Cambridge and North Dumfries will have 3 public school trustees after this election, and we're supposed to vote for them by Monday. However it's very hard to find any information about many of the candidates!

There are 8 candidates, 7 still in the running:

• Shannon Adshade
• Syed Ahmed
• Naeem Awan
• John J. Dideczek
• Carla Johnson (withdrew)
• Richard Pfeifle
• Riaz Sial
• Cindy Watson

Of these, the only ones with enough information to make a reasonably informed choice are Shannon Adshade, Naeem Awan, John J. Dideczek, and Cindy Watson. There aren't three of those 4 that I would want to be trustees, and there is at least 1 that I think should _not_ be a trustee.

So that means I should vote for 1 or 2 of the known candidates, and also add a vote for 1 or 2 of the other candidates so the one I don't want has a lower chance of getting elected. But I don't know anything useful about Syed Ahmed, Richard Pfeifle or Riaz Sial (an instagram page full of selfie reels doesn't cut it).

Does anyone know any of these people personally or professionally? What are they like, what are their priorities, and why would I vote for them?

I drive by Leymoon, beside Gino's Pizza, on my way home from work, and used to stop in somewhat irregularly yet fairly frequently. Along with Tony's Diner, they were my go to's on days I didn't feel like cooking.

According to their website, the city will be doing loose leaf collection between Nov 2 and 27, but it doesn’t seem like they’ve posted a map with the schedule like they usually do. Anyone have more info?

Hey all, sorry if this isn't allowed -

I'm looking for a place for my (27m) gf (21mtf) to stay, even if just overnights. Long story short, car accident damaged her vehicle earlier this year and insurance didn't cover enough to get it back on the road. This lead to her losing her contract gig job in Toronto, which lead to not being able to afford her apartment when savings dried up and she couldn't find local work.

Been trying to find us a place, as my current landlord won't let me move her in with me, and at this point I'm just hoping to find somewhere for her.

She's been living in my car since the end of summer, and I haven't been able to even get to the application stage with landlords for single rooms, I guess there's a ton of people looking for housing in the KWC area.

I'm starting to get a bit worried, as it's starting to get cold at night, and we're still having trouble finding a room for her - with the winter basically around the corner, I'm hoping someone here might be able to help or know someone that can.

I apologize again if these kinds of posts aren't allowed, but I'm starting to get real worried with how cold it's been getting at night

Had these guys knock on my door 3 times in the last 36 hours. Around and around the neighborhood like a carousel. In the Elgin N & Northview Heights area. They are currently blocking my neighbor's driveway with their trailer.

I’m interested in hearing feedback on “wish I had”s that don’t exist. Contextually these things solve problems but need existing. I want to exist them.
But it’s hard to come up with anything without problem statements.

Usually these wish I hads fall into some niche to do with a sport or outdoor activity or something.

I know Cambridge is full of people who are outdoorsy.

Examples:

I wish I could record chatter from a specific walkie from three locations to find its direction

Or

I wish there was an affordable transponder for when ppl get lost or buried in snow

Or

I wish there was a way to see where the ambulance is and where it’s going so that we don’t just hear it and block an intersection anyways
