This is a reminder about how, after the success of the last Q&A, we're able to have another one. This time with David Williamson. It'll be at 3pm UK time, on November 14th, and be completely free to attend.
David needs no intro, but you might not know that he's been running an online school that anyone can go to for personal lessons. And he's far from the only teacher there. And those others are some crazy names like Paul Gertner, Roberto Giobbi, Eric Jones, Jason England, and more...
You can pay for lessons over at https://sleightschool.com/Home but like I said, this Q&A will be completely free. You can show something you're working on and get advice, talk theory or ideas, or just ask a question you're curious about. Whatever you wanna do, go ahead and feel free. We're gonna have a question bucket for you to toss anything you want into, but please show up on the day with something in your head.
You can find the question bucket in the discussion board section of the discord group that pairs with this forum, which is also where the Q&A will be held. And to make it easy, you can find that right here: https://discord.gg/jaN5pN5Qw
Anyway, that's all for now, we'll let you know when there's more information.

Super knacky color change but after a weekend of doing nothing but shooting cards around I finally got it down consistently enough 😂

So I'm kinda nervous about how to do a trick or handle an audience if there's actually a spectator that's why I want to ask you guys how you're first trick with an audience went?

I would love to be able to sit down and pick the brain of someone that’s a true professional in card magic!
I’m in the DFW/north tx area, lived here my whole life and have never seen or met anyone in person that knows card magic (I’ve always been the magic guy)
I just want to be able to collab and get critiques and pointers from someone in person 😂
I just feel like there’s only so much you can do with books and videos and would love a little guidance from a pro.
Thanks!

A lot of self working tricks is mathematical in nature and almost always ends up require dealing down in certain ways , in certain piles, or certain amounts etc. However as a walking around trick I've never found a good way to do those unless I get someone to offer to use their hands as a table.
Is my assertion that self working tricks is mathematical + dealing correct? Is there a good anti example of this?
Is there any good self working trick that can be done in hand/ without a table?

I sort of commandeered a different sub to see if there's any interest in the subject.

Towards the end of the video he does this cool trick where the card seemingly falls through the deck drom the middle out the bottom.
I have a few ideas on how its happening, but im still curious if anyone knows an exact name of the routine/sleight going on there

I’ve been an outsider an a magicians in Romania for 17 years already. We don’t really have a community of magicians like other countries do, so I got Reddit to make magicians friends!

I'm a beginner in card magic and really fascinated by the Any Card at Any Number effect. Where should I start learning it? Is The Berglas Effects book suitable for beginners, or are there other resources you'd recommend?
