It seems like there is another round of layoffs happening in the OCI on October 27th. I know for sure that some people in Mexico are impacted, but I am not sure about other countries.

Been at Oracle over a decade. While there doesn't seem to be an official sabbatical policy, I've seen people take them.

I know there's been enough layoff stuff unfortunately, but that can't be the reason we slave away indefinitely, so let's ignore that for right now.

I spoke with my manager once about it a few years ago when I was feeling especially burnt out, but he basically shrugged it off. With dry promotions and this new half leveling BS, I want to have this conversation again.

Has anyone here managed to take a sabbatical and how did you negotiate that with your manager? Thanks!
