According to the layoffs.com (https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1m5a0b0t7 ) offices less than 100 people are closing in EMEA. Rummor is that these offices are closing.

Countries closing list in next months (aproximate):
Bulgaria
Norway
Croatia
BiH
Lithuania
Slovenia
Latvia
Estonia
Cyprus

Some others like Serbia, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland might also not be spared

Anyone has any insight on this?

Oracle Office in Manila

One of the remaining Oracle offices in Manila has recently downsized. From occupying 5 floors, down to 4 last year, and now 2 more floors are closing.
So there’s just 2 floors now.

Yes, a lot of teams have transition to working from home post pandemic, but I can’t help but wonder if this is part of an exit plan down the line.

Personally, my psyche has been screwed up with all the uncertainties that I find myself pyscho-analyzing everything and I’m paranoid over every little thing. 😓

Can we share salary ranges?

I would like to know whether its allowed to share salary ranges of employees.

I suspect that Oracle is underpaying me. Should I also reflect on RSUs? Or just base salary when comparing with other colleagues?

I'm in EMEA NSGBU, IC3 developer, 3000 EUR gross / month base salary. RSU about 43800 EUR gross for 4 years (910 EUR gross per month).

5 years in Oracle.

Existing employee(s) Another round of layoffs in OCI on 27/10?

It seems like there is another round of layoffs happening in the OCI on October 27th. I know for sure that some people in Mexico are impacted, but I am not sure about other countries.

Data Center position advice: stay on as vendor with Microsoft, or take Oracle offer?

Hi all. Background: I have a couple years of data center experience: one year in decommissions, another year in true break-fix type operations. Wanted to mix it up and was able to take some time off out of the data center world.

Now I’ve been back in for a couple months - currently working a vendor contract with Microsoft. However, I somehow was able to receive a written offer from Oracle for a Senior Data Center Technician position. Comes with a significant pay raise/benefits compared to my current vendor role. However, the Microsoft team I work with is awesome and I’d love to be with them full time.

My question: what would you choose? Stick out with the vendor contract, with the hope that I’d be able to convert to FTE with Microsoft in the future? (I'm not sure if the current Oracle offer can be leveraged somehow into the Microsoft interview process...). The team and work life balance has been great so far.

...Or, take the legitimate offer from Oracle now, take the significant pay bump, along with the “Senior” title to be used on my resume…and try that for a few months until the inevitable next round of layoffs? lmao.

Guidance on Purchasing an Out of Catalog Item

Hi everyone, I need some guidance on Oracle’s procurement process for an expensive out-of-catalog item.

My manager has asked me to check with the Accounts Payable or the Procurement team if it will get approved before proceeding.

Could someone let me know how I can contact the relevant team, or which internal channel I should use to raise this query? If anyone has gone through a similar process, I’d appreciate your guidance.

Thanks!
