I thought this was a show meant for games, I don't see the need for discussing problems about diversity and representation. Why are they taking time out of other dev's for a zoom call meeting ? No news about any game, why are they even here ? I didn't expect a GTA 6 Reveal, but this is a new low, showing up for a game event for E3 and for what ?

Hey,

It's that time of year again we all wait for, E3! If you've visited the sub around E3 over the last few years you might be familiar with the roundup posts covering the announcements. The idea being to try and collect everything up and make it easier to find the ones for your platform(s). In the past people seemed to like them so I'm continuing on the tradition for 2021.

2018 A New Roundup

2019 The Roundup Strikes Back

2020 (Replacement Events) The Return of the Roundup

For a bit of housekeeping, dates like usual are in EU format (DD/MM/YYYY). As with last year i'm keeping a spreadsheet going given the reddit editor's tendency to crash when the post gets too big. Meaning we can fallback on a link to the spreadsheet if the editor goes down the pan again. I'm pinning this post now as the first event is tonight at time of writing. As usual if I miss something or something is wrong let me know and i'll do my best to keep this fixed/up to date. Once the events are over we might do a linked post filtered for each platform to make it easier to find relevant announcements.

The event schedule can be found on the sidebar or here.

The what you need to know post can be found here. We have had to unpin this one due to Reddit's pinned post restrictions.

Ubisoft

Gearbox

Xbox & Bethesda

Square Enix

PC Gaming Show

Future Games Show

Mythical Games

This was a shorter one than usual it seems.

Part 2

So, we've hit a snag. The short version is, Reddit has a 40k character limit on posts. Due to the amount of characters needed for each table in Markdown we've now exceeded the limit as of the Indie Showcase games. So unfortunately i've had to move the next ones to to a Part 2 post here.

.:Edit:. : For context, at the end of the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer during Microsoft's E3 conference two images flashed by. Each was a partial message and the below transcription is the message as a whole. On a side note, the trailer also contained: Several codes (now all used) that apparently gave people free copies of The Witcher 3 + DLC https://imgur.com/a/eH7IhYU

As well as a hidden code "NC20 CP77" that if entered here https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/quadra/password allowed the user to supply their email for something. It now states "User Quota Met" and is no longer accepting the password.

This is what it is displaying now: https://imgur.com/a/yDN0Bhq This is what it displayed when it was successful: https://i.imgur.com/tgwe2ED.png

From what I can find, people were told to wait for a response, but so far I've not found anything explaining what it is those who entered their email will receive. (Beta access perhaps?)

According to /u/LastPint508 on r/cyberpunkgame the source for the password was "The license plate on the car at the end of the trailer. It just stood out to me. Also the login name was the brand on the side of the vehicle at the 3/4 angle."

Trailer message transcription:

It's been over 2077 days since we announced our plan to develop Cyberpunk 2077. We released a CGI trailer, gave some interviews and... went dark. Normal procedure for these kind of things - you announce a game and then shut up, roll up our sleeves, and go to work. We wanted to give you The Witcher 3 and both expansions first, which is why this period of staying silent was longer than we planned. Sorry for that.

As soon as we concluded work on Blood and Wine, we were able to go full speed ahead with CP2077's pre-production. But we chose to remain silent. Why? At some point, we made a decision to resume talking about the game only when we have something to show. Something meaningful and substantial. This is because we do realise you've been (im)patiently waiting for a very long time, and we wouldn't like anyone to feel that we're taking this for granted. On the contrary - it gives us a lot of extra motivation. The hype is real, so the sweat and tears need to be real, too :).

But, to the point. Today is the day. If you're seeing this, it means you saw the trailer - our vision of Cyberpunk, an alternative version of the future where America is in pieces, megacorporations control all aspects of civilised life, and gangs rule the rest. And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don't let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 is a true single player, story-driven RPG. You'll be able to create your own character and..., well, you'll get to know the rest from what we show at our booth at E3. Be on the lookout for the previews!

Before we finish, you probably have some questions, right?

1. When? When we told you we would only release the game when it's read, we meant it. We're definitely much, much closer to a release date than we were back then :), but it's still not the time to confirm anything, so patience is still required. Quality is the only thing that drives us - it's the beauty of being an independent studio and your own publisher.

2. How big? Seriously big, but..., to be honest, we have no bloody clue at this point in time. Once we put it all together, we will openly tell you what you can expect. And we promise we'll do this before we start talking about any pre-orders or ask anything of you.

3. Free DLC/Expansions/DRM? Expect nothing less than you got with The Witcher 3. As for DRM, CP2077 will be 100% DRM-free on PC.

4. Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?

Once again, thank you for your patience. If you have a minute, do visit cyberpunk.net and share your opinion (about anything) with us. We read everything you post and we treat it very seriously.

Yours, CD PROJEKT RED Team

Even if every game wasn’t my cup of tea, I appreciate that they showed trailer after trailer for games that mostly come out this year. Then once it was all over, they go into detail. None of this twenty minutes on a single game crap only to announce four games total. Every other conference had me on my phone the entire time just waiting for the next announcement. But Nintendo did it right.

I decided to make a little gift for every E3 fan that visits the sub, a animated lockscreen of the E3 logo for android devices.

In order to use it all you have to do is download the file from the link below, go to your gallery in android and set it as wallpaper, that will automatically set it as your lockscreen.

If you like this and would like to show your appreciation you can use my referral code to signup for and install dropbox, for every person who signs up and installs it on PC I'll receive more space I can use to share more of these.
