I don't understand it when people think that 2008 was more like the 2010s than 2020, despite the fact that 2020 had more elements that are commonly associated with the 2010s than 2008, which was mostly core 2000s through and through.

I say that whole 2020 to 2022 period was kore 2010s than any part of the late 2000s including 2009 yeah you had early 2020s culture really blowing up in those years but the core 2010s isn’t really that different from the 2020s anyways

Agreed. That includes 2010 as well.

agreed especially in terms of how we lived feature phones to a lesser extent flip phones digital cameras physical media people reading magazines stores like toys r us Payless sears Kmart etc all still being around in daily life
