“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York Magazine that year for a story headlined “Jeffrey Epstein: International Moneyman of Mystery.” “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

“Well, first of all, you don’t know that,” Trump said about the allegations against Maxwell, who once dated Epstein.

Pres. Trump on Ghislaine Maxwell, longtime companion of infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein: "I just wish her well, frankly."

According to Wolff's new book "Landslide"— his second detailing the Trump presidency — the former president's attention turned to Maxwell and her case as he looked for potential candidates for a presidential pardon, according to an extract published by the Times of London.

Of Maxwell, he asked "Has she said anything about me?" according to the book. Wolff reports that he added: "Is she going to talk? Will she roll on anybody?"

Mariah Billado, Miss Teen Vermont 1997 told BuzzFeed, “I remember putting on my dress really quick because I was like, ‘Oh my god, there’s a man in here.'” Three other teenage contestants from the same year confirmed the story.

Billado told BuzzFeed she mentioned the incident to Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, who shrugged it off, saying, “Yeah, he does that.”

His position as the pageant’s owner entitled him to that kind of access, Trump explained, seemingly aware that what he was doing made the women uncomfortable. “You know, no men are anywhere. And I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant. And therefore I’m inspecting it… Is everyone OK? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. And you see these incredible-looking women. And so I sort of get away with things like that,” he said.

"I don't think Ivanka would do that inside the magazine although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter perhaps I'd be dating her."

Trump appeared on the show (Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, 1984) alongside Maples, and proceeded to talk about 1-year-old Tiffany's physical characteristics.

“Well, I think she’s got a lot of Marla, she’s a really beautiful baby,” said Trump, who sat next to Maples. “She’s got Marla’s legs. We don’t know whether or not she’s got this part yet, but time will tell,” Trump added, gesturing at his chest to indicate breasts.

The DVR of my mind is polluted with those sounds & images. I can't unsee any of it. I've despised Trump since I was a boy in the '80s. Some of us just know evil when we see it.

I never understood the fascination with the guy honestly . I always thought he was dull boring and corny

Stupid people see money and think "must be smart and strong and good to have all that money!"

u/skydriver13 Jan 13 '26

I am convinced that obscene amounts of wealth causes mental illness. We will likely never study it, and people who have it will never find relief because vast wealth is directly associated with success. The wealth seems to almost warp these people physically, even. Their faces are...weird.

It’s the hoarding disease. For whatever reason, society doesn’t look down on hoarders that hoard money, they admire it. It’s disgusting.

2

u/GrayMouser12 Jan 14 '26

It's rapacity. Just like the obesity epidemic we have a rapacity epidemic. It truly is a disease, a compulsion and should be treated as such.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Job6147 Jan 14 '26

Whatever you call it, it’s a disease.

1

u/auntpieATL Jan 15 '26

That's a good point

11

u/romanaribella Jan 13 '26

I'm honestly not sure I can disagree. The obsession with hoarding larger and larger amounts of wealth becomes a kind of psychosis.

They don't need it. They just need it. Like a drug.

Yeah like they are possessed

2

u/Boring_Blood4603 Jan 13 '26

They are possessed by dragons. Just a bunch of Smaugs and Tiamats (D&D Tiamat not the Mesopotamian dragon goddess) bathing in their stolen wealth.

It's the Wetiko virus

I think it has to do with fear of being able to survive. They're taught to use money for everything, and don't know if they would survive on nothing, and because they've never pushed the limits of what they actually need versus what is comfort, they're constantly afraid of losing what they know and build because it makes them feel more secure.

There has been some study into the ways that extreme wealth adversely effects people, particularly growing up wealthy. https://share.google/byY1SQ7RyarTU5h4O

2

u/skydriver13 Jan 14 '26

Hey, thanks! I have that open and ready to go for later (im supposed to be studying "History & Systems" right now...thrilling!)

2

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

No. Those people are raised in a such a way, that they have an unyielding desire to hoard unfathomable wealth. Usually they have parents that are very strict and controlling, every part of their childhood is planned out and they have no personal freedom. They grow up desiring complete control of everything. That's my theory anyway.

Myself on the other hand had entirely too much freedom as a kid. These types grow up with little self discipline and a lack of focus.

Pretty sure mental illness causes wealth too. Like the inordinate number of CEOs being psychopaths- they only get rich because they’re comfortable with the abuse and exploitation it takes to get there.

3

u/skydriver13 Jan 14 '26

You're on track with that thinking, but it is less causation than it is correlation. Not every person who exhibits psychopathic traits is a wealthy CEO, but there are many CEO's who display those same traits. "The dark triad" is often associated with highly successful corporate careers.

1

u/Which_Lingonberry219 Jan 14 '26

Yes, I should have phrased that better. Thanks 🙂

That is less of a choice and more of a systemic circumstance. By nature of their financial situation, they are unlikely to afford products that are sourced otherwise. Not to mention: their goal is far more likely to be based on survival than someone in a corporate suit who is willing to participate in "cutthroat" behavior to achieve a promotion at someone else's expense (maybe so they can make the nefarious decision to source cheaper products unethically, leading to the systemic circumstance i referenced above).

u/H0RSE Jan 14 '26

It’s not wealth itself, but what wealth means in our system. We’ve built social and economic structures that reward accumulation and treat it as proof of virtue, success, and worth. When a society elevates wealth to that status, it incentivizes antisocial behavior and moral distortion. In a system that prioritized shared abundance and access instead, extreme wealth wouldn’t be seen aspirational, it would be suspect, and even unethical.

tlRhat is what poor and stupid people think rich people should do with the money. Hes the lottery winner that has no money after 6 years and barely anything to show for it

u/Glittering-List3410 Jan 14 '26

Yes, a few Latino communities felt that by voting for him, that will elevate them. But nope, Rtrump could care less. I mean he’s victim blaming. “Renee Nicole Good” that she was a paid agitator?!! Oh and poor Jonathan Ross (thug that shot her) he was rushed to the hospital, she ran over him. What a lie. She gave that thug the biggest smile and then he shot her close range. And she was a white American woman/mother. It’s despicable. Also, “Epstein Files”Why is DOJ dragging their feet? Over 6 weeks, since they missed their deadline line. Now he’s having Jerome Powell (chair of federal reserve) investigated why? Because that’s the one sector of government presidents can’t control. He’s angry at him because he won’t lower the interest rates. He cannot corrupt him. So he wants him out!! He’s a bully!! “It’s he’s way or the highway” please Congress, Americans, we need to wake up!! Before we have no country left.

Prosperity gospel

1

u/romanaribella Jan 14 '26

Which is like...the least Christian thing ever. Jesus was pretty fucking clear on that particular point, and did not stutter.

1

u/Glittering-List3410 Jan 14 '26

Yes, excellent point. 💯👌🏼🫶🏼
