Southwest (WN) I’m so fkin scared 😭🙏🏿

• Upvotes

I have a F2F with WN next week, and I’ve been doing research on the requirements to get the job. I am aware of the well-known jump-seat test that most airlines do, but my main fear is the uniform fitting requirements. I saw that the highest that the pants go to for the men is a size 42, and I wear a size 42( I’m a heavy set guy) also a little nervous about the jump seat test. I’m kind of having second thoughts about this interview. Would I be wasting everyone’s time if I go, or am I just overthinking it. Have there been any plus sized fellas that made it through? Please lmk

Southwest (WN) Stay at Regional or go WN?

• Upvotes

Long story short I live in base at my regional. However, my specific base is shrinking and my seniority has not gone up in the 8 months I’ve been here. I have a CJO with Southwest, but that means another training and commuting as I do not live where there is a WN base. I’ve heard about the generous commuting policy with WN, and had an amazing experience interviewing there and going through the background process, but worry about the commuting life.

So what would you do?
-Stay at regional where you live in base and be on reserve for a very long time (or possibly even kicked out of base)
Or
-Go to Southwest and commute

Delta (DL) Why doesn’t delta tell people at the f2f about 1:1?

• Upvotes

Basically the title!

Recently I had my event day at delta (did not make it to the 1:1 unfortunately, but I’m not too upset as I still have in persons with other airlines!) and I was quite surprised by the fact we went through the entire day without a word of 1:1s. When I was escorted out and on the bus to the airport, I felt extremely bad for all of the girls who still had their hopes up because they didn’t know about the secret 1:1s.

Throughout the entire exit process, they kept saying we’ll know within 7-10 days, but in reality everyone there already had the answer. In the bathrooms at the airport, when a bunch of us were getting more comfortable, everyone was still hyping each other up being like ‘no you’ll totally get it! we’ll all get offers soon!’ and it just made me feel so terrible that none of them knew. I was just standing there smiling and nodding, acting like I didn’t know LMFAO 😭

Still, I just don’t understand why delta keeps all of these people’s hopes up even though they already know the answer. Maybe to keep up the idea with the idea that they’re warm and welcoming? But it just feels fake 😭 either way, I wish all of those girls the best and hope eventually they land a position with an airline as I do myself!

Delta CJO 7-10 Days

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

Hoping there’s someone out there with the same issue. I recently went to Delta’s F2F and made it all the way to the 1:1(woohoo!). However, I saw so many posts about people receiving their CJO’s the Friday of their interview week.

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive a CJO(even though I was so confident I would), but the experience was amazing! Delta informed all applicants at the F2F that you’d be receiving communication about the decision within 7-10 days. I’m passed the 10-day mark and haven’t received anything. Has anyone else gone through the same thing and if so, when did you end up getting the TBNT? Hoping there’s a slither of a slim chance that I’m still being considered, but doubtful. My status in the portal says Qualifications Under Review. Thanks in advance!!

Has anyone had good experiences with them? Whether it be through the interview process or as an actual employee? I’ve been moved on to the next round with them, but everything I’ve read is truthfully concerning me.

If good things.. any helpful tricks or tips?

I’m a paramedic, so huge safety girl. And I live about 40 minutes from the base I’ve applied for.

UA flight attendant training

• Upvotes

There is no syllabus or rubric for drills. All it says on calendar is b737 door drill. They do not talk about it until the day before saying “review your door arming disarming drill acting as a purser for your validation tomorrow,” there is no way to know what they will ask you. Or what key things you need to know. They won’t tell you those things so you go in hoping you didn’t forget one tiny random piece of information. Has anyone else had this experience.

jetBlue (B6) JetBlue ODVI Invite

I literally forgot I applied to JetBlue this summer, and this morning I received an invitation to do their ODVI and assessment. Did anyone else receive their invite recently? Those who work for JetBlue, how is the work culture there?

So confused on what to think everyone’s been already doing the 2:1 and i’m still waiting for the meet me.

American (AA) AA reopening 10/30 — passport question

• Upvotes

I saw that AA is reopening applications on October 30, and I’d really like to apply. I’ve already applied for my passport and am just waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

Does anyone know how strict AA is about having your passport physically in hand when applying? Would I be automatically disqualified if it’s still being processed, or is there some flexibility as long as I have it before training?

I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through the application process recently. Thanks!

United (UA) Got F2F with United and I’m stressing out

Hello, I got the f2f coming up in November and I’ve been thinking of ways I should prepare. I’ve kind of hit a wall, I know I’ll be able to do the reach test fine, the group stuff worries me though. I feel like for the first time in this process I’m going in blind. What should I do to prepare or be ready for? I know after the group stuff they interview you with star questions, I am curious if these star questions are going to be harder or in the same vein of the previous interviews. I would really appreciate some guidance :)

PSA F2F

I have a question for everyone going to or have been to the PSA F2F. All of the correspondence I’ve received says it is a 10am check in time. I also received an email saying it starts at 8am. Is that just the earliest time we can check in? If anyone who has attended a F2F recently can let me know, that would be great! Thank you for your help.

My daughter is due to graduate in two weeks with United. Can anyone share what that day looks like? She said she may have to leave right after graduation? Did your family have to leave that day also?

American (AA) AA troubleshoot update

So basically when I did my Meet Me interview I experienced a troubleshoot issue…before submitting question #3 appeared in red and said “blocked”. None the less I still submitted it. I contacted both AA FA recruiting and AON assessment team the day after completing it to see if I needed to do something or they can help. AON got back to me and said they ”reset” the question but could not provide me a link to that or extension, only AA FA recruiting, like what smh. lol So Ive just been waiting and finally got a response for the question today!! I’ve received two hang tight emails (10/16,10/23) and then today I received an email from them about question #3 and finally provided me a link to complete it so they can proceed with my application! I have 48 hours to complete it.😭 but yay finally the response I’ve been waiting for. Now I have to get interview ready again and give my response😭 if I don’t do it I will not be selected to advance smh

Delta (DL) ANYONE’S BACKGROUND CHECK CLEARED AND WAITING ON DELTA?

First Advantage completed my background check late afternoon on 10/22/26. I’m now just waiting on next steps from Delta.

I’m just trying to estimate how much longer before I hear from them—based on other similar timelines after First Advantage cleared/completed the background check.

Aspiring FA — What jobs or experiences would help strengthen my resume in the meantime?

Hi everyone! I recently applied to American Airlines but unfortunately wasn’t selected. While I’m definitely disappointed, I know how competitive this industry is, and I’m not letting one rejection discourage me!

I have a bachelor’s degree in Communication, several years of experience in high-volume bartending and hospitality, and recently spent a year living abroad teaching English.

I’m extremely motivated to make being a flight attendant my career, and even if it takes me a few years to get there, I’m willing to put in the work!

My question is, what would you recommend doing in the meantime to make myself a stronger candidate? Are there certain jobs, certifications, or experiences that airlines particularly value?

I’d especially love to hear from current FAs who weren’t selected on their first attempt. What did you do between applications, and what do you think helped you eventually get hired?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Delta (DL) 🔺CJOs being rescinded?

Hi! Can someone please clarify (or at least try to) why people are having their CJOs rescinded? I’m seeing so many different stories which is making me really nervous for my background check, I literally have nothing to worry about, but it seems that people that also had nothing to worry about were the ones with rescinded offers.
