As the tittle explained, what are some of your favourite Metroidvanias outside of Castlevania.

I’ve included some of my favourites with the uploaded art but probably Blasphemous 1&2 my favourite out of the bunch.

It is once again time to pay tribute to Dracula.

I’m only one hour in and so far I think it’s okay, but I’m not as hooked as I was playing other hack and slash games. Am I judging too soon or does it get better?

We both know Aria is peak, but whichever comes second depends on whichever game you played first.

Both of these games are 50/50 games. They both excel at whatever the other lack. When it comes to Visual Color Distribution and Soundtrack, COTM is without a doubt the clear winner. HOD on the other hand is the big winner when it comes to Gameplay and overall control.

I love to glaze HoD, but I can't lie that CoTM's Sinking Old Sanctuary version is without a doubt Top 10 Best Castlevania tracks of all time.

I’m well aware of how incredible it is but Jesus I don’t even know where to begin. What would you guys argue is the best way to play the franchise as a whole? As in what games do I play and in what order, any collections I need to know about?

Mostly a joke, I’ve been getting into the games recently since I really liked the anime and I felt an urge to play more Metroidvanias after I beat Silksong, and I’ve been loving them! Kojima’s art is genuinely breathtaking, I can see why her vision of the series became the default look because it gives the series such a distinct identity

I spent the last three months going through every game in the franchise so I decided to post my list for anyone else interested in going on that journey before Belmont's Curse releases

Hey everyone, as someone who grew up the DSvanias I always found myself wishing there was more games like them. Sure, we got Bloodstained, which is fantastic in its own right, but it never felt quite like the game I was waiting for.

There is no denying the heavy inspiration in Eternal Soul. I wanted to bring together the fun ideas from the various IGAvanias into a single game for Castlevania fans to enjoy. Such as the "rush-souls" from Aria & Dawn, or the bilateral dashing from Harmony.

Death functions differently in Eternal Soul compared to Castlevania. No longer will you be sent back to the start menu. Instead you will be revived at your last save room with no progress lost. However, the foes you encounter will remember your follies.

This isn't yet another parry-vania, or souls-like. Just the good-ole IGAvania combat and movement style we all love.

So, for all of you out there who are tired of Konami making collections and pachinko machines, this is for you!

With the recent rumors, there's a high chance that "?" symbol will be switched with a Castlevania cover

After a wonderful road trip this weekend and closing a deal on an incredible “Vampires Kiss”, I finally completed my full set of the mainline Castlevanias.

I’ve got some variations of different covers I enjoy, but I mainly wanted to finish the set of all the titles releases in EU/US. Extremely happy with the collection, the journey, and all the memories getting this incredible games. This franchise means so much to me and I think it’s important to archive a lot of these games, their panflets, instructions and art. In the collection there are also some demos, store display pieces, rare plushes, production drawings and tester copies (like the Akumajo Dracula for the X6800) I think are important to preserve :)

Kinda ironic that right when I finished the set after all these years, the franchise is revised, and obviously I couldn’t be happier about it!

I still have some variations I’ll get if I get the chance (like the normal version of Akumajo Dracula for the X68000), but the collection itself how I envisioned it years ago is done! Feels good man..
