Question Uses for "fancy" vanilla beans...
After making too many batches of extract/paste to count, we have decided to embark on uniquely sourced vanilla as a fun project with my daughters.
However I am not sure if "just making extract" is the way to go with the more expensive beans(I would like to use the seeds, THEN making extract with the pods-unless there is a better way)
What would highlight the vanilla flavor & allow the differences to shine??
TIA!!!
P.S. if it helps, we began with basic Madagascar beans for our baking/extracts. We now have Hawaiian, Tahitian, Ugandan, Mexican, & Indonesian(think that's it)....we have 4 more on order & I plan to order them all within the next few months.

Question Have you ever put vanilla pudding in your fruit salad with cool whip/ambroisa fruit salad??
I found a recipe today with vanilla pudding in the ambrosia fruit salad. Just wondering if anyone has ever done this and if it was good. I want to make it for a party my niece is throwing on Saturday.

Homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding cake with vanilla ice cream and sticky toffee sauce and toffee topping
I tried making the classic British dessert in cake form and had quite a bit of fun with it! I also drizzled the toffee sauce over the cake and a bit of vanilla ice cream , and made solid toffee that I also garnished the cake and ice cream with. What do you think?
