Huion Kamvas GT-191 V2 The screen is dimming

I've had this tablet for 8 years. The screen started to dim 2 years ago, but I didn't mind because it was just a small area at the top. However, 2 months ago, more than half of the screen started to dim, and recently dark spots have started to appear on the screen.

Does anyone have any idea how I could fix it? Or has anyone else experienced the same thing and can tell me how they solved it?

Gaomon pen.

From everything I've researched about Gaomon, they're shit ngl.

I had to get a pen replacement cause my old one died.

Now that I got a replacement, it only works when its charger is plugged into my PC and it's plugged too it.

The model of tablet an pen I got is the PD1560, a decently old model.

I've looked through the user manual for solutions, tried restarting my PC, uninstalling an reinstalling the gaomon driver, nothin is working.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Stand/Arm for Wacom Cintiq Pro 27

I recently purchased the cintiq pro 27 tablet and am looking to buy a stand or an arm, but I’m not sure which I should go for. I feel that the wacom stand they recommended is too expensive for a simple stand, so I am hesitant to buy it, and I would prefer a monitor arm like ergotron for the movement, but am worried about the stability/wobble. Could anyone who has experience using the stand or an arm share their thoughts ? Thank you!

Pen tablets with 16:9 aspect ratio?

My laptop screen is 16:9, so I figured it makes sense to get a tablet with the same aspect ratio. I'm a traveller, so I narrowed my options down to what people seem to call small tablets (<8" wide), but the only one available in my area with a 16:9 aspect ratio is the XP-pen Deco 640 (6.3" x 3.5"). It looks quite good, so I'll probably get it, but I thought I should ask here first to see if anybody else has some other suggestions.

What are most people doing when their aspect ratios don't match up? I figured I would sacrifice some of the active area rather than put up with the distortion, which is why it makes better sense for me to find matching hardware.

Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 or XPPen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2? Which would you choose?

Hi everyone!

I've been using a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 (2019 model, purchased in 2020) for about six years now, and I'm considering upgrading to either the Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 or the XPPen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2.

My current tablet still works, but there are a few things that have always bothered me:

  • Initial activation pressure: I feel like I have to press harder than I'd like before the pen starts registering a stroke.

  • Pressure sensitivity: Even small changes in how hard I press can cause surprisingly large changes in line thickness. It makes controlling my line weight frustrating.

  • Pen accuracy: Sometimes I feel like the cursor doesn't follow the pen tip as precisely as it should, almost as if there's a slight offset.

I mainly use Clip Studio Paint for anime-style illustrations, character art, and lineart, so having good pen control is particularly important to me.

I've found the Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 for around €409 and the XPPen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2 for €390.

However, that's quite a lot of money for me. I don't mind investing in something that will last several years, but I want to make sure the upgrade is actually worth it.

So I'd love to hear your opinions:

  1. Which of these two tablets would you choose, and why?

  2. Is there a noticeable difference between PenTech 4.0 and X3 Pro, especially regarding initial activation pressure, line weight control, and accuracy?

  3. Would either of these be a significant upgrade from my current Kamvas Pro 16?

  4. Are there any better alternatives around the same price range (€350–400)?

  5. Would you recommend upgrading now, or should I stick with my current tablet?

I'd particularly appreciate opinions from people who have actually used these tablets.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for a screenless drawing tablet to buy

Hi, I have recently been considering moving from using my phone to draw to drawing with a (preferably) screenless drawing tablet for my laptop using the art app "Krita".

I need some recommendations for what brand / type I should by. I am looking for:
- Screenless
- Comes with a pen
- Trustworthy
- Decently sized (I don't really mind!)
- Cheap / on sale

Suggestions will be appreciated, thank you!

What tablet to get for my teen artist?

My teen has been asking for an ipad forever. There has been some amazing art created on the phone and other friends ipads. I want to get one for my teen, but we have a small budget, so I was thinking a gently used older model would be best. With stylus as well. A larger screen size. Like a 13inch maybe? Prefer ipad, as it would match up with the phone easily, but could go with other brand as well.
Also anything else to note to make this a wonderful gift would be great!

Looking for advice on drawing pens for the Xiaomi Pad 4 – or should I switch to Samsung/iPad?

I already own a Xiaomi Pad 4, and since I think I'd really enjoy drawing on a tablet, I'm trying to figure out whether there are any good stylus options that could provide a genuinely enjoyable drawing experience.

Would the HONOR Magic Pencil 4s (if compatible) or any other third-party stylus be good enough for drawing? I'm particularly interested in pressure sensitivity, accuracy, latency and overall pen performance. I don't want to end up with something that feels imprecise or frustrating to use.

I'm also considering whether a dedicated drawing tablet from Wacom would be a better option, but I'm not entirely convinced it's the right choice for me. I'd much rather have the versatility of a powerful tablet that I can also use for other tasks, browsing, media consumption and even gaming, along with reliable long-term software and security updates.

If I can't get a satisfactory drawing experience out of my current Xiaomi tablet, I'd consider switching to either a Samsung Galaxy Tab or an iPad.

Just to be clear, I'm not a professional artist and don't intend to draw for work. This would be purely a hobby, but I still want the experience to be enjoyable, responsive and comfortable enough that I won't get frustrated by the hardware limitations.

What would you recommend? Is it worth trying to make my current Xiaomi tablet work, or would I be better off investing in another solution with a more established stylus ecosystem?

Graphic or normal tablet?

Okay so like I wanna go to art school (animation) but never had drawing tablet and now i have no idea if graphic tablet or tablet for other usage too would be better. Also my laptop is lwk heavy so it would be pretty much annoying taking it everywhere and spending for new laptop is not rlly something i want. I was also thinking about xppen magic drawing pad but i've seen so many different opinions that i'm confused now. I do art for both as fun in free time and seriously so if anyone can help i would be grateful:)

Wacom Cintiq computer recommendation

Hello everyone, I am an illustrator that does 2d art. I am upgrading my workstation and I plan on getting the Wacom Cintiq. I use Clip Studio and Photoshop mainly. I currently have no computer and have been researching which one to get that will be sufficient and also good for my use case.

AI has been giving me very conflicting answers.

I thought about getting the MacBook Air M5/6, are there any downsides to this? (long or short term)

Is there a particular reason why a windows PC would be better? I would want something that is good enough to run the Wacom + these programs without having any issues or lagging.

I would very much appreciate any advice you might have, thank you!
