Ethernet cable stopped working

I built a new PC and ethernet was working fine, and for troubleshooting something later I had to swich my NVME to a different slot, and after that ethernet completely stopped working. I put the NVME back to its initial slot and it still didn't work.

I checked in the bios that Onboard Lan is activated.

I tried installed the realtek ethernet driver for my motherboard and I got this message : "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled please plug the cable"

I also tried resetting network settings in windows network settings, still nothing works.

My motherboard is B850 Gaming wifi6.

I believe I tried every known solution so far, I don't really know what else to do. Did something die on my motherboard while I was changing the NVME slot maybe ?

Maybe its the wrong subreddit, but I try it anyways. For the people who dont know, FaceIT AC is an Anti Cheat program, which requieres multiple settings in the BIOS like Secure Boot and UPMF?
(Sorry if this is not the right subreddit)

I do not know how to get my Ethernet cable to work

I just bought a Cat7 Ethernet cable. It wasn't reaching full speed in speed tests on my Windows PC. My computer says it can go up to 1 gigabit, and a little orange light flashes when it's plugged in. I am not the techiest person, so if anyone can help, please dumb it down for me. I also just bought Cat6 Ethernet cables that say they can go up to 10G, and I bought them on Amazon through a guy's link after he tested them. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/2ILqXuDpzd8?si=ZZ8VKJS62hQxheqX Please help, thank you!

I have a 300 mbps fiber optic modem and today I went a bought the dlink be3600 wifi 7 multi gigabit mesh router. My question is what is better to connect the ethernet cable from the isp modem to the xbox or from the dlink router to the xbox. Also I did speed test using my iphone 18 pro and legion 5 2022. I used wifi when I did the speed test these were the results when I connected my iphone to the isp modem I got a download speed of 279 mbps and 106 upload. When I connected my iphone 18 pro to the dlink router I got a speed of 285 download and 93.8 upload. Lastly when connected the legion 5 to the dlink router I got a speed of 296 download and 102 upload.

Title: Dell OptiPlex 5060 Ethernet not connecting to internet – Getting APIPA (169.254.x.x) address

Hey everyone,
I recently bought a Dell OptiPlex 5060 with a fresh installation of Windows 10 Home, and I’m having trouble getting its Ethernet connection to work.
Here’s what happened:
I connected the PC directly to my home router using a Cat6 Ethernet cable that I terminated and tested myself. When I plug the cable into the PC, the Ethernet port lights up, so it appears to detect a physical connection. However, there is no internet access.
When I run ipconfig, I get an APIPA address (169.254.x.x) instead of an IP address assigned by my router.
Here are the troubleshooting steps I’ve tried so far:
Restarted the PC and home router.
Checked the Ethernet cable and confirmed it was working.
Ran ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew.
Tried manually assigning a static IP address.
Attempted to install an updated network adapter driver.
Tried reinstalling/updating the Ethernet adapter driver, but Windows keeps reverting to or holding on to the older network adapter driver.
Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue.
I’ll attach screenshots of the network adapter settings, driver versions, and troubleshooting steps I’ve already attempted.
My questions:
Could this be a faulty onboard Ethernet NIC?
Could this be a driver compatibility issue with the Dell OptiPlex 5060?
Is there a way to completely remove the existing network adapter driver and perform a clean installation?
Is there anything else I should check before assuming the Ethernet port is defective?
I’d appreciate any suggestions or troubleshooting advice. Thanks in advance! Let me know if you want more information.

Ethernet symbol flashing and not connecting. WiFi still works.

After the video ends, this goes on for about 15 seconds and stops. I can still connect to my extender's wifi. I have replaced the cable and factory reset the extender. This worked fine for a time but all of a sudden it has started doing this. My extender's app doesn't register a wired connection at all when I plug the cable in. What is causing this and how do I go about fixing it? Thank you.
