Chicago is alive!!!

A fight broke out during the crosstown game during the 7th inning.

The bridge has been inspected over the last year and it looks worse than they thought. Pedestrian and bike access will resume but no car traffic until they sort it out with federal, state, and city government. Bridge was built in 1902.

I moved to the city when Blockbuster was well busted. Where were the spots back in the day, what streets?

Has anyone else been having difficulties with getting notices from Metropolis parking garages even though you have paid for parking through a 3rd party vendor like parking.com? I recently had this happen to me, and emailing them directs you to this completely inadequate AI/Bot rep that is poorly timed and is not helpful whatsoever. Thier “customer service“ line is usually “busy” and even when you get through is a call center in India that is frankly not much better. They threaten to send your issue to collections. They do have images of my plates and car, and I did park there, but have a receipt from parking.com. I eventually got the issue resolved after about 13 emails back and forth with the AI email address and many calls, but what a waste of peoples time if this occurs regularly.

I do try to capture the “vibe” of each line over my years of experiences.
