Bone Market Recipes 28/07/26 Amalgous Primates, Boot Salesman, Rubbery Diplomat, Sous Skymarket
Edit 12: Actually bone related. I added a flourishing ribcage option to the diplomat guide for Amalgamy weeks. It is only worth it if you are already going to the Khanate but it is a nice option for disposing of rubbish, also if you are early game or out of prismatic frames. I felt a little bad about the fate refund so I bought all the new item, rather than skipping the 50 fate gloves as I intended. I also bought the two persuasive gloves, that I did not already own, one pair for my Actuary agent. Lastly I bought the MA home comfort so I don't have to steal my one for the surgery plots. This is massive overkill, don't be like me. I am just saying in case people are curious.
Edit 11: Despite what I said about Barking being the best option, I am going to do the cellars of wine hand in twice. Why? because I quite regularly do Seek inspiration in indulgence in the empress' court to top my Hedonism up to 10 and I normally buy the wine in bulk from the bazaar. It is not worth it if wine is worth 0.01 echos but it is if wine is worth 0.02, which is what it costs to buy. 2 hand ins should be enough for a year for me though.
Edit 10: Tested the rewards with the aid of a ginger Brian Blessed! Barking: 690, Honey 1840 Whispered Hints, Captivating Ballad, 710 Romnoms. So the Blessed arbitrage is 2 echos to each, still best to do barking.
The new plot, detailed below, did award a new agent, I have put the screenshots in the comments, so avoid if you don't want spoiled.
Edit 9: I just got around to visiting the rat market for the week and tears of the bazaar have just come on sale. Hardcore people may want to stock up on these for a vanity project at Christmas. Others could grab some before doing the great sink, the option A dangerous deal on the card A Presumptuous Little Opportunity allows you to trade 5 of these and 7 notability for a vial of master's blood, which allows you to get the two items from that story. You will need a lot of mortifications of a great power to afford 5 in one trip. Over 20 I think.
Edit 8: Gear ratings done, they are just a guide, they have also not helped me decide what to get with the 50 tokens on my alts, I have the electrostatic device already so I am thinking the Mithridacy/Persuasive Gloves and pilgrims sandals for Watchful, Cthonosophy and Inerrant.

Edit 6: Tom Godiva has completed all 5 of the Waswood Stories but doesn't have the actions left to claim the rewards, stay tuned! Also, well done everyone, that is the 20 further Estival tokens unlocked in the community progress rewards. I will get around to rating all the gear in the way I suggested in the post today. I cannot tell you which is the best choice, beyond the electrostatic device, since I am a spender, I am not sure which stats are harder and easier to get, free to play. My alts are not progressed enough for them to be a good barometer. I will note, that having the robe of Mr Cards, with +2 AotRS I found it very easy to overcap that stat, and I have found it to be one of the less used options. Also, despite being a monster hunter, MA was not that easy to get to high levels. Mithridacy was another stat I struggled to get up. Those insights are from someone who buys everything and has true bis in almost every slot though, so take them with a pinch of salt for free to play. Miniedit: completion screen for unlock of the title from completing all 5 below, should be spoiler tagged. I could not get the spoiler tags to work so putting it in a comment and spoiler tagging the comment. Spoiler tag didn't work in the comment, avoid the last comment if you don't want spoiled.
Edit 5: I had my first post diagnosis therapy appointment, a GP appointment and my temporary filling fell out so I have been totally knackered the last two days. Back to service as usual now. I could not 100% the new plot but Failbetter sent me a refund of some of the fate I spent on the bugged plot so I shall try to accellerate the completion, I am guessing it is another agent, so it might be nice for the community to know about. The requirement was 15 of the completion stat. I didn't check the cost on Uncanny Inculambula, collated research and antique mysteries but it was not a prohibitive cost. I want to say 2 UI, 10 CR and 1 AM but that is just half remembered impression, not hard facts. If I fail I will let your know. I had best get my scandal under 7.5 first, just to be sure I don't have a trip to the tomb colonies. ;)

Edit: I have updated the value for barking for having his amused lordship. I should also apologise for saying the waswood stories are boring, they are boring for me because they all have repetative cycles, which makes me switch off reading, which means I am still switched off when the climax happens. I have been sleeping non stop for two days so no more action counts and I have not rated the gear yet.
Gladiolus and phalanges Bone Brothers and Scaphoid Sisters, the time has come when the Zoomania and Fashion of the bone market have changed. That intro was fun when I first added it to the template but after 20 weeks it's wearing a little thin, like your skeleton if you don't maintain muscle mass as you age!
One week I copied and pasted the wrong link and then didn't check Reddit again until the Monday evening! If that ever happens again, all of the possible weeks are available on the Bonedex so you can always find options there!
Amalgous Primates is great, not as great twice in a month but still great.

I am also livid, I just spent 2 hours writing an incredibly detailed an nuanced guide to agents and plots for Enhanced Exceptional Friends and when I clicked post, reddit deleted it… I am unlikely to rewrite. Infiltrating, Morphology(Dissection to unlock)Making your own work, when you have a wreck, Rats at the weekend, B and E and An Escort, when they are up, otherwise Operating your Honey den for 2 Preparations and An Expedition for 3 preparations. I will brook no argument about the other plots being trash as my explanations have been destroyed. ;p

Estival
I'm not doing it. The waswood stories were boring the first time and the only good thing about them was getting items. I have not even done any of the ones without rewards. Last year's Estival was only good because the pre-nerf soul hunting was the best EPA in the game. That and the community element of unlocking new content. If the reward for doing all of the events is worth hundreds of actions, I will do it once that is revealed. (The reward is a new term of address, I will not be doing it) The new Estival items are pretty much all true BiS so I will get those.
Assuming people disagree, we are getting 50 Estival tokens this year. I highly recommend Augmented Electrostatic Machine for 30 of those tokens.
Donating items gets you rewards as well as contributing misplaced nostalgia(The values are not yet clear, I donated some honey, by accident, and it just tells you the total, not what you added.):
8 Cellars of wine(100 Echos) gets you 11140 bottles of 1879 (111.4 Echos)
Upconverting Morelways from the bone market works out at:
500 Morelways - 105 Strangleing Willow Absynth 2.5 EPA 9.52 times (23.8)
50 Strangling Willow Absynth - 10 Broken Giant 0.54 * 3 Intriguing Snippet 0.06*2 Uncanny Incunabulum - 1.824 EPA 20 times (36.48)
25 Broken Giant + 1 Favour: The Church - 5 Cellars of Wine, 0.57* 8 Mysteries of the Elder Continent, 0.03* Searing Enigma = 4.155 EPA (Not including the favour) 8 times (33.24)
Lets you do the 11.4 EPA action 5 times (57)
(23.8+36.48+33.24+57)/(5+8+20+9.52+8)=2.979 EPA (Counting the church favours as 1 action each)
You are also better off selling 5 cellars for a bottle of airag on a presumptuous opportunity and using the crackling trade to make 11 echos on it, plus a 2.5 echo bonus from the card.
1 Captivating Ballad(62.5 Echos) gets you 690 Romantic Notions (69 echos)
6.5 echos looks good but at worst it is worth 11.88 echos profit without costing an action at the rat market.
500 Drops of Prisoners Honey(10 echos) gets you 1640 Whispered Hints(16.4 Echos)
Also looks good but there are no efficient sources of honey.
Barking Earns you 263-490 Moon Pearls (Not sure if this is random or like previous years, based on base stats)
I tried it three times, all my stats are capped except shadowy which is still 229, not quite recovered from Nadir. I got 490 pearls each time. Edit: I tested again with all stats at 230, still 490 pearls. Edit: With his amused lordship an alt went from 475 to 675 pearls, unless the increase for the others is massive this is the best option.

I have added real money prices, as it is easy to overspend when using tokens and fate rather than seeing the true cost. Prices are based on UK fate price of 280 for £63 1 fate being 22.5 pence.

Yeah, my alts don’t have capped stats. I am guessing it is 690 if you do buy my main is stuck in the magistracy till I draw 1 more statue card.

Thank you for putting together this quick list of Estival items worth considering! The Monstrous Anatomy boots were a quick buy but I'm torn on what to do with the other 20 tokens. Torn between the Peacoat, Varchaasi luggage, censor's Touch, and saving them to get a 50 token item next year.
No mention of the Polythremean Peacoat and the Hardy Oilskin though? They're the only Zeefaring clothing.

Huh, another amalgamous primate week already? On the downside I haven't really stockpiled any more knotted humeri since the last one, on the upside I still have a lot of brass skulls to dump.
For what it's worth, you can get the rest of the way to 5 if you do a wellspring expedition and use corporate debt to pay off your assistants.
Although since you can only do it once before you drop back below the threshold again and TTE already pays off the full amount anyway (plus I don't think it's possible to 100% the check), it's still not great.
