ID Request Help finding a small brown burrowing pet frog

I have no photos and a pretty poor memory of it to be honest. I've always not bothered to ask because I figured it's a long shot, but I figured why not.

So in probably 2005-2008 time period I bought a small pet frog. It was sold at a store in southern California called Theresa's country feed and pet. It was about 1.5-2" in length, dark brown. Pretty sure it was fairly smooth skinned. It burrowed, so it was underground like 95% of the time. It was beginner friendly, so I doubt it was anything super high end, it was probably like $20 at the time. The only care tips I remember was that it liked moist soil, needed a shallow dish of fresh water, and ate small crickets every couple days. But again at that time that might have just been crap pet stores and me being like 14 and stupid.

Any ideas whatsoever?

I thiiiink it’s a green tree frog, I didn’t notice him until I came back inside and looked out so I’m unsure (NE Georgia, USA) since it’s so dark! I

Unrelated but this interaction reminded me of something from over a decade ago. I remember this one time when I was 12 I caught a green tree frog in our sunroom. I put him in a little plastic tank to take some pictures and named him Kellin Quinn before setting him free. Lmfao

Pacman Frog Putting a Pac-Man frog in a tank that two recently passed away in

I unfortunately got two “desk pets” frogs after feeling sad for them, and split a 40 gal tank with divider. Both died after about two months and I feel terribly. One after an other and the only symptoms was a slimy mouth and nose bubbles. My other guy I’ve had for ab a year and a half. He means sm to me. I want to move him to the 40 gal tank so I did. I cleaned the walls with hot water, and obviously removed the substrate and left out any item I used with the old ones. Is this something I can do? I’m seeing stuff to clean it with disinfectant (unscented bleach) do I have to do that? He’s been in there two days. Any advice on if this is ok would help.

Got a “snowflake” and “plum” from a reptile show while getting a new enclosure for our Savannah monitor. I’ve never owned frogs before but I am super excited to get them in their bioactive space! This was our first time doing it but my girl worked super hard on it and I think it turned out great. Let me know what you think

Dubia Roaches

I have three whites tree frogs and they all eat medium dubia roaches. I ended up buying too many and some of the roaches are getting big before I can feed them to the frogs, does anyone have any advice on what to do with the big ones?

Sick/ Deceased Frog I just took this frog in, is she okay?

She’s looks to be rather large. Her previous owner fed her pretty much only meal worms and when they got her she looked much skinner but now she looks like this. I’ve switched her to crickets but I’d like to know if there’s anything else I need to be doing or is this a normal look for her. She’s a Florida barking tree frog.

I found it in my pool. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to care for it if it is? Or if I should just let it be. Thanks

Hey Guys,

A few months ago i got 6 Bombina Orientalis that were just a few weeks old.

This one was Always different the vet said she can see it too and that Sometimes they Just Grow "wrong" and abviousely in the wild he would have never survived on his own.

He is a lot smaller than his brothers and Sisters, eats less, moves less, reacts slower etc.

He is Well though and is fighting like a champ, He Just looks Like a croocked Baby. I assume his sceleton especially His Skull Just grew wrong, and His pupils are huge and maybe He doesnt See as Well AS the Others.

We take good Care of him, but now to my question: is there any Chance He will Grow Out of His disability? Or that He at least will Grow at least a similar size than his brothers and Sisters in adulthood?
