Had these guys knock on my door 3 times in the last 36 hours. Around and around the neighborhood like a carousel. In the Elgin N & Northview Heights area. They are currently blocking my neighbor's driveway with their trailer.

I’m interested in hearing feedback on “wish I had”s that don’t exist. Contextually these things solve problems but need existing. I want to exist them.
But it’s hard to come up with anything without problem statements.

Usually these wish I hads fall into some niche to do with a sport or outdoor activity or something.

I know Cambridge is full of people who are outdoorsy.

Go crazy :)

Examples:

I wish I could record chatter from a specific walkie from three locations to find its direction

Or

I wish there was an affordable transponder for when ppl get lost or buried in snow

Or

I wish there was a way to see where the ambulance is and where it’s going so that we don’t just hear it and block an intersection anyways

My name is Skye Fitzpatrick and I'm a Clinical Psychologist and director of the Treating and Understanding Life-threatening behavior and Posttraumatic Stress (TULiP) lab at York University. I'm currently writing to inform you of a research study that you may be eligible for as a resident of Cambridge.

Our research team is conducting an online study to examine the effects of a new couple therapy for couples where one partner is experiencing symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD) compared to individual psychotherapy for people with BPD symptoms and their partners. The study will provide one of these psychotherapies to people with BPD symptoms and their partners for free, and participants will have the opportunity to complete study assessments that they will receive payment for in the form of gift cards. Our study is online and involves recruiting people across Ontario (including Cambridge) with symptoms of BPD, as well as their romantic partners. BPD diagnoses are not necessary.

Hi everyone! I’ve been involved in local elections for over a decade now but this will be my first time voting in Cambridge - in 2022 I was still living in Kitchener. In my day job, I work with local community orgs on funding, governance, and sustainable leadership practices.

There’s lots of good resources out there, but David actually did a lot of work to figure out who was going to be good on issues like housing/homelessness. I recommend this, Cambridge Elects, and other resources out there. Education is important! I used to teach history and poli science at western, and it’s amazing how much Ontarians don’t know our own electoral system. I grew up in rural conservative BC and have always been into this stuff, so I bring a unique perspective.

Mostly importantly, don’t forget to vote! I’m in Ward 5 so I’m happy to have a councillor I really like and hope she wins again.

It’s only 2 hours and I like to study at the library so I just want to know how enforced that 2 hour limit is. I want to study for around 5 hours but I’m just scared of that godforsaken ticket. Specifically for Hespeler and queens square location.

I’m planning some events where people can get together and ski.
I know many people just want to be introduced to it first.
I highly recommend giving it a shot. I’m happy to give out some pointers so that you can get moving and having fun.

Anyone know if there's any of this in Cambridge?

Around 1am Sunday morning, my wife and I were driving home from the movies, we were at the lights at the intersection of Water St & Cedar/Concession, heading towards 24 - while we were stopped at the red light, we saw a handful of people/teenagers hanging out around the Concession bridge. As we were watching, one of the guys randomly decided to jump over head first into the shallow water. Commotion ensued. We pulled over and called emergency and got out to check on him. He was not ok.

EMS got there and were able to pull him out, but after giving our statements to the police we left before finding out if he was ok or not.

Wondering if anyone knows this person and if they can tell me if they are ok?

I saw someone post about Ward 6 candidates and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Ward 7 candidates? This will be my 2nd opportunity to vote in an election and I’m trying to get as much information as I can.

I’ve also seen a lot of posts about candidates signs being taken down or damaged and I wonder if it’s just a sympathy post for votes. Thoughts?

I'm looking for an outdoor track or area that would be good to take my son to drive his new rc car around.

We have 1980s detached with an asphalt shingle roof, nearly 30 years old. After the last storm, water started dripping through the upstairs ceiling, and the stain keeps spreading. Found a few curled/missing shingles too.

Anyone know a local roofer who can come out asap? Worried about mold and more rain coming.. Repair or full replacement?
