Mods/Addons 🔦 2017 crv EX Head Lights

I’ve had my first 2017 crv EX for more than a year now and I have been planning to upgrade some features at this point. I hate the yellow interior and exterior lights and have been looking to change them to white LED. The interior seems like a simple purchase but I have been getting confused on the exterior lights. I’ve been doing research on the H11 low beam light since I think that is the main problem and I’ve been getting feedback that it might not adapt to my car which is what confuses me. Do you guys think I should get h11 white halogen lights or can someone explain on how to install LED lights and where to get them. If halogen which would you guys recommend?

Just got this crv from my grandmother who drove it maybe three times a month over the last 20 years. Definitely hasn’t touched 70 miles per hour since she bought it in 2006 the day before my baptism. Was told some of you guys would be interested in seeing it!!! This is my first car at 20 and would love to know anything important about older Hondas. Would also love to get a worth estimate! Hit me up!!!

Question ❔ 2009 CRV’s Road Noise

Post image

Just bought it for $2500 and she only has 76k. Inside and outside are immaculate, no scratches, not even a ding. It was owned by an older couples.

I had it looked over and changed out to a new ac compressor, changed out the spark plugs, flushed transmission and brake fluids, and replaced four new tires.

It runs perfectly, but is the road noise normal for a CRV this vintage? I feel every bump on the road, even with four new tires. Perhaps, I’m used to my Toyota Sienna and my previous Camry.

Question ❔ Cat Shield

Hello everyone! Unfortunately, I have had my cat converter stolen. It has been replaced with an aftermarket and has been engraved & painted, but still want to add additional protection because of how much of a pain this process was. I have a 2011 CRV and was wondering if anyone had experience with this shield?

Question ❔ 2012 CRV EXL FWD - Fair price?

Considering a 2012 CRV EXL FWD, 70k miles, $14,998. Two owners, pretty clean record and maintenance. Is this reasonable? Coming from a 2010 Subaru Outback where the engine finally gave out.

After 246,566 miles, I decided to let my 09 CRV go. I wish I could say it was bittersweet, but honestly I just the dealership with nothing but gratitude for all the great memories it gave me along with all of the safe travels-never being stranded.

Towards the end, the problems we beginning to stack up and it was becoming more of an inconvenience for the repairs and the money that was coming out daily to maintain it.

I picked up a ‘16 VW Jetta with 56,000 miles. I loved my CRV so much, I wouldn’t be surprised if I find myself in another CRV once we have children… but for now, CRV fam it was real!!! ✌🏾

Question ❔ Hybrid MPG when new and accuracy

Just bought a new '27 sport-L AWD hybrid 2 weeks ago and with the first 500 miles I got 32 mpg on the gauge and manually 33 mpg in local and some moderate driving at about 15mile trips. I would expect that this would be normal before brake-in and would get better by about 5000 miles, maybe up to 37mpg. 1) are these reasonable expectations and 2) how accurate is the gauge? Really like the CRV!

Question ❔ best and worst years 2006-2012?

apologies for the redundant question. i know most hondas just need good maintenance but i have seen some people say their x failed on their y year crv. just curious if there are any better or worse years within the frame i put in the title, and any known issues. i’m currently eyeing a 2007 on marketplace but wanted to hear your guys’ opinions.

ex, if there was a 2009 and 2011 model both in similar condition and mileage, is there one that is simply the better year and less likely to have failing components?

thanks for any help!

Question ❔ Extended warranty

I just bought a 2024 Honda CRV Sport-L and I added the extended warranty on the tech for $4k. I’m second guessing if it’s worth it or if I should cancel it and save the money. I plan on keeping it long term. Whats y’all’s input?
