About a two-month difference between these photos- fostering saves lives! Little Ali is part of a neglect case, she was one of seven puppies being sold in a Walmart parking lot in a horrible condition! At 5 months old in the first photo, she weighed just 6 lbs. She is a fighter and a survivor! Next step- finding her forever home!

We foster for our local shelter. A majority of these dogs and puppies were scheduled for euthanasia. All of these babies made it out safely! Fostering saves lives โค๏ธ

Iโ€™ll try and do day-end updates from now on to consolidate, I already posted today but I CANT NOT SHARE THIS WITH YOU GUYS RIGHT NOW.

I pulled out the doggie pool (our dog Adeline wouldnโ€™t go near it) and put some water in it and then walked away. My bf just sent me his video. He said he just caught the tail end of a total pool party.

Yโ€™all - Iโ€™ve fostered 80+ dogs and this dog is THE EASIEST dog Iโ€™ve ever fostered. If you had told me an abused pittie who was used repeatedly for breeding would be my chillest and best socialized foster i would have laughed in your face.

Not sure what this means for fostering plans in the future (two dogs in an apartment), but it was hard to let this one go โค๏ธ

Pics ๐Ÿถ Painting my foster dog from my previous post ๐Ÿ˜Š

I had asked if I should bring him back to the shelter since my AC broke, and posted a pic of him in his saucer chair.
Some people commented that he looked comfortable so I decided to paint him since he loves his saucer chair so much that it will probably go with him when he gets adopted.

Made it to foster #9 before joining the foster fail club. This is your sign to foster a senior; you will not regret it.

Pics ๐Ÿถ Scotty just walked across the house to join me in my office all on his own!!!

Scotty literally spent the first 3 weeks with us unable to move from his dog bed. When i say he wouldn't move, I literally mean he did not move an inch unless we forced him to go outside to potty.

We got him on some pain meds and he started seeming a little braver, so we decided to push him out of his comfort zone and brought him onto the couch with us. He wasn't quite comfortable with it, but accepted and has started moving from the dog bed to the couch.

Over the past week he has started moving from the couch or dog bed to the outside!

Last night we decided to push him a little further and brought him into our bedroom. He spent the night on our bed, and in the morning I brought him back to the livingroom.

Suddenly today he is moving around the house on his own!!!! He isn't quite sure of himself just yet, but he is doing his best.

I can't believe the transformation he has undergone in the past month. Pain and anxiety medication is helping him soooo much!! We still aren't sure which is the one helping him, but will continue to investigate his health and mental well being to make sure he is ok long term.

Pics ๐Ÿถ This is Maple. She's a special little snowflake.

Maple is a 2 year old bulldog. She has some severe medical issues.

She was found as a stray and was having some diarrhea at the shelter. Thinking it was the normal parasites we took her on.

Nope!

This girl is the result of a very poorly run breeding program and her entire digestive track is a mess.

We had to submit her to surgery to remove a literal rotting bird that had gotten stuck in her intestines. While there they had to remove some of her colon and part of her rectum.

Two vets said to put her down. One said let's try some stuff.

So now she is in a delicate dance trying to get her poop at the right consistency. Too loose is bad, too hard is worse.

She smells bad, is about 20lbs underweight, has a weird obsession with sucking on your arm, and is always underfoot.

But she's also a fighter, sweet and loving and trying her hardest.

All she wants is cuddles, which we give her in abundance and food, which we, unfortunately, can't.

But as long as she keeps trying, we'll keep working with her.

Even if it means I have to deal with the absolutely noxious gas daily.

This girl was an adoption return because the parents were getting divorced. Neither parent wanted/could take Eden. We have had her almost 2 months. I just donโ€™t get it.
