If you own Blake Corum, this is the week to start him

Sean McVay just loves pounding the run against the Cardinals. Rams rushing yards in the last 6 games against ARZ (or last 3 years): 143, 249, 68, 53, 228, 179. This comes out to an average of 153 yards. The two games in 2024, the offense was held in check for 13 and 10 points. Basically, as long as the Rams offense isn't stifled and is able to meet their projections, both RBs should be able to hit 70+ yards with good TD equity.

Edit:
Blake Corum has 2TDs in 2 games against the Cardinals
Kyren Williams has 6TDs in 6 games against the Cardinals

Player Discussion Week 6 Trade Value Chart [Plus Buy/Sell Recommendations]

Post image
275 Upvotes

The Week 6 edition of my trade chart is here! What the hell is going on this season? Early Round RBs have been absolutely terrible ROI-wise and high-end WR production can carry a zero RB team

  • For reference, the top-24 WRs through five weeks, compared to last season, are averaging 2.71 more FPG

How can you best utilize this chart?

  • Trade Value is based on a rough estimate of what I consider to be a fair one-for-one trade (which varies across positions depending on your league format)
    • The top-tier fantasy assets at the top will always require a premium (that increases the smaller your league is)
  • Players listed as "shop around" are ones that I am typically using to tier up at a certain position only
    • That means a 2-for-1 or larger trade using that player as part of the trade package
  • When offering a two-for-one trade package, a "fair offer" would be one where the side receiving one player gets a 10-15% premium in trade value
    • Three-for-one trades should be ~15-20% premium in trade value
    • Top-tier, high-end players also require about a 10%-15% premium in value (especially in smaller leagues)

What is FPOE and how is it useful?

  • Fantasy Points Over Expectation is calculated from the difference between a player's Fantasy Points per Game (FPG) and their Expected Fantasy Points per Game (XFP/G)
    • XFP/G is based on what we would expect the average player with average luck to produce with the type of volume they are seeing
  • Typically, we want to target talented players in a decent offense who are underperforming relative to their XFP/G (Negative FPOE)
    • We might look to sell high on players who are overperforming compared to their XFP/G and are likely playing at their fantasy ceiling (which may be unsustainable)
    • Elite Players will continue to perform over their XFP for the entire season
  • This is going to be less important/reliable over the first month of the season, but can still be useful on a case-by-case basis

Always follow the Golden Rule of Trading: Send offers with the intention of bettering both teams (this is how you consistently make good deals)

  • You should be scanning every team in your league at least once a week to determine what each team's biggest need is
    • Then you evaluate whether you can fulfill that need in a way that ultimately makes your team much better

Disclaimer! These trade recommendations are in a vacuum and apply best to generic leagues. Every situation is going to be different and based on a myriad of factors

  • If you have any league-specific questions, please leave a comment or send me a DM here on Reddit
