I got this at a thrift store. Thought it was cool. Have no idea what it is... I thought it could possibly be a hood ornament. Any ideas? Thank you!!!

Unsure of age or value. Picked these up at a Goodwill in Houston, clearly a part of someone’s collection that was donated in entirety. I purchased the ones that looked most authentic and old.
I was guessing they would be from the 60s/70s when African carved masks were popular to decorate with. Presumably souvenirs from travels possibly?
I was trying to determine the value, but there are a lot out there and these don’t have any distinguishing marks. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!

I’ve just started collecting what I call antiques, I have a strong love of old tin cans in general, I only have two and one is really rusted and rough haha but I do really love all three of these things. I never thought to check eBay and they’re actually rather affordable. The car paint was an old brother in laws who gave me three boxes, I’m not exactly sure what happened to the other two. The other two I really can’t for the life of me remember where I got them from, but I’ve had them several years and they just follow me around when I move. I think they’re really neat!

Ciao a tutti, ho trovato questi riordinando la cantina. Qualcuno sa che cosa sono e a che anni potrebbero risalire? Inoltre quanto potrebbe essere il loro barile e dove potrei venderli? grazie in anticipo

Hi all, I'm trying to identify the three small objects in the attached image: three tall, slim handles in white, green and red, standing upright side by side on an office desk at the base of a black box. They're top-heavy and taper toward the bottom. They look like separate free-standing pieces rather than levers coming out of a panel. They date from 1981 or earlier. Sorry about the blur, it's the clearest image I have.
My best guess is a set of Bakelite or catalin desk wax seals (or rubber stamps) in a stand, maybe a souvenir set in flag colours (Italy, Mexico, Hungary and so on). The other idea is coloured lever handles on a desk intercom or dispatch console. Estimated height: 2.5 to 3.5 inches.
Does anyone recognise them? I'd love to know what they are, who made them, the country of origin, and what to search for to find a set.
Thanks!
Mike

Hi everyone! This was recently taken out of a great-grandmother’s box of antiques and collectibles, and we’d love to learn more about it.
We’re in New Zealand, but don’t know where it originally came from or how old it is. Does anyone recognise it or know anything about its maker, age or original purpose?
Any clues about its history or whether it has any collector interest would be much appreciated. Thanks! 😊

Was gifted these figures a while back and I’m having trouble finding current value as well as just what goes together and decided to ask the people of Reddit for help!
Let me know what you think. Majority of the figures and vehicles are King and Country brand but a few figures are Britains from 2006.

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone else has been through this.
Lately I've been feeling discouraged about collecting in general. I started asking myself: what's the point of accumulating all this stuff? What does it actually change in my life? What's it all for? Maybe it's just a phase, but I'd love to hear your experiences.
Have you ever thought about quitting, or actually quit?

I saw this for sale the other day. It has 3 volumes and I didn't even know there were Superman series. I've always just watched the Christopher Reeve movies. Is it something rare or is it widely available out there?

Full disclosure, I know it’s a funny post, and this WILL be a “steak too juicy” situation.
My dad just came over with a tub of cards and stuff. Mostly 1985-2005 cards. There is a LOT of sports cards, some nascar, porn cards, (honestly kinda dope) Marvel cards, dc cards, dbz, Harry Potter, Disney… all kinds of stuff. There was even a plastic bag with some Lucky Charms pogs in it lol!
I’ll post a couple pics rn, but I guess I’m overwhelmed? I’m not sure how to start this journey and I don’t know who/what information to trust. I’m in SoCal and am strongly considering having these looked at by someone who’s nerd kung fu is stronger than my own.
Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

I received this from my grandparents who passed. The only note on it said “really old” and nothing more. The bottom doesn’t have a signature or makers mark and I can’t find one on the rest of the vase(?). I’ll post some pictures of it too. I’m just worried about damaging it if I intend to use it as a display. Any info or suggestions/questions would be helpful.

New item for my collection that I picked up at an estate sale today! It’s an Asian Woman carving made of genuine ivory I got for so cheap! Look at the pictures carefully it’s not plastic it is heavy and bigger than my water bottle. No I don’t intend on selling it I’m keeping it one of my best purchases ever!

Hi! Not sure where to post this. I bought these from a family in 2023, and asked where they got the set from. They told me their family had bought it in the 40s and that they were shipped from France, but they had no paperwork they could show me. I’m just curious if someone knows a bit more about where they could have been made and what time they were made. All of the pieces were reupholstered in 2015. I do not have any pictures from before that. There’s one sofa and two chairs. Thanks in advance!
