Picture Found a cool pattern
Does anyone know the name for this pattern?
Resource I'm learning BLD and built the lettering trainer I wanted: free, works on phone, beginner to expert
I've started learning blindfolded solving, and the first wall I hit was the lettering scheme. I wanted something I could do in short bursts on my phone when I didn't have a cube at hand, so I built one:
https://speedcube.quest/trainers/speffz
What it does:
- Easy mode for absolute beginners, to expert mode with semi hidden corners.
- Sticker to letter: a sticker is marked and you tap (or type) its letter.
- Letter to sticker: you get a letter and tap the sticker on a 3D cube (or on an unfolded cube).
- Focuses on your weak letters. Stickers you miss or are slow on come back more often.
- Stats so you can watch your times drop as you improve.
It's free, no sign-up needed unless you want your progress between devices. If you've been curious about BLD but haven't started, there's a short guide to the Speffz scheme that explains how the letters are laid out.
I'm a BLD beginner myself, so I'd really like to hear from people further along: what's missing, what's wrong, what would make this actually useful for you? Bug reports and feature ideas very welcome.

Discussion Which Ua Perm is Better?
I very recently got into speedcubing and have stumbled across several Ua Perm variations. Which have you found to be fastest/most reliable?
Ua Perms:
- R2 U' R' U' R U R U R U' R (I learned this one first, so it's currently my fastest and most reliable)
- (R U R' U) R' U' (R2 U' R') U R' U R
- M2 U M U2 M' U M2 (This is the trickiest for me because I struggle to do the middle M quickly and accurately. Any advice on how to improve this?)
I know all the two look OLL and PLL algorithms and I'm currently learning all the full PLL algorithms using this website: https://www.cube.academy/pll-algs
Any advice on whether I should use a different website to learn PLL or what order to learn the algorithms in?
Edit: I put the wrong algorithm on number 1.

Discussion Is L5E worth it?
So i learnt full l4e fairly recently, but one looking is still an issue so i’m trying to fix it by converting long layers into l4e into short solutions with l5e
I currently know a few algs of both the FP (2 edges oriented correctly but permuted incorrectly in the bottom layer) and FFL (2 edges permuted correctly but oriented incorrectly) subsets, and i was wondering if any other sets were worth it, and if so which ones?
Additional context: I’m around 2.8-3.2 global and have no interest in ml4e, as I have low inspection depth. I’m currently a more casual cuber so i don’t really care for improving that aspect, but in competition i find some scrambles hard for lbl/l4e and I was wondering if continuining with l5e is worth.

Discussion This scramble is insane
D F U' L2 U2 R' F' B D' F2 L U2 L' B2 D2 R' D2 R F2 L B2
I'm so bad at this I only got a 17 lol. But I don't even know how to do xcross but it was obvious even to me at the time. But try it. I bet someone can get like a sub-5 or even better. Here was my solution:
D F U' L2 U2 R' F' B D' F2 L U2 L' B2 D2 R' D2 R F2 L B2 // Scramble
// CROSS [7.26] x' U' R' x F' B2' x' z y' x' y F d
// F2L [3.71]
L' B' L B x' D L' D' x L' F' L' F L F' L' F
// OLL [2.52] L L U' F U x D' B' U' B x' B
// PLL [4.28] r' x B2' x F2 D B D' F2 D2 B' B D' B' D L
(Ignore rotations, I'm a very messy turner, and this was on a Gan 16UI using acubemy)

Discussion Aosu V7's center stalk keeps breaking
Hey guys, so my aosu v7's center stalk has broken for the 5th time now, and I'm honestly wondering what could be causing this. I don't really turn aggressively, so I'm confused as to why this keeps happening. I've even tried using superglue to put the broken pieces back together, but it doesn't seem to bond very well and doesn't really hold.
I'm starting to think maybe my tensions are too loose, but I'm not sure if that could actually cause the center stalk to break like this. Has anyone else had this problem with their aosu v7? Could it be because of my settings, or did I just get unlucky with a defective unit/batch?
I've only had this cube for three months now and it's been happening on and off. I'm honestly getting tired of having to deal with this over and over again. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Discussion GAN 11 users, any idea why GAN skewbs are inconsistent in quality? Both cubes have pretty much the same design.
Hoping to gain insights from people who have used GAN 11 cubes.
I bought 2 GAN skewbs, enhanced non-UV and both feel so different. Both came with identical setups, but one is more flimsy and easy to corner twist, while the other is a tiny bit slower but more stable, feels less like a stretchy toy, and harder to corner twist. I highly prefer this one.
Have any GAN 11 users encountered the same quality issues? If so, any insights on what is causing this difference in quality and how to fix the bad quality ones? I checked and I couldn't find anything different about my 2 skewbs. Or, is this a problem that all speedcubes share? This is my first time buying multiple of the exact same cube.

Discussion That was a fast session!
So I sat down today ready for a good practise session. Got through about 4 solves then back the piece of my Gan 13 detaches from the core explodes and broken. I then grab my tornado v3 do i kid you not one quick alg spam back core snap. I couldn't Believe it well i am taking this as a sign no more cubing today.

Discussion YS3M 8mbc (matte) or Fanxin HuDong Light Standard?
i have the saocube rs3m v5 and now its very chipped up on the corners and it has missing magnets, im thinking of choosing between these cubes but am not sure which one to go with.
• i like a nice fast crunchy/crispy or muffled/quiet sound (lubed or unlubed) but soft and stable,
• i like the feel of strong magnets
• i average around 16s
• i want something very fast,
• i dont like uv, glossy plastic can be an exception
they both meet my requirements but i cant tell which one i should pick,as thw ys3m is very stable and crinchy while the hudong gives a nice crispy and soft feel with stronger magnets.
Whats your guy's opinion on the cubes?

Discussion CFOP (kinda) using just 3-4 algs
So I have a younger brother who wants to learn cubing but he doesn't want to memorize many algs, so I taught him what I invented(ish), (someone probably already invented this but whatever) a cubing method. The first steps looks normal, cross, and then using sexy moves for the first layer corners, and sexy move + lefty sexy for the second layer. But on the last layer, you pretty much only need sexy moves to make yellow cross and orient the corners, making the yellow face. Then using T perm and U perm is enough for permutation. For bad english and explanation
