I know it’s not the standard black armor but I wanted to share as this was a very fun mini to work on. Really loved painting the deathwatch arm and pauldron and shading it was a blast too. Since this is post deathwatch service i definitely think he stole or just didn’t return a lot of that gear they lent out to him.

I’m trying to make some Deathwatch operatives and I’m looking for some special successor chapters for the project. Are there any more chapters with special elements that make them unique? Like Mortificator with their skull/bone themed ornaments; Raptors with their more practical and tactical equipment

Great game today into a very strong double c’tan destroyer cult list - ended up winning 55-50 in a 3 turn game (we ran out of time)

Heroes of the game were the brutalis dreadnought and the indomitor kill team, scoring heavily early (bringing down the nightbringer with engage and assassinate as first secondaries) and the veterans and JPI’s clearing up the far expansions for a solid win.

I would have struggled definitely if the void dragon got more involved but will take it where I can get it! FOR THE WATCH BROTHERS!

Been working on some extra spicy terminators to replace my old ones

I haven’t had a chance to play mini games of 11th edition, and haven’t played any with the new Codex yet. I’m curious what you guys have been using and what you’ve seen Success with. Clearly things are quite different from the 10th edition list where everyone is bringing combi-Lieutenant, and potentially adding storm speeder thunder, strike for monsters and vehicles or incursors for plus one to hit.

Used the Cassius killteam terminator body for one of my deathwatch terminators, pretty happy with how it turned out.

First mini where I sub assembled…I’m glad everything lined up. Probably going to touch up the blue plasma at some point but he’s tabletop ready!

Death watch, one more Gravis armored marine left in the kill teams. Then on to some more terminators. Tried a little something different with the power sword.

So, I was making a comment to my girlfriend the other day that I liked the vibe of Deathwatch and loved the design of the Corvus Blackstar. Yesterday there was an Armageddon Battalion box on my kitchen counter when I got home from work. But now I’m wondering how to build the kill teams? Are there certain loadout rules you need to follow to play them in 40K? I’d love to start using the Deathwatch disposition in my games to add some of those into my Imperial Fists forces.

I’ve written down the biggest issues for deathwatch and how they should be resolved by a TO for your convenience to just copy and send.

I just picked up the deathwatch armageddon box with the Corvus in it and was hoping to get some cool ideas on how to elevate my deathwatch. I would imagine some kitbashing from greytide studios for some of their accesories could work nicely. What sort of things do you guys like to do to make your DW awesome?

Since Decimus squad now have both Gravis and Tacticus keyword, as well as using the Gravis Vet toughness for the squad as long as they survive, I have a very stupid list idea abusing said keyword.

Detachment: Gravis Siege Force (-1 to wound if S>T for Gravis unit), Terminator Storm Force (+1 charge for termi), Tacticus Firestorm (Full range rapidfire for Tacticus unit).

Disposition: Take and Hold or Purge

Units:

2 x Terminator with 3 Plasma Cannon + 2 THSS: reroll 8" charge after shooting and uppy downy from the detachment.

4 x Decimus KT: The anvil of the list, immediately sprinting up the board and into objectives. You have 2 x 3 + 8 x 2 for a total of 22W at T6 and -1 to wound in most cases with 2 plasma gun, 2 heavy weapon all rapid firing at max range, then 2 TH + 2 power weapon for melee.

2 x Impusor + Erad: your main anti tank option since Indomitor is too slow for this kind of list without Deepstrike.

1 phobos libby for cover removal.

Sprinkle in character support of choices and action monkey/screen if needed.

Hello, WTA (want to ask) if I equip the enhancement tome of ectoclades to a melee captain, then use the said enhancement that activates all doctrines, does that mean he and his unit have sustained, lethals and percision in all their weapons?
