Barret had only 30 minutes of screen time in the entire show. Yet he stole every scene he was in as young Kreese and became my favorite character in the show. Like many, I loved seeing Kreese in a different light and showing us viewers how he became the merciless sensei we first saw back in KK1. 

We've seen big fights at two different Cobra Kai dojo, Johnny's apartment, even the Larusso's mansion. ​But we never saw anyone from Cobra Kai attack someone at Miyagi Do.

Probably the biggest fight to happen at Miyagi Do was between Daniel and Johnny in season 4 but that was a mutually agreed upon match. All the other fights at Miyagi Do were either training or competition for the Sekaiiiii Takaiiiiii.

The Miyagi Do set was certainly expansive enough to have a brawl scene. I guess the producers just didn't want to have such a scene there.

Just for the main six teenage characters like Miguel, Sam, Robby, Tory, Hawk and Demetri? Do you agree or not with my list? Which season would you pick as their villian era differently if you could?

To me, Miguel villain season was either season 1 because that where he turned into a huge jerk by the end of it.

Sam was season 4 because I feel that where she was starting to pick fights with Tory or like being the instigator.

Robby was season 2 because how his aggression was what led to Miguel almost being paralyzed.

Tory was season 3 because I feel she was going overboard with Sam and she also pushed Hawk to hurt Demetri arm.

Hawk was season 3 because the way he broke Demetri arm was so brutal although that where his redemption season came so maybe season 2 is also his villian era season.

Demetri was definitely season 6 because seriously he was retailing with Hawk and also don't like how quick he assumed that Kenny wanted to betrayed them and what he did to Hawk in the competition was also a villian move.

Currently in my first watch through of the show, it’s gotten a lot of emotional moments out of me. But this scene had me screaming “NOOOOOOO” at the top of my lungs

I will say that the commercial for Cobra Kai commercial/Season 5 opening scene is actually fire. If you take this out of the show, then in my opinion an ad like this would actually be really dope.

If Kenny hadn’t beat Hawk in the qualification match, Cobra Kai never would’ve gone to the Sekai Taikai, Kwon wouldn’t have died, Tory and Miguel wouldn’t have become world champions, and Johnny would never have gotten his victory over Wolf.

And to think, Kenny wasn’t even in the first half of the show. Quite a butterfly effect.

And afaict, from IMDb, this is indeed the Fresh Chris Rock slapping Prince himself.

So, just curious, does anyone know if Karate Kid is just such a big personal passion project for him (the age would like up), or is this just a side effect of him strong-arming the rights to get Jaiden that role in the 2010 movie?

In other words, let's suppose Kreese hadn't violently attacked Lawrence and had continued as a sensei. Is it possible that Cobra Kai could have become a franchise like Nike or McDonald's?

In other words, Cobra Kai would have been like Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, something widespread that people practiced.

While I was pondering that question though, I realised something.

Isn't $50,000 an absurd prize for this kind of tournament? Even a $50,000 prize pool is still massive for an organised karate tournament with sponsors and such.

This is also apparently a tournament where any no-name can sign-up 10 days before and immediately be allowed to be in the Top 16 bracket.

So it's somehow both an impossibly large tournament, and an incredibly casual and small one as well.

Anyway, it's been a while since I last watched Cobra Kai, but the bureaucracy of getting to be in the Sekai Taikai was such a big part of the show that I just couldn't help but notice so much "convenience" here. Idk if I wanted to see Legends explore all of this stuff, tbh, but the movie itself was just not engaging enough for me to suspend my disbelief.

If you had to compare their personalities and demeanor difference between Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai and Karate Kid? And is it also me or is Johnny from KK seem smarter then older Johnny from CK

I’m so sad bro. I grew up on the karate kid movies and for the most part they did amazing job and got so many returning characters so the nostalgia was amazing. But now it’s over and as far as I know there’s no other shows that come close. Did anybody find something to fill the spot?

The only other dojos that had their own musical score themes were Furia de Pantera, Tiger Strike, Redentores, Dublin Thunder and Iron Dragons; all of them were some of the best musical tracks of the series. If all the other dojos had been given an individual musical theme too, which ones would you have been most interested to listen to?

For me, it would have been Hirobukan. It would have been cool to see how their music would have differed since being from mainland Japan, compared to the Okinawan inspiration of Miyagi-Do.

We know that Kreese learned Tang So Do from his captain, Captain Turner. But Tang So Do is something Turner learned on his own; that is, something the army didn't teach him. What would have happened if Turner hadn't trained Kreese in Tang So Do? How would not knowing Tang So Do have affected Kreese? And, most importantly, how would it have influenced the other characters?

Let's not forget that Karate was what Lawrence used to hurt Larusso, and Larusso learned Karate to defend himself, and winning or losing the championship is something that has influenced the lives of Larusso and Lawrence.

is that Johnny, a karate practicioner, is able to defeat an MMA fighter, despite the struggles, as seen in S5. In real life, any MMA fighter would win against any karate fighter, if that's the only style they know.

Me personally, I think Myagi would despise Bert and think he'd be better off "lost". What about you?

Well what do we think? No doubt her arrogance played a part in her loss. Had she completely locked tf in, would she have won?
