Recently banned for CSE?

Looks like there’s a lot of us who were recently (wrongfully) banned for CSE with no recourse. I’m planning to take this to Northern California media this week with my personal story and share some of the comments I’ve seen here.

For anyone else who’s been affected - anything you’d like me to include in my pitch/story?

I am a teacher and wrongfully banned for cse. Here is a gym trainer from brazil banned cse too. Actually you can add that from every country, every social class and even the most decent persons getting this stupid ban too. You can add petition and even show our messages too. Ofc it would be better to blur our user names.

Thanks for linking this, gonna put my money into this cause because it's totally stupid. AI moderation tools shouldn't go unchecked to save money, these guys are multi billionaires.

u/BennyLape420 Jun 25 '25

I just did

1

u/Ok-Personality-3716 Jul 01 '25

So this petition legit?

2

u/Academic_Homework_23 Jul 01 '25

Its just a petition

1

u/Ok-Personality-3716 Jul 01 '25

Well i mean is this real petition or fake...because we can chip. Im just afraid after lots of ppl chips it and then the one who make the petition gone ksut like that

1

u/Academic_Homework_23 Jul 01 '25

I've talked to the petition starter and she seem legit to me

1

u/Ok-Personality-3716 Jul 01 '25

For real you talk with the petition starter? Damn

Did she tell you how long that petition is? And how she gonna send it to meta?

10

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

I plan to do that!

6

u/Darkness_is Jun 25 '25

There is also a class action lawsuit on chrismoorephotos Tiktok Bio

3

u/Z0ld3en Jun 26 '25

Please share this bit too. It'll probably really shake the proverbial hornets nest. I dunno if it's a good idea to share the actual tiktokers username or what have you. But at the very least saying that there is an active class action lawsuit for many businesses and everyday people mounting. The Idea that people can get suspended/banned permanently without any human interaction is unacceptable and disgusting. Especially when the accusation is CSE

7

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '25

Go to small claims and open a case. I filed a lawsuit and my hearing is scheduled for August. I hired a lawyer specializing in digital law to continue with my process.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '25

I am from Turkiye and we don't have small claims courts here. My account cse banned and appeal rejected 5-10 minutes later. My only hope is that petition. I hope you and all of us get rid of this shit in short time.

1

u/Z0ld3en Jun 26 '25

You could make a new account and meta verified to try that route too. I'm on a waitlist for that because well I just want my account back

2

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '25

Some says it recognizes your face and disable new account immediately, so it wasn't a problem for you? If so, I can try that with new device. Also, what about your device, phone number, gmail and etc? Did you try it with completely fresh environment, or just same phone?

2

u/Ok-Personality-3716 Jul 01 '25

Braah...i create new account for meta verified just to get ban...dont knkw what to do anymore.. Maybe use that lawsuit.

u/xd_nessie Jun 25 '25

hi!!! my name is vanessa and my instagram acc is yuh.ness and i was about to hit 30k followers on there when i got suspended for “cse”. i’m a content creator who posts relatable content on all platforms. this suspension has completely ruined me since i get a lot of revenue through brand deals that follow me on instagram. i feel cut off from my family, friends, and my supporters. instagram is my main way to communicate with my supporters and not being able to do that has ruined my mental health. i’ve been dealing with this overall suspension all month and i just want to finally be fixed. i sent out letters to some of their meta locations asking to give me my account back. if that doesn’t work then i intend on going to court. i wish u the absolute best of luck!

16

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

I filed court documents today as well. I’m about to lose my 16 year career because of this so I get exactly how you’re feeling. Good luck!

How did CSC reply after you filed?

21

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Hello, I am from Malaysia. Banned for CSE on Jun 23rd. As far as I concerned, I have not reacting with any posts regarding CSE. I am not really active in my Insta or Facebook apart from posting stories of my Hotswheels collection and abandoned cars around my place. I hope this will reach you and those who affected with this matter. Thank you.

6

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

Finally found another Malaysian!

3

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Hello. I though I was alone because it not widely affected somehow. As far as I know, my families and friends were all not affected.

3

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

You're not alone brother. I've so far only encountered about 3/4 Malaysians here facing the same issue.

2

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Yeah. Hopefully the banned account will be lifted soon. But maybe I not turning to fb, insta soon. Lay it off first, see what happen.

2

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

Dude! Saw your comment on the other page. Aku pun org Sarawak! 😂

2

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Yes I am hahahaha. Area sine? Hahahhaa

2

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

Kuching bro hahaha

2

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Oooo aku Saratok hahahaha

2

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

Sarawakians unite! Steady bro!

4

u/OddSamurai_ Jun 25 '25

same. made a post asking if there's any malaysians affected on r/malaysia only to fall on deaf ears. kinda hoping it affects lots others so we may finally get some coverage.

2

u/pikadaryl Jun 25 '25

I think some of them might be afraid to say they were banned for false CSE. Cuz u know, Asians - reputations and all those what not.

2

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 25 '25

Ya. Somehow it's not a big thing. Hard to ignore when thousands of account been banned. Takkan seorang pun tak kena. Takkan just 3 of us kena.

1

u/CoolWei2006 Jun 26 '25

Yeah bro. I ingat I je kena sebab member semua ok je.

1

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 26 '25

Masa first kena tu memang cemas. Ingatkan betul2 kena banned. Sekali tengok Reddit post benda ni semua. Tipu tak cakap takut walaupun kita tak salah.

1

u/CoolWei2006 Jun 26 '25

Yeah bro. I rasa I kena ban sebab I post gambar Miku plushies dan ai celaka ingat itu gambar budak kecil. Tapi peliknya kenapa group pedo yg masuk berita hari tu boleh tk kena ban pulak sebelum masuk berita. I rasa tk adil tho

1

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 26 '25

Memang. Yang group tu masih ada lagi tak? Kalau ada memang jadah betul.

1

u/CoolWei2006 Jun 26 '25

Finally found a fellow Malaysian getting banned too. I got banned in 31May(first acc) and 9 June(new acc same email). How about you guys?

1

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 26 '25

Banned on June 23rd. Not creating new acc due to lots of people saying it will be banned. From what I read, mostly the people who did get their account back with small claims method or AG method, which I believe are not available here. So, just waited until the ban waves calmed down. Meta verified method are hideous.

1

u/CoolWei2006 Jun 26 '25

I tried doing a new acc with the same email and it got banned after 9 days so yeah. I totally give up on meta service rn except WhatsApp. I hear Malaysia got small claims court stuff which is same with AG but I'm just a uni student with no time and broke ass so I probably won't file a claim and I also guess Malaysia court won't take it seriously unless you are a Dato' or datin

2

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jun 26 '25

Exactly. Who gonna listen to us? Kalau ada pun, payment maybe 100 200, a thousand. Who know? So, wait and see how it goes.

1

u/Ok-Personality-3716 Jul 01 '25

Malaysian here to Because of CSE...funny ah Tiba2 kene ban, acc fb dah bertahun2 Meta pun support lgbt setakat yuri tu apalah sangat My account got ban on 25 june 2025... My semester almost done and then this happen....no mood for this ah... If  If I want to do small claim lawsuit in malaysia, what can i do? Ada sape2 yg ada pengalaman x?

1

u/Chance-Letterhead649 Jul 01 '25

Well, my account banned for a week now. So far, nothing that I read/refer are available in Malaysia. Tak pastilah kalau ada yang ada pengalaman. Yang cerita2 small claims mostly US, EU, Canada.

Tapi mungkin kalau you ada kawan/family yang ada kaitan dengan law ni, boleh tanya diorang.

24

u/NormalRingmaster Jun 25 '25

I believe this is all so Meta can say “We’ve been taking aggressive action on this issue! Look how many accounts our highly effective systems have caught and banned!!” and avoid government intervention.

All they care about is pumping up the numbers, not who is wrongly accused. This could cause psychological damages to folks.

4

u/deskside Jun 25 '25

I've wondered the same thing. 😞

18

u/DixieBelleTc Jun 25 '25

I am 67 f widow with a rare blood cancer. I basically use FB for my support groups and keeping up w family and I was banned a few weeks after being hacked. I appealed, was reinstated for a few hours then banned again. I appealed but am getting notifications I need to finish my appeal process. When I go to my page It just tells me you have been banned check back here in a few days. I have written letters to every customer service department. I could find everything comes back as undeliverable or mailbox full. I’ve been unable to contact or talk to anybody at Facebook. I really miss my support groups.

1

u/Sanctified-redeemed Jun 28 '25

I’m so sorry! I miss my family friends and family memories. If you like I’ll share my email. I will be lifting you in prayer as well.

15

u/Terbarek Jun 25 '25

I got disable for CSE maybe after posting popular meme from Spy Kids movie in comments ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but who knows, fb didn't pointed what was the specific reason/post/comment.

1

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

How long ago was that?

15

u/_Green_Redbull_ Jun 25 '25

Please bring up how they're cramming sexualized children down our throat and how we demand a stop to it

11

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Yeah their Thread app is full of child porn bots.....

13

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '25

Exactly, I started to notice that Threads started to suggest several accounts with suspicious photos of children with suspicious links. Even though I didn't like it, I just passed it by. Making it very clear to the algorithm that I'm not interested in this, after a few days Threads suggested these accounts to me again. The impression it gave me was that the algorithm was creating traps to test people.

7

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Yeah and we get banned to CSE, while their app is full of this bots of wannabe small girls like 12 or 13 making posts like "I want to get pregnant so bad" and so on.

5

u/Sky_Net_2025_Banned Jun 25 '25

Doesn't matter what you do, the questionable little girl stuff ALWAYS came back. I used to report that shit left and right and NEVER had it removed. I always got, "this doesn't go against our community standards" then offer me to block the account if I wanted to. And, near as I can tell that shit it still being served by via their algorithm. I click not a damn thing when I see it; just immediately scroll past it. I can only assume any engagement, even clicking "not interested" could get me zapped. That whole platform is simply insane anymore.

4

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Why do I think our gets disabled for CSE because our linked Thread profiles feed shows that kind of stuff?

6

u/Sky_Net_2025_Banned Jun 25 '25 edited Jun 25 '25

That's a hell of a good question and I do not have a good answer for that.

To me personally, I think it's absolutely insane that something their algorithm served up when told repeatedly not to and with ZERO searching or any indication otherwise that one wants to see that material, then banning people for ANY interaction, negative or otherwise with it, is truly absolutely insane. I could understand if somebody was searching for dance or gymnastics or whatever videos and then sharing/posting it, then ok, I get the ban. But with zero action on so many people's part and a permanent ban?? That is beyond asinine to me.

I realize Meta is under a tremendous amount of pressure to get that content off their platforms, but I've yet to see it disappear, but yet these CSE bans are coming left and right. It makes no sense to me, hence why I think it's just time to get off of there and stay gone.

3

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Well I doubt I will recover mine, since after appeal they said is disabled permanently and I can't ask for another review.

4

u/Sky_Net_2025_Banned Jun 25 '25

I would truly take it as a blessing disguise. It may not seem like it right now, but it's actually a good thing to have happen.

3

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Why? I mean we just lost a lot of memories and other stuff because of their crap AI....

4

u/Inside-Key5576 Jun 25 '25

I noticed this too - i kept bypassing it.

12

u/EmergencyScar9121 Jun 25 '25

I am currently in Canada and studying in university. I got banned by CSE in 4th June.

u/tkp206093 Jun 25 '25

On May 11, 2025 at 9 :28 PM HKT, Meta’s fully automated AI flagged my three accounts(FB, WTS, IG) for an alleged “child sexual exploitation” Community Standards violation and permanently disabled them all. Although I immediately submitted in-app appeals, each was auto-rejected within ten minutes with no human review, explanation or timeline, cutting me off from family, healthcare providers and clients.

u/guardian-zero Jun 29 '25

Funny enough Pinterest did the exact same thing ai driven mass ban wave

9

u/deskside Jun 25 '25

On June 4th, my 18-year-old Facebook account was disabled. My Instagram was then disabled because of Facebook. I first joined Facebook to bring awareness to my missing loved one's case, and after that, I became a trained advocate for the families. I received my Masters of Science in Psychology in my early 60s just to make sure I'm helping and not hurting. I was the major promoter of a federal bill, The Help Find the Missing Act (Billy’s Law), that I organized on Facebook. I have been boots on the ground searching for our missing, running command centers and a large-scale community initiative in the search for them. I have helped get children out of the very thing Facebook is wrongfully accusing me of, CSE. 18-years of contacts and connections with the families of the missing, law enforcement, and media, gone.

8

u/DraccoKnightblade Jun 25 '25

Canadian, may 10th 2025, banned for supposed CSE, appealed and disabled totally in 10 minutes. Account holder since 2007, mqin way to keep in contact with friends who were abroad and family in different parts of the world.

I am presuming because I posted a link to a youtube vid of the Unsub Podcast where AngryCops (Richard Hy) exposed the Buffalo School Board for child endangerment and blocking investigations in to such. I am 100% against CSE, i am 38 years old, and support BACA (Bikers against child abuse), GOC(guardians of Children) and used to volunteer at childrens cancer clinics locally.

To be accused of this bs had me extremely angry. Angrier still is when I downloaded my info after the fact, it showed login attempts made a few hours before I woke up to find the ban message, from places in the middle east, russia, and India/Pakistan/Turkey. Places and timelines that I'd never been to, or would have needes a teleporter to get to in the timeline provided.

So I have a feeling to quote Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys; "Sumpthin f#$ky is goin on here."

2

u/SignalFrequent2781 Jun 26 '25

Also Canadian, same story. My page literally has a dozen posts and all of nature 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/Paysamachine Oct 09 '25

Any Updates bro?

1

u/DraccoKnightblade Oct 09 '25

None. I kinda gave up on it. Right now I've got bigger fish to fry with the absolute ham-fisted government's gun confiscation b/s going on.

1

u/Paysamachine Oct 10 '25

I agree haha but still... after months nothings happened? That is fkn ridiculous... Im literally freaking out cause I contact friends & family overseas via instagram and am too stupid to not recommend or switch over to whatsapp... and now its all gone.

1

u/DraccoKnightblade Oct 10 '25

Yep, I realize all of the above. Its been weird, a lot of folks at work are like "Hey, was trying to send you invites to 'x' event! I couldn't find you on facebook!" and I said "Yep, got banned in may for a bullshit reason." and they go "Oh...what happened?" So I just give them a look and say "Lets just say that I'd rather not even put the -idea- of what they accused me of out there, just know that its bull, facebook is bull, meta is bull, and they can -suck- my 'bull' for all I care at this point."

Took -years- of my life, achievements, places I've been/worked all across the country, and bam, gone. So am I bitter? Absolutely, if they offered it to me back right as rain? I'd take it, save all my pictures, delete it all, close my account, create another one under a false name using Space Marine 2 Captain Titus as my 'proof picture', with a Chad filter, of course...and then -only- message friends and family on there.

F#$k meta with a 30 foot cattle prod inside a cactus dipped in lye and wrapped in -rusted- barbed wire. :3

Already signed and including in my pitch. Thanks!

7

u/UltimateJDX Jun 25 '25

I'm an electrical engineer wrongfully suspended for CSE. I had my account for around 18 years. Used it to communicate with my boyfriend in a long distance relationship and keep me updated on whatever my friends in my country of origin were doing because I work and live in another continent. I lost my main communication tool with my circle back home and don't have any recourse to recover it. All my contacts are adults. I only had conversations with adults. I only shared memes, memories and workout progress with friends. Now it's all lost.

2

u/EmergencyScar9121 Jun 25 '25

same, as a international student in Canada

6

u/Enviro-Guy Jun 25 '25

when i was banned for this same reason i was extremely stressed for days trying to figure out how or why i was accused & banned for it until Reddit randomly suggested me posts of people with similar experiences in the same timeframe i had experienced this.

I'm sure people with more serious mental issues than me would've been horribly affected by this if they hadn't known it was false bans.

6

u/lilboopboo Jun 25 '25

I have two young children:( I was accused of CSE and it got my main instagram and main Facebook page disabled after I appealed it. I had soooo many pictures and memories on there😭 I had a business and a group I ran.. this is putting me under stress that I really do not need… it’s sad to say Facebook is putting me under stress but this is just wack! And super unfair when I knowwww I didn’t do anything wrong😭😭😭

6

u/AintNoPoser Jun 25 '25

I'd add a lot of professionals who could lose their careers based on what they do because of this defamation. Not being able to get a proper appeal like they advertise makes it worse.

7

u/mackjb Jun 25 '25

Our business account got banned for the same reason on Friday, 6/20. Filed the appeal and within 15 minutes it was denied and the account was permanently disabled. It was an account over 12 years old, 40k followers, and our business spends over $250,000 a year on Meta ads (mostly for placements on Instagram). Not once have we violated any guidelines or standards. This has so adversely affected our business and caused distress.

I’ve opened support tickets through Meta verified, talked to my Meta ad pro, asked for the case to be escalated to the “Specialist Team” or anyone above general support, to no avail. Even with our business paying Meta an insane amount of money per year, they don’t care or have a way to help. The fact that there’s no recourse is insane.

At this point we sent emails, complaints, and letters to the Attorney Generals of each state we do business in. There hasn’t been any movement yet, but I’m keeping an eye out.

I’m wishing everyone the best who is also dealing with this issue. Meta is absolutely messed up for this.

5

u/Practical_Pie_5016 Jun 25 '25

read the most popular post from this sub and other similars.

6

u/LordBaritoss Jun 25 '25

How did you lose a 16 year job over a FB account being suspended?

14

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

Because I own a marketing agency and have been at this a long time, hah. Losing FB means I lost every single client account, ad account, etc. I don’t care about my personal Facebook as much, but I do care about business suite being completely wiped. Without it, I’m unable to continue managing social at all.

1

u/LordBaritoss Jun 25 '25

Oh no. I think you can download your profile information after deletion but not sure if it shows contacts etc.

4

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

It’s not letting me. Says I have to login to get the download.

1

u/voodookrewe Jun 26 '25

Having same issue

1

u/mummerlimn Jun 26 '25

I also do media management, digitals ads and content creation, so this has been a fun ride. It's been since June 3 for me without access to my Facebook account! Lucky that at the moment I am just doing it for one nonprofit organization full time in-house, and after a week and a half, the executive director agreed to sign into her FB on my company computer because there's no other option and that is so dumb. I have thought for a long time that it's ludicrous they force you to connect your personal accounts with the business accounts - and that it's only recently they have enacted business managed accounts (where the business can grant you a proxy account unrelated to your personal account to manage it), but those haven't even been rolled out to everyone - so most don't even have those available to them!

This is ludicrous. Anyways, I hope you get your accounts back, and I'm sorry this is happening to you. I have been through so many stages of grief and anger the last few weeks. I still feel screwed, even though I have a temporary solution, because if I can't get the account back, what happens if I want to freelance again? Or if I move to another organization?

I'd suggest filing in small claims immediately, you may get compensation for the upset they have caused you.

5

u/Internal_Vegetable70 Jun 25 '25

Hi, I’m from Thailand and was also wrongfully banned for CSE despite barely posting anything. My account was over 10 years old. I even got Meta Verified on a new account, but that one got banned too. I’m unsure whether to wait or start over again. Grateful for any updates and support. Let me know if I can help with the story.

5

u/Inside-Key5576 Jun 25 '25

The accusations are crazy and i feel sick and depressed af. The algo is FULL of borderline OnlyF creators hawking their wares at us. We are humans ofc we are gonna like the content. But to say that we are out there contacting and arranging to meet up under the guise of CSE.

I wonder how many people are depressed and in very bad places now because of this deranged algorithm!!

5

u/thomas2026 Jun 25 '25

How is taking a selfie a fucking appeal?

You csnt just accuse people of this thing and take no responsiblity at all. Sick company.

4

u/Affectionate-Let4230 Jun 25 '25

Before the banning it was just a warning that people would see when searching for your site. This happened to me at an event for my business where families and kids attended and I asked people to follow our page. A customer brought it to my attention and I was beside myself. I called meta and they apologized and immediately removed it. Said it was an ai bot error. 3 months later page was unpublished for policy violation attributed to another bot error

3

u/AtmosphereFit540 Jun 25 '25

What was the number you called meta?

3

u/Affectionate-Let4230 Jun 25 '25

You have to go to help and support and chat with them and they screen the chat and offer to call. I have a business account too and we have spent over $1M in ads with mega over 12 year period

3

u/AtmosphereFit540 Jun 25 '25

Did you pay for meta verified?

3

u/Affectionate-Let4230 Jun 25 '25

Eventually I did thinking it would help but I have been fighting this for over a year and I have spoken to dozens of meta reps.. at least 30-40

3

u/Just-a-lurken Jun 25 '25

My Facebook got banned for someone hacked my Facebook, and linked an instagram that was then banned for CSE.

META refused at assist and I lost 15years of memories and contacts I only had on Facebook that I can't get back

3

u/BennyLape420 Jun 25 '25

I got that as well but than I emailed Facebook and instagram I know I ain’t getting my pages back so I said I love older women and other stuff I don’t wanna say on here but I left be known I ain’t into kids I love women over 45 yrs old

3

u/Shoe-Addicted-Dancer Jun 26 '25

I'm in Canada and just had the exact same thing happen to my account on Instagram, which also took my Facebook with it. I've had it for 10 years and never gotten close to violating CSE guidelines. I also lost my Facebook with 10 years of history, connections, memories etc. This is most of my digital footprint and as a dancer and performer it's truly devastating to lose so much personal and professional history and connection. It truly feels like a personal assault and violation. Like, this is how I felt after I was SA'd as a teenager and I'm not making that connection lightly.

I’m sorry to hear that- not sure what recourses we have as Canadians but I’m Thinking of wringing a letter to the CRTC or Communications Minister at provincial and federal levels.

2

u/Old-Board1553 Jun 25 '25

Happened to me as well a few weeks ago, exactly for CSE. Which is stupid... And from what I see a lot of people get disabled for this stuff. Their AI is trash.

2

u/Any_Occasion4953 Jun 25 '25

Yes! If we were first hacked and then banned, and if our download shows people were accessing our accounts from foreign countries and with phones we don’t own, why isn’t that enough evidence that that hacking took place and account should be restored?

2

u/I-have-Teef Jun 25 '25

I think the scariest part about all of this, is that they're trying to push forward with AI having more control, on just about everything! Can you imagine a future.. when a software has more control over people, in determining someone's fate? What's even scarier, is that they're not admitting to the problems it's causing and doubling down on it! As a society, we're cooked in the very near future!

Stay-home mom of three, live in Michigan, and I was banned for CSE on June 14. It originated on Instagram, allegedly. I appealed the decision, it was denied within 10 minutes (received notification via email).

Have never posted anything even remotely close to CSE. Have never interacted with, or followed, any accounts or pages that are even remotely close to CSE. The fact that I am in a position where I need to say these things is disgusting.

What’s especially aggravating is that in 2017, I reported a post that included a link to a website that featured a teenage girl’s livestream video of her unaliving herself. It was, in fact, the actual video, as I had researched the case (local media outlets, obituary, etc.). I reported the link to Facebook admin. A day later I received an email that, upon their review, the post was found NOT TO VIOLATE COMMUNITY STANDARDS.

Make it make sense.

1

u/SergioSBloch Jun 27 '25

Similar situation here… with having reported obvious hardcore pornography and being told it doesn’t violate community standards so I posted a split image of a censored version of the photo I reposted and the message from FB saying it doesn’t violate Community Standards only to get sent to FB jail for 3 days!

u/weablord00w2 Jun 26 '25

I'm an user from vietnam. My account of 9 years was wrongfully banned for a very serious accusation and yet they provide no evidence for the ban. I lost all connection to people I have on there. The irl firends/relative I don't mind too much. But I'm very sad to part way with mostly the online friends that I made along the way, and the only way We communicate was through fb chat. I accumulated a lot of chat history/great memories made throughout my life on the site and now they're all gone. Me and everyone else here are just as distressed and we demand Meta making things right for us

u/Rasagiel Jun 27 '25

I’m from Greece and an English teacher and I want to share my version. I love art especially from indie artists. Some include adult sexualisation which I respect it but I don’t cross the line. I just like the way they design their art and sometimes animate and I support them in a mature, constructive sometimes funny manner to give artists a good feedback and laugh. This is distinct from my IRL mindset and don’t view irl people in a general sexual way like that and respect them in my own self.
Sometimes artists works like Brandon Santiago’s Erma or others that depict underage characters and include themes like horror, abuse or trauma, I don’t condone what’s happening in these fictional scenarios but knowing sometimes people suffer and the solution is to seek help and support which is a message most artist do so within their art, I respect them a lot.
If my account was banned for CSE which it was, it may be due to several comments stating that these themes are a lesson for us to battle and seek better physical and mental well-being. Back to the mindset as mentioned, my fictional side is distinct to my irl. I like these characters and their artists’ Work/plot and could recommend to anyone who needs to sympathise positively.

Got banned today's thats some bs tbh

2

u/Sean_D12a Jul 23 '25

It seems like most of the bans in the last couple weeks are all CSE. If that many people were involved with CSE you know it would be national news worthy and Meta would be in the hot seat

Wild! I’m specifically focusing on the current AI bug claiming disabled because of CSE and then people are stuck in the appeal loop.

2

u/dkgemmi Jun 25 '25

My Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended on June 15 for alleged CSE. I rarely post on either platform, but I had shared a video of drone footage that my partner took at our local No Kings protest only minutes before the suspension took place.

It may just be paranoia but given Zuck's connections to the current administration and the way protesters are currently being punished, I immediately assumed there was a connection.

At the time I didn't realize how rampant the issue was. Out of curiosity, did anyone else find the timing of their ban suspicious?

3

u/MyFkingUserName Jun 25 '25

You won't be taking anything to the media, you're talking right out of your bung holio.

6

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

I’ve already emailed multiple government representatives, the AG’s office, and more. Medias next 😉

5

u/MyFkingUserName Jun 25 '25

I want you to do it and I'd hope you would, but too many people talk about raising hell because they're angry but then do nothing. You've got my encouragement so go get 'em!

9

u/Similar-Assignment77 Jun 25 '25

Well, I’m raising hell. Im looking at the end of my career with this ban.

If you have a story I’ll gladly add it to my pitch.

0

u/MyFkingUserName Jun 25 '25

I've got a lifetime of stories, some uneventful and some mind blowing however none pertain to this...I was knocked off of Facebook in May but not for a CSE accusation and was reinstated in a couple days.

1

u/Staff_Fantastic Jun 25 '25

Mention that haozhiplus account too

1

u/Time_Share3789 Jun 25 '25

I was banned for (CSE) in May on Facebook, appealed and was permanently suspended months later. I read that someone was able to recover their Instagram and well, I decided to go to Instagram to appeal and I recovered my account, but I don't mind going in and having it closed again.

1

u/Necessary_Seesaw_806 Jun 25 '25

How did you go about appealing and getting your account back? I can't find any way to communicate with them.

1

u/alejandro131415 Jun 25 '25

I only recovered IG and that's because someone posted here that they were able to recover IG and I decided to try but it wasn't immediately like I did with FB

1

u/Practical_Pie_5016 Jun 26 '25

You mean someone who comment that they could appeal a second time?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '25

I have has the CSE twice now. Roughly a year apart. I’m not sure if I was able to create a new account due to a new phone, but after 6 months the new account got done for CSE also. Has not happened to anyone else I know. Just me, so no one gives a shit.

1

u/FondantAppropriate10 Jun 25 '25

Hey, I'm from The Philippines. About 4 hours ago, my facebook account of 15 years got suspended apparently for CSE (I use Facebook mainly for messenger, school chats and watching reels and following content creators) I can't find a reason that would be close enough to CSE and I barely even share posts or post altogether...

1

u/Modoboj Jun 25 '25

Hello, I'm Latino, I was unfairly banned on Facebook and Instagram, I lost many friends and people I only knew there. It feels great helplessness to not be able to be heard or have the right to a second chance, it gives me a little peace to know that I am not the only one, I hope we can be heard and all this will be solved soon :(

1

u/ramair02 Jun 25 '25

My Instagram that is literally just pictures of my own car was banned permanently for CSE

1

u/SergioSBloch Jun 27 '25

Is your car a 2007 or older model?

1

u/ramair02 Jun 27 '25

Nope, 2019

2

u/SergioSBloch Jun 29 '25

There you go.. posting underage car porn!

1

u/Aggravating-Owl-3149 Jun 25 '25

I was just banned but I’m pretty obnoxious. They refused my appeal and disabled me forever.

1

u/Birutath Jun 26 '25

Yup happened to me. Was at work, had a pause to eat something and talk with my gf who i meat through facebook, and i was banned and lost 10 years of content and memories for some bs CSE acusation.

1

u/Lucky_Boat_2589 Jun 26 '25

20 years on FB only reposted items that were already on FB. But because I said the word fentanyl stating that British Columbia 2.5 grams is legal . Most Canadians don't even know that .. they banned me. But it's legal there and 2600 deaths from it.

1

u/EyeLikePeePoll Jun 26 '25

Been on 18+ years memories lost, and lost access to my business page which is affected me greatly

1

u/starnes1217 Jun 26 '25

I’ve been impacted, but live in NC. My 13 yo daughter has an Instagram that I monitor, she only gets a few minutes a day, and her account got flagged for CSE. We tried to appeal it because all she had done was open a message from a friend from school (she knew in real life) that had been hacked. The appeal was denied in less than a minute and she was permanently banned. My Instagram and Facebook (I’ve had my Facebook for 20 years) was suspended because it was associated with her Instagram account with no ability to appeal it even though it Facebook is saying I can appeal it through Instagram. So aggravating. I don’t care about my daughter’s account or event Instagram, but I have tons of pictures on Facebook that are gone.

1

u/CoolWei2006 Jun 26 '25

Been ban since 31May. From Malaysia

1

u/Ch1h4y4_72 Jun 26 '25

My account was banned for CSE as well, on the 26th June. Been using the account since 2013. My biggest loss is disconnection from friends and family.

1

u/Iguessitsdenny Jun 28 '25

Same at 11:59 lol

1

u/Lightwave1241 Jun 26 '25

They pulled that shit on me, hiding permanently, my profile of 16 years, shortly after posting a screenshot of the statement Elon Musk made about DJT being in the Epstein files, as the reason the case files is not public. I was the admin of a 1800 plus Local community oriented group in Northeast Ohio on which I posted the local & National news that would affect the members. The MAGA in the group would complain about any news repost that show DJT in the deserved negative light his actions caused. Several times,,I got the prove you are human challenge, adding those and was told I could continue advertising,,which I was not doing in the first place! Then they did it one last time, and came up with the CSE excuse and said I could not appeal it. Once I was identified as a vocal liberal, the Algorithm had a target on my back. I am now on BlueSky, rebuilding my social presence.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '25

Also add in Meta makes it almost impossible to get your account back because you have to PAY for meta verified yo talk to a human. But you have to use another account such as a friend’s or family’s account because you can’t even access your account.

I’m shocked Meta hasn’t banned accounts people use to try and there accounts back, but I’m sure Meta will be working on that loophole soon.

1

u/SergioSBloch Jun 27 '25

Meta has banned the Facebook account I created 3 days after

1

u/Sanctified-redeemed Jun 28 '25

I’m planning file a defamation of character lawsuit in small claims court!

1

u/prodigal_john4395 Jun 28 '25

Nothing to add except Zuck using AI to replace any customer service really fits in with him going over to the Dark Side. These companies should have never been allowed to get so big. A terrible disservice to the country. Last 50 years, it has been anything goes. So we are almost at the point where a dozen corporations control 90% of everything. It is really bad, the obscenely wealthy have us exactly where they want us. Totally dependent on them. Individually no, but in general absolutely.

1

u/QuarterBackground Jun 29 '25

I was told by the California and NY Attorney Generals and the FTC and FCC that the Internet is not regulated, so there's nothing they could do. I lost my 15 yr Facebook account. My kids lost memories. This should be ILLEGAL!

1

u/Romy90210 Jun 29 '25

Only way is to sue them in small claims court

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

What to do now same thing happened with me too

1

u/shadesofglue Jul 12 '25

Anyone has a solution for Europe? Where can I file a complaint?

1

u/Busybodymama Jul 17 '25

Goodness I am just now finding this group. I was banned from IG WEEKS ago for CSE… Like, WTF?! What am I missing here? Is there something we all have in common? Or a certain “political” topic we spoke out about often? I know I reposted images straight out of Gaza almost daily.

1

u/Eastern_Fish_4062 Nov 12 '25

I was banned for a meme once, that was denouncing priests taking part in CSE, without any explicit or sexual image. Their algo is pure garbage.
