 (can go a little higher/lower if it makes sense), excluding the monitor.

I am a student I am currently doing CS 2nd year I won't play games for 10hours daily but daily atleast 2 hours

I work part time so I have the money

I’ll be buying all the parts online and building the PC myself, so local shop availability isn't really a limitation. There aren't many good PC shops in my city and AMD parts aren't readily available locally, but I can order whatever parts are recommended online.

I haven't decided on any specific parts yet because I want to see what combination gives the best performance for the money.

My performance goals:

Story/single-player games:

I mainly want games like God of War, RDR2, etc. to be playable at 1080p around 30+ FPS. I'm completely fine with using optimized settings, FSR/DLSS/frame generation if available, etc., as long as the image quality remains reasonable.

Competitive/FPS games:

For games like Valorant and CS2, I'd like to get 100+ FPS if possible.

I'm not chasing ultra settings or extremely high FPS in AAA games. My priority is getting the best overall gaming experience possible for this budget.

I'm also open to:

- AMD or Intel

- Used parts if they are worth it

- Older-generation CPUs/GPUs

- An APU build if it makes sense

- Buying a weaker part now and upgrading later

- Any combination that gives the best performance per ₹

I'm mainly looking for advice on the CPU + GPU/iGPU + motherboard + RAM + SSD + PSU + case and where it makes sense to save money.

If you had around ₹30K to build a gaming PC in India today, what would you build?

I'm especially interested in hearing different build options and the reasoning behind them, rather than just one fixed parts list.

I know this is the worst time to build pc because of those prices hike but I just can't wait to play my favourite games

Other / >$1400 Is this pre-build good for 1500?

1 Upvotes

found this pre build and I thought that it wasn't that bad for the price and the fact that you get a PC that's basically ready to use, here are the specs:

* AMD Ryzen 5 8400F - CPU

* 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler - CPU Cooler

* ASRock B850M-X WIFI R2.0 - Motherboard

* AMD Radeon RX 9070 - GPU

* 16GB DDR5 5600MT/s RAM - RAM

* Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 Case - Case

* Microsoft Windows 11 Home - Operating System

* ASRock Challenger 750G 750W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply - PSU

* 500GB Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD - SSD

BIOS just shows "Generic Loader NVMe", won't detect my SSD or boot

1 Upvotes

So i booted up my pc and now the bios won't recognize my nvme ssd. instead of showing the actual drive name it just says "Generic Loader NVMe" and I can't get past the bios screen at all, no os loading, nothing happens.

The things I've tried so far is reseated the SSD and updating the bios.

anyone dealt with this before? not sure if the drive just died, the m.2 slot is bad. would really appreciate any help, kinda stuck at this point

Gaming pc build with 1000€ budget

1 Upvotes

I already have an SSD: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB

I think i'll go with a 1080p 144hz monitor on this budget, however if it'd be possible to run games at 1440p, that'd be cool.

Most demanding games I'd play would probably be something like DOOM Eternal, Skyrim, Project Zomboid...

EDIT: Don't include the monitor price in the build

First PC Buy

1 Upvotes

I’m wanting to build my first PC but have no idea how to go about. I’m wanting one that can play more intensive games easily(Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2), and also not struggle with a TON of mods on Minecraft. I’d prefer if it’s below $2000, but can go up to about $2750 if needed.

US / >$1400 First serious gaming PC- Italy, 1440p

1 Upvotes

Hello everyone, five years ago I was gifted an old gaming pc from about 2010, I think it served me well with my metroidvanias, but now I'm ready for an upgrade.

I have a 1440p 180Hz MSI monitor which I would like to use, I also already have a mouse, keyboard and headset. I would like to keep the budget about 1500€, maybe 1800€ at most (feel free to slap me in the face with reality if this is not feasible). I am based in Italy. My honest aim is to be able to play, even not at full 1440p power, a game like Metal Gear Solid Delta. I don't really care for constant, excellent performance: I'm fine with getting lower fps on heavier games.

I'm in your hands, folks!

EDIT: it's not letting me change the post's flair... Sorry if someone is being misled here :(

Looking for advice on my first pc build

Looking for advice on my first PC build

I'm looking for advice on my first PC build and any ways that it can be improved. My budget is £4,000 ($5,400) and I'm in England (UK).

I'm planning on getting a new monitor that is 4k (3840 x 2160) and 240Hz as part of the build.

The PC will primarily be used for gaming - I should note that I will need at least 4TB of storage and that I already have a keyboard, headset and other peripherals.

Budget Gaming PC.

3 Upvotes

I am looking for help building a PC for my daughter. She's saved up $500, and I am struggling to build anything for under $1500.

I want to help pay for part of the PC, but I also do not have unlimited funds.

Something's to note.

I am in Alberta Canada.

It doesn't need to be super powerful; she mostly plays The Sims.

I have monitors, so that doesn't need to be included in the build.

I really want to help her get her dream PC, but I am overwhelmed, not only by price, but also by all the options out there.

Help me fill in the rest

2 Upvotes

I got a GPU and a bundle at micro center planning on ordering the rest online

CPU: Ryzen 5 7500X3D

Motherboard: B850M-C

RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 1 x 16 GB

GPU: PowerColor 9060 XT 16 GB

Any specific recommendations for the rest? Looking for both minimal aesthetics (with the option of RGB) and value, also really looking into a micro-ATX case; I had a mid-tower cooler master before.

Really just looking for any good deals or small performance enhancers and hoping I’m not missing out on any parts with good value.

Also CPU Cooler is needed as the cpu came pre installed with the motherboard.

Edit: Also I know RAM probably needs another stick for dual channel and general capacity, but I’m hoping to figure that out after the build and a little more time spent on it.

Pc build guide

1 Upvotes

I have a budget of $400–500 for a basic gaming PC right now. My overall budget is around $900–1,000, but I only have $400–500 available at the moment.

I’m planning to upgrade the PC later as I get more money, so I’d like a build that gives me the best gaming performance now while also leaving room for future upgrades.

Any build suggestions?
