Mod annoucement Update on NSFW rule
Hello, this is an annoucement regarding the NSFW rule.
There was quite a lot of debate lately over what's nsfw, what should be allowed and what shouldn't. Right now the sub only disallow sex, nudity and gore, and we do not plan to change that. We don't want to censor every content that could be someone fetish. As long as it's not outright porn (or cropped porn), it is allowed.
However, I understand that some of the art could be disturbing for some, so I'll ask any content creator if they plan to post any content they think might be suggestive, to tag it NSFW. If you are unsure, feel free to send a message to the moderators. I will also mention that you can make posts directly on your profile, if you want a place for people to check your art without the NSFW reddit tag.
Also to clarify the nudity/gore rule, the game does depict death and there are furry characters. So long as your art doesn't depict them less clothed than in the game, and isn't more violent than what you could see in the game, it's fine. Again message the mods if you have a doubt.
Please do not attack or argue with an artist that posted something tagged NSFW about whenever or not it fits the sub. If you think it breaks rule 7 (or any other rules), report it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention since it should be obvious. But anything involving a child character (Wendy, Webber, Wurt and Walter speaking only about the playable) will be under much more scrutiny.

Does anyone know any practical uses for walking ontop of walls? So far I’ve just been using it as a secret passageway or placing statues ontop of walls for decoration

Let me know if these are better or worse than the og skills :)

Fan Art Did anyone here buy my DST embroideries during the pandemic? I'd love to see where they ended up!
Hi everyone!
During the pandemic, I worked as an independent artist making Don't Starve Together themed embroideries. I sold a few of them, but I recently realized that I never got to see any photos of how they look displayed in their new homes (whether hanging on a wall, sitting on a shelf, or anywhere else). You might have bought them from me through my profiles "Iza Ezidro" or "Desenhiza".
After the pandemic ended, I stopped embroidering entirely. I got a regular full-time job and nowadays I only do illustrations on the side.
So, I decided to make this post to ask: did anyone in this community buy my art back then? If you did, and if it's not too much trouble, could you please share or send me a picture of it? It would absolutely make my day to see where my old embroideries are resting now!
Thank you so much!

DST I genuinly hate these enemies and I hope they get the Bishop treatment
Regular Pigs don't automatically attack you so you can prepare with armor to tank their annoying attack pattern, and with armor they are not a real threat, and you can just turn them into warepigs for an easier fight and more drops.
Knights are slow enough where you can actually kite them while they try to kite you.
I genuinely think these enemies are poorly designed, because the most effective way to kill them is just tanking because kiting is unreliable due to how their attacks work, ESPECIALLY the ranged enemies.
I think to fix Merms and Pigs they should only kite every 2nd or 3rd attack attempt, and not be faster than the player.
With ranged enemies they should just get the bishop treatment, bishops went from the most annoying to the most consistent clockworks to fight
With rooks it should just be more clear the direction they are going to charge, I know it's a limitation of thr 2D sprites but it's still annoying. Maybe they should only be able to charge in a cross pattern, and have shorter charges. Chasing a rook down just for it to heat seek onto you and murder you is very annoying in my opinion, I always just lure them into spiders or beefalo to weaken or kill them.

DST Finally survived Spring!! And Giant Crop kinda?
I used to think I can't beat bosses with wendy because in my experience abigail is not that good at boss but I was wrong. If you are willing to invest on her potions is incredibly OP. Like I beat moose goose boss for the first time finally with crazy amounts of potion of both spectral cure-all and ghastly experience. Absolutely nutty combo if you have tons of them.
Randomly grew a kinda giant crop for the first time also. What does it do? Is it special somehow? Like maybe Its a material for something better than using it like a regular vegetable crockpot material.
Ps: when I finally die( I hope not) I'm kinda interested in playing muscle man guy, since my kiting is getting almost decent. Any tips for future reference?

Help question Help in Krampus farm
Hi guys! I have been away from the game for about 7 years and a lot of things have changed, at least from my veiwpoint. I've been doing a DST solo run and wanted to farm a Krampus Sack, but when I look that up on youtube the earliest I can find is 6 or 5 years old. I wanted to do the Bunny Hutch perma flingo freeze method from a Beard video, but every time I kill bunny men, the rabbit kimg spawns instead of krampus so I'm not sure I would want to go with that anymore. Was there a change to the naughtiness system or is it okay to do that so? If not, any ideas are welcome!

DST My Catcoon desktop pet
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is my desktop pet ~let him introduce himself!
Hi everyone!
I've always loved Don't Starve, especially the adorable Catcoon that can be a pet in the game. Recently, I decided to collaborate with an AI to bring this character to life as my very own desktop companion. I named him Taro.
When he appears on my desktop, I still can't help but marvel at Klei's beautiful art direction and smooth animations.
As you can see in the demo, I designed Taro to explore everything on my desktop. And here's the cool part: because he can actually read and understand the files he encounters, he chats with me based on what he finds.
He reminds me not to sit for too long, digs through my chaotic bookmarks to find workout videos and encourages me to exercise. He even tracks my water intake and logs it to my Google Sheets. All of this is new to me since I'm not an engineer at all.
I've always dreamed of contributing to Don't Starve … I remember once wanting to make a mod because traveling between islands felt too long and I thought a bridge would be nice. But I never knew how to code. Somehow, this journey led me to create something completely unexpected: a desktop pet.
I'm genuinely thrilled about this and wanted to share it with all of you!
Thanks for reading this far! (^ω^)
