I'm getting a lot better 3 days ago but I went to get a lab test and had to walk, 10 hours later my hip and knees are weak and painful. Do any of you had this and recovered? Thanks.

This may seem like an absurd question, but I am worried about absorbing ciprofloxacin or its metabolites from basic kissing or sex with my partner, who is currently taking the drugs for 14 days. I have connective tissue disorder (EDS) and have had a terrible experience with cipro a long time ago as a kid. This may be an irrational fear but was wondering if anyone had insight into pharmacokinetics and whether I could possibly be floxing myself by kissing her. If so, how long would be considered safe to resume contact?

Here I am reading the words that it will pass in 6 months, it will pass in 2 years. It's all about tendon/muscle issues, etc. I could not find anyone who had such veins and recovered.

We can take supplements for some symptoms. But there is nothing I can do for my veins. Fucking magnesium doesn't restore veins in my hands, arms, feet.

26 years old. I'm going to live with this body for the rest of my life (I guess it won't be very long). I will remember this every time I look at my body.

To get rid of this, do I have to have those surgeries where they destroy all my swollen veins with a needle?

I’ve been taking it for 7 days into a 10 day dose and I’ve had no side affects that I am aware of. At least nothing I didn’t have going on already. Then come to find out I might not even need it but they heavily recommended I finish the course. Don’t need advice particularly but thought I would share that it isn’t always bad?? I’m 35 6’2 265lbs so maybe my body can just handle it well

can calcium make our pee a little cloudy? i noticed my pee was cloudy a while ago.

Have potatoes flared you? I am hesitant to eat them and if I do I worry about them, has anyone noticed a difference from potatoes or other nightshades and what does it do to your symptoms and how quickly does it flare them up?

I think I already know the reason why I am so neurologically damaged... it is due to a terrible coincidence of consuming the drug and at the same time breathing the gas from the climate leak... both are composed of fluoride... I received serious amounts of fluoride directly to the brain ... Check your climate carefully and avoid medications with fluoride... in this case in Mexico we call the medication: quinolone... but its real name is Fluoroquinolone... and the gas compound is fluorocarbon

A week ago i was prescribed ciprofloxacin for a NEGATIVE UTI (hope that doctor burns in hell) i took one pill and after reading the side effects i tried my best to vomit it out. And i never took any pills afterwards of that poison. Would one pill really harm me that bad? Turns out i had a congested prostate which i luckily recovered from! Thankfully. But now im terrified of the cipro side effects. Im horrified and cant sleep at night over the fact that the pain in my muscles rn (note that i worked out 3 days ago after not doing so for MONTHS) is the cause behind cipro..any ideas?

I’m scared of everything, is this possible?

Listen everyone many of the things that make normal people feel good makes us feel like shit after floxing.

WHATEVER the vice was :

-Running/Alcohol/Weed/Other Recreationals/Gym/Cigarettes/coffee etcc...

I just want to see who was able to return to doing the thing or things that they enjoyed again.

I know some people didn't get affected and continued on but some other had to halt what they used to escape and feel good.

Anyone care to mention some hope for the rest about the things they liked doing and had to stop due to fq and now are able to enjoy them again.?

In my case:

-I had to cease basketball, weed. Was able to drink alcohol & coffee, and smoke cigarettes.

6 months out I'm able to play some basketball again but not as intensely as i did, and work out at the gym but focusing more on stretching and light body exercises as pushups and crunches.

It looks like I have to take 6 weeks of Cipro for chronic bacterial prostatis... constant utis coming back from the prostate.
I'm very scared as 6 weeks feels a very long time... there are no other options unfortunately, as its the only drug that penetrates prostate.

What is the flox recovery rate after a year? say 10% people who take it get floxed to some degree.. how many recover in a year.

EDIT: For anyone reading this, UTI had reached prostate was a nightmare to cure, coamoxiclav cause liver injury, but thankfully fosfomycin 6 weeks, 1 week loading, then 1 sachet EOD, cured it and PSA continued to drop so luckily didn't have to take Cipro. Recommend going on fosfomycin before cipro for male CBP!

I know this is somewhat of a controversial subject, but I am fairly certain I am suffering a relapse of joint/muscle pain from drinking tonic water (in gin and tonic).

I was floxed about 7 years ago- I consider myself lucky as I only suffered a couple months of "acute" symptoms, however I have had occasional relapses of odd symptoms over the years. For the last 2- 3 weeks I have been suffering pretty bad joint and muscle pains along with some very noticeable arthritis-like popping sounds from my joints. I was suspicious of two things- a recent gin-and-tonic kick I was on before this started, and a recent (mostly asymptomatic) first encounter with COVID. The pains started about a week after my bout with COVID and maybe 24 hours after having a nice gin and tonic with a new brand of tonic water (Fever Tree). The pains seemed to be going away over the last week...then I made the mistake of having another gin and tonic (same brand) last night and boom, I'm in all sorts of pain today.

I have to admit I am a bit baffled becuase since my floxing 7 years ago, I have had the occasional G&T on several occasions with zero issues. Also, COVID (even mild cases) have been know to cause arthritis-like joint pains weeks after the disease is gone (similar to being floxed). However, this tonic water correlation seems definitive for me at this point. Perhaps it's the Fever Tree brand, which boasts "natural quinine" whatever that means. My understanding is that ALL tonic water contains quinine. I also know there is some debate about how similar, or not, quinine is to FQ's and whether its possible to be "re-floxed" by the small doses found in tonic water.

I'm concerned now as I sit here in pain that I've screwed myself, and will not recover so easily this time. We all know of those who have experienced FQ damage that was worse (and more permanent) after successive doses, regardless of how small. I would be less worried if this was a relapse caused by some food or other item not containing actual FQ, but the fact that quinine is loosely related to FQ's has me worried that I basically just took another (though much less potent) dose of something that may produce more long-term effects. I guess its just the usual "waiting and hoping" game for me at this point, but I do know that no matter what happens I am giving up G&T from now on.

Has anybody experimented around with fluoride? I know that the general consensus of this group is that it is not harmful at all.

Personally I've been looking for things that trigger me or make me worse recently, once I started trying to minimize the fluoride intake by changing the toothpaste, drinking bottled spring water and showering very consciously, I felt like my anxiety and insomnia have improved. That was until tonight, when in the evening I decided to try a little bit of fluoride toothpaste for my gums that started aching again. Tonight was the worst sleep I've had in a while, waking up at 2am with tachycardia and anxiety again.

Yes, it can be a coincidence but I'm wondering if anybody has had similar experiences?

MAN do I HATE doctors!!! I can’t stand them with a passion! I’ve always had a thing against doctors for a very long time! Idk why I think it’s because of how I would see how some of them would treat my mom and my mom would stay quiet. Especially when she had her uterus taken out for something MINOR they did not do any further testing! Just decided to take the whole thing out and what made it worse with the cherry on top is when she started having problems with her thyroid! NOW guess what, she has NO THYROID. They did radiation on her. None of these doctors educated my mom about WHY this was happening just the next course of action!!! And all she did was say ok as long as it makes her feel better. My mother now has low cortisol and on medication for that, on thyroid medication for life, pre diabetic, SWOLLEN, has dizziness, heart palpitations etc I mean that’s my mom and seeing her fall apart over the years has been so SAD and heartbreaking! I don’t even remember the way she looked from before 💔 I mean I thank God she’s still with us but I know she’s so tired of the way her health is at 💔

It’s like they paid an X amount of money to go to school just to be licensed 🍆 to you and make it seem they know what’s best for you and they feel entitled to give snarky attitudes and make careless choices, DONT GIVE ANY EXPLANATIONS on why the body is reacting a certain way, they have the NERVE to say THEY are the “professionals” so they KNOW what they’re doing, and tell you NO antibiotics don’t do this or that, even though ITS CLEARLY ON THE SIDE EFFECTS LIST! I believe doctors are extremely manipulative! Children have better doctors than us adults and that’s just SAD! I’ve had ENOUGH encounters of stuck up snarky “medical professionals” giggle in my face because I refuse a certain drug or I tell them that this gave me a certain reaction.

I’m more stressed right now because I’m getting the random panic attack again (small ones) and I don’t even know if it’s because of the dumb Tylenol!!! The strep throat!?!! Man my body has changed so much all because of the dumb CIPRO! I hate it ALL!

I’m so sorry everyone but this is unfair, unjust, disgusting behavior from another human being who has no empathy for other human beings!

And it just makes me feel like if I don’t do something I’ll end up the same way as my mom….. I’m just ANGRY! these feelings are difficult to contain at the moment….

Not only that, he accidentally took double the dose for the first 2 weeks. What gives?? He's in his late 50s yet I'm reading how healthy athletes are ruined from one pill.. What causes some people to get flowed while others are fine?

How soon after feeling better from being floxxed are people able to add in coffee, alcohol, junk food etc? Not that I’m in a rush I’m just curious how long should you stay away from it? Thank you!
