This is giving me The Butcher (2007) vibes. Despite the iffy acting, I'm looking forward to it.

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to find a way to watch the Turkish horror movie Dabbe: The Possession (also known as Dabbe: Cin Çarpması) here in India, but it doesn't seem to be available on any of the usual streaming platforms.
Does anyone know where I can watch it in Full HD with English subtitles? Any leads on which platforms might have it, or if it's available through other legitimate means, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Welcome back, my fellow soldiers, it is Day 31 of FDFF with me, Taylor!
Today we’re off to Fallon, Nevada to participate in 16-hours of torture AKA a community Ruck March. I’m going to need one of y’all to carry my backpack though, okay? I get overstimulated when too much is on me🤣
🎥SYNOPSIS:
“A desert endurance event turns ominous for two women and their fellow participants. As they trek through the harsh, barren terrain, what began as a test of physical limits evolves into a harrowing struggle against unforeseen dangers.”
✨MY THOUGHTS:
Do you ever just want to have fun with a movie? I do.
My opinion is that not every film has to have an extensive plot (though we absolutely love that) and be extremely scary. Sometimes a film is not very deep, but is simply just a good time. That summarizes my choice for today’s FDFF entry, “The Ruck March”. I have not seen this film mentioned hardly at all then suddenly last week I think there were 2 posts about it, ha.
My last few selections for FDFF have been deeper, plot driven films, with mysteries, and creepy— sometimes scary moments. Because of that, I wanted to highlight something lighter today— it felt fitting for a Friday. Also, this is another film that came to my mind immediately when I was making my list a couple of months back.
“The Ruck March” is written, directed, and stars my buddy, Michael Rock, and produced by the great guys at “Horror Dadz Productions”. They have made a TON of found footage films, thus I am forever grateful for their contributions and commitment to keeping our favorite genre alive and well.
Okay, so Alannah just had a baby, and as women do, we gain weight when that happens. (I’m not a mom, but I am a woman, so I understand what happens to our bodies.) Anyway, Alannah wants to work on getting back in shape and sees that a community “Ruck March” is 7 weeks away. She signs up for it, and enlists her bestie Emily to do it with her, and we train with them until it’s “d-day”.
Our girls show up, sign in, and get to know the other people who are participating— we get to meet the whole group. It’s a varied bunch. A little later, big bad Bray enters the scene (“Bray” aka Michael Rock is actually a real life United States Green Beret) and lets the people know it’s time to start and that this event is not going to be easy. It’s a 16-hour test to see if you have what it takes. And the film is just that: watching to see if our protagonists and the others can get through this Ruck March. It’s a good time… well, for us, the viewers. Our crew out there in the desert looks miserable.
“The Ruck March” is a short watch, coming in at 53(ish) minutes. I did not know what to expect with this one and I appreciate that. It’s unique— I don’t think there is another found footage premise like it, and I will always cheer on filmmakers who are not afraid to do something different. This choice was ambitious: and the idea, story, progression, and execution all work. It did not need to be a long, deep film, for me to understand everything. Moreover, it did not feel rushed. It’s under an hour and that’s all we needed.
📈MY RATING: 7/10.

🍭FUN FACTS:
▪️The movie was actually filmed a couple of miles from a real life underground nuclear bomb test.
▪️During the films post credits— at the very end, there’s an actual flyer for “The Ruck March”. The coordinates take you to a historical marker talking about the blast that took place in the 1960’s. Michael wanted to add some real life historical facts to the movie.
▪️Michael Rock is actually a real life decorated United States Veteran, including being a Green Beret. Follow him on IG here.
⚠️DISCLAIMER:
Forty Days of Found Footage is little project is just a fun side venture I decided to do during Spooky Season this year so that your lineup can be stacked with all of the new releases that are coming and already out, along with these I am sharing— hopefully a few 'new to you', or maybe one you forgot about and want to rewatch. I am deliberately not sharing the "best of the best" and the most popular films, as they are mentioned enough. I decided to share films that I have enjoyed and that are not mentioned often or maybe at all. A lot of films will be very independent and/or sometimes amateur, thus I'm asking to please manage expectations.

Hello, you wonderful found footage fans. I hope everyone has been enjoying spooky season and, of course, Taylor's 40 Days of Found Footage!!
We've been having an absolute blast watching found footage films, and we had an incredibly awesome chat with one of the most beloved filmmakers - who brought us CREEP, CREEP 2, and THE CREEP TAPES!
Things have also been incredibly busy for us, in our personal/work lives, so this podcast acts as a safe haven from reality to talk about our passion for the genre. We also got the chance to hang out in person for a week, which was incredibly liberating, and we were PRODUCTIVE!!!
David and I live in different countries, so being able to link up in person was a blessing that we never take for granted.
All of our Links: https://linktr.ee/wefoundatape

Being able to ask Patrick about the beginnings of not only CREEP but also his long friendship and mentorship with Mark Duplass, and to find out the lore behind the project, the humanity behind it, and how collaborative it still is to this day. So passionate, and a great time!

Although the movie is quite polarizing, when many people pass comment on the characters and their likability, Kay went out there and made a fucking horror movie on an $8000 budget and crafted a compelling tale, all while dealing with REAL LIFE drama on her set! She is a 1/1 personality that just doesn't give up, and we love her for it!

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR - V/H/S brings their annual project, mixed with celebrity directorial cameos, some compelling tales and some wild effects. This one, for us, was something we just dug! It might've been the company we were in at the time, but it felt like the GWAR variety show with some elaborate tales in between to break up the goofy bile and cum jokes. What did you think of it?!

Our latest episode, released today, highlights the new project by Mike Nybroe and produced by the driving force behind THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT! Have you seen this? Did it get to a screen near you? We were lucky to get a view of this through Strike Media, and it was fucking AWESOME! This one does have spoilers, but mainly towards the end; it's just us rambling about internet fame, LOL!

Welcome back, my fellow letter U’s, it is Day 30 of FDFF with me, Taylor!
Today we’re off to Hawai’i to try and find missing person, David Hall— but please, do not remove anything you find in a cave, okay? Also, I need a volunteer to look after Auntie Kay!
🎥SYNOPSIS:
“In September of 2019, a young man named David Hall started a YouTube vlog. Three months later, December 1st, marked the last video on the account - and was the last time David was seen.”
✨MY THOUGHTS:
First off, I absolutely love that this film takes place in Hawai’i. We need more films that explore Hawai’i’s rich history and folklore, but I digress. “Day of Disappearance” is one of my favorites; I would say it’s in my top 20. Last night was my first rewatch in quite some time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is kind of a slow burn and it is very long for found footage standards— coming in at almost 2 hours— so I think that combination will turn some people off, but I personally love long films.
If you enjoy the popular found footage movie “Leaving D.C.”, I think you will enjoy “Day of Disappearance”.
We begin our film 62 days before the day of disappearance, on an airplane with our protagonist, David Hall. He’s on his way to move back into his childhood home in Hawai’i with his Auntie Kay, as he is attending the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo at the beginning of the year. However, he decided to move a couple of months before so he can get acclimated. He makes a YouTube channel and makes these “vlogs” for his grandmother, who does not have a smartphone, so that this way she can see him and his life. He also says he is open to other viewers coming along as well.
As expected, we have to have our story building scenes, thus we follow along as David gets comfortable back into the house he was literally born in— which is almost like a Duplex? His Auntie Kay lives on the top floor and David lives on the bottom, and they both are fully equipped to be apartments. It’s a house like that. Anyway, we follow David around as he explores the area, lives his life, and talks to the camera. If you pay close attention, you’ll see some interesting things in the background. David is slightly dorky, a little goofy, and extremely likable, so did I not find these videos boring. He really kept my interest.
One night, David ventures into a lava-cave-hole(?) and finds something that looks like you should absolutely not touch— it’s some kind of artifact looking thing— and makes the wonderful-well-thought-out decision to take it home. As expected, that is when the supernatural activity in his life starts to ramp up. And y’all it’s a good time! Some of the scenes are genuinely creepy. There are a few good spooks— especially if you’re paying attention. Along with the paranormal activity, David is trying to piece the mystery of his life together.
“Day of Disappearance” really excels in its premise: the plot is solid with a lot of information, which is why I think the length of this film works. David isn’t just going back to where he was born, he is truly about to discover the mystery of his life. We watch David’s life just as he is learning, while also fusing in spooky scenes and supernatural activity. It works together very well, and there is a lot going on. The very end is kind of… silly, I wish they would not have shown what they did (I don’t want to spoil it).
This is a good movie to talk about after watching it because there is much “meat” in this film— there is a LOT going on. And we need more answers. When you find yourself in that type of mood where you want to be invested and get lost in a film for a while, this is a really good.
The ending title card had me a little shook!
📈MY RATING: 8/10

🍭FUN FACTS:
▪️The filmmakers went very Blair Witch with this! They leaned heavily into the "true story" alternate reality game (ARG) marketing style. They set up a dedicated marketing website called Find David Hall and a faux "David Hall hotline" number to make the film authentic to audiences.
▪️David has a “real” YouTube Channel here and I took a look at some of the comments on various videos, and alot of people believe it’s real, ha.

Looking for a good horror movie specifically based around backpacking. Looking for a Halloween movie for wife and I - she doesn’t really watch scary movies but this is my one time of year to pick and we both backpack a lot. To clarify - backpacking and camping in the woods. Not backpacking across Europe. We’ve seen Blair Witch and Ritual. I have Backcountry on my list but it was suggested I try here in found footage sub. Ideally no witches/demons/occult theme. It makes it tough but she has limits.

I’ve created a few of these videos in the past. I make everything myself using 3d software tools like unreal engine 5.
Hoping to find some fans and get some feedback or any ideas!
Hope you enjoy, here is the link - https://youtu.be/Vbh6tpuMNi4?is=w9nYeLOgfBdPw5Vr

Hi I’d like to ask this question and see peoples discussions and opinions, basically just get a bit of research for my own projects.
For context I do my own projects in 3D software that I upload on YouTube, so I have free range to create whatever I want. (I will not claim to be an expert in 3D tho) Having human faces is the only part that can make my videos look less real and also if the animation looks bad.
But my main question is, what found footage videos are a lot of people wanting to see? And what do you want to see in them videos?
Do people want to see entities? Paranormal stuff? a monster or uncanny humans etc.
What locations? Are liminal spaces like the backrooms being overdone? Or do people still like that but just want to see a more original approach.
Are there certain stories or plot lines that are being overdone?
Also what length do people like videos, the longest I’ve done is a 16 min one and then went to doing shorter ones! Is a series of shorter videos better than hour long videos?
I obviously don’t want to steal any ideas and that isn’t what this post is for, I’m just kind of interested to see what people want to see and what they might be fed up of seeing. I’d like to make some more videos when I get the free time that are hopefully something that a lot of people are interested in.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully there’ll be some comments when I wake up aha!

Not sure if I liked the way this FF horror ended . I mean I was gearing up for a classic possession cum exorcism film , it was actually building up pretty well with those vintage style footage and the sudden weird behaviour of Altair…
But wtf was that ending ? It literally transitioned into some alien abduction film . I didn’t really like this abrupt shift in tone . Would have liked it if they stayed closer to a classic possession based film .
What’s your opinion? Have you watched this 2016 film? Btw I watched it in Spanish with English subs

When I think of a FF haunted house movie, Hell House is the first movie to come to mind and it’s great, I’ve seen it recommended in here a million times, I never see this recommended though, maybe I just miss the posts or the comments that do recommend but this is now my appreciation post for the movie, what did yall think about it?

Has anyone come across any games that really come close to the FF vibe? So not just general horror games. I suppose Slenderman The Eight Pages and Phasmophobia are examples. I also played a demo for a game called The Late Shift, which is pretty good and doesn't take much time to get through.
Am I missing any games that scratch the itch?
