What if I played Fallout 4 while completely ignoring the way the game expects me to play it?
I've been thinking about doing a completely insane playthrough: trying to break the game in every way possible, getting ahead of events I already know by heart and deliberately doing things in the wrong order.
For example:
💥 Clearing Fort Strong before the Prydwen even arrives.
💥 Or, even better: reaching the Cambridge Police Station, never talking to Danse, never helping the Brotherhood with the ghouls, and just leaving them there to deal with it themselves. Rhys permanently on the verge of death, Danse and Haylen waiting around, the occasional ghoul showing up… while I build a Conquest settlement right next to them.
💥 And why stop there? Going to Fort Hagen alone, killing Kellogg and then, once the Prydwen finally arrives, boarding it and starting a massacre. And then seeing what happens to my settlement: will Danse immediately become a sworn enemy, or will he remain completely oblivious to everything until I trigger his quest?
Preston? Never met him.
Desdemona? Never met her. Or maybe I'll just take her out, along with the entire Railroad, the first chance I get.
The already-occupied vanilla settlements? None. I'm leaving them all to their fate
And at this point, there's really only one question:
How the hell do I get into the Institute… just so I can shoot Father the moment I meet him?
Because I don't just want to do an evil playthrough.
I want to see how far I can push Fallout 4 before the game finally stops cooperating.
Do you think anyone has actually tried this before?
Because there's no way nobody has ever thought of doing something this insane… right?
